Beneath Broadwick Street you will find Soho’s original smokehouse. Known for meat, mezcal, tacos and good vibes, temper is centred around a giant fire pit, with a mix of counter dining to watch our chefs in action and leather booths for feasting.

Meat is bought in from English farms, aged in-house then butchered by our team and cooked over fire, served in corn tacos or on house-made parathas.

There’s also a legendary Sunday roast and Saturday bottomless brunch on offer, plus space for big groups and special occasions.

temper Soho is a fantastic venue right in the middle of the West End. Fire, steaks and cocktails take the lead on the menu and this smoky, sultry dining room with fire pit provides a unique backdrop for any occasion. Our private dining room offers privacy as well still feeling apart of all the action of the restaurant and open plan kitchen. It's a great space for a secret hideaway for up to 22 guests seated or 25 standing. Alternatively, for the ultimate experience, hire the entire restaurant for exclusive hire up to 150 guests. Our Group Feast Menus have been designed for larger groups, served family style to the tables for sharing, the temper way. Our Events Manager will work with you to create a bespoke event to your preferences, but with a twist!

New to us, We were pleasantly surprised and everything was top-notch. The serving staff was both patient and super friendly. The food was perfect for us and we loved the vibrant atmosphere. There will be a return trip

Would recommend to meat lovers who like the raw low key fun experience. Great venue with great atmosphere - good music, good attentive service, good drinks, great food for meat lovers. Environment - Low key, loud, smokey, bustling restaurant. Expect an assult on your sense in this purposely low-lit basement smokehouse - providing focus on flaming centrally placed kitchen and the chefs preparing the meat over the flaming BBQ's and grills. Be prepared to share meat cuts as they don't have many cuts under 500g..as they say "when they're gone, they're gone"

Portions and cuts of meat were small and tasteless. The weight of the rib eye bone left no meat to eat. If you want a 300g rib eye the order 800g do you also get some meat. Temper did prepare an extra steak but that took 25 minutes by which time all our sides were cold. Service was good as was the atmosphere.

Food cleanliness was a bit shocking when watching the open kitchen and the roast left a lot to be desired.

Temper was a surprise! It looks like a pub but it was amazing fine dining! Steaks cooked to perfection! Tacos creative and delicious! The corn and potatoes sides were wonderful!
