From start to finish, they made our anniversary special! The food was great and the staff were absolutely a dream!
Completely disrespectful staff. Long time customer, but will never return.
It was extremely crowded. People on top of people. The restaurant did not seem festive at all. Our server was not friendly. All business. Mostly the steak was tough and fatty. I’ve been to other steak houses and you don’t mind paying for a steak but it should be perfect. This was anything but. Unfortunately we will not be going back at all.
Chris P Is the best waiter, always consistent, kind, and has your order memorized after one visit
We were eight people, they took us on time food was wonderful and served at a nice pace. You never feel rushed
Had checked our coats and then was walked outside and around to sister building on a cold night without being told beforehand. Too noisy to hear my companion across the table and slow to take drink order but appetizers came quick. Not worth the prices.
Food was delicious and server was very attentive Ate in bar area which we wanted to be in and it was perfect
The service was impeccable the food was perfectly done we had a very nice night
Amazing in every way!
Excellent place! Great food and service. Love the Gold Bar!
The atmosphere and service were fine. The “Thanksgiving” dinner was terrible and expensive. Perhaps it’s better earlier in the day. We were seated at 6:00.
My only criticism is that my steak, delmonico, was very fatty and difficult to cut.
Thanksgiving Special was truly excellent! Stated off with the best Lobster Bisque I have ever eaten. Things got better from there.
excellent food and excellent service! Loved our waiter John!
Love the power lunch special.
The manager Tim and my waiter Luke were phenomenal. Highly recommend. The food is amazing as well!
A decent meal……………………………………………………………………………………………..
Food is phenomenal, as is the service. It's a bit loud, so sit upstairs (if it's open)if you like a bit quieter meal.
I was very disappointed with the prices, portion and the food. I am not one to complain but Teller's has been one of my favorite restaurants. The food was mediocre at best. It was very overpriced and undersized. I ordered the Delmonico. I was ok. It was much smaller than I recall and was not cooked to "medium." I expect more for a $61 steak. My wife ordered the salmon. It was ridiculously small and garnished with undercooked cabbage.
I was blown away that Teller's no longer puts bread on the table. I know it seems like a small thing but asking customers to pay for bread is ridiculous. It is insulting to ask your customers to pay for bread at such a costly restaurant. I spent $210 plus a $45 tip (my waiter was very good and worth the tip) and they don't offer $1 worth of complimentary bread? It doesn't make sense.
I had a cast on my ankle and was seated upstairs which was a great difficulty for me. Ordered the Tellers signature ribeye and it came out undercooked. When it came back it was just ok. A bit tougher then a $130 steak should be. I was disappointed. Rest of the meal was fine as usual.
Thank you Tellers for making our Night so Special !
Welcomed with a card with congratulations on it , the service and the food is always outstanding! Our waiter was so nice and surprised us with a champagne toast . !
It’s the little touches that set you apart from the other steak houses ! Oh and you have great bartenders who always my drinks on point ❣️
My husband and I went to Tellers last weekend and it was honestly the best dining experience we have had in a very long time. Matt was our server and he fantastic. He helped us choose what to order and he was spot on with his suggestions. He was attentive and just overall a great server. The food was delicious and the timing which it came out was perfect. Great night overall. We love Tellers but now we know whose section to request to sit in next time we go :)
Food was great. Service was good. Ambiance was nice. Portions of the appetizers were small. Otherwise, all was great
Food was awesome and the staff was very friendly and accommodating
Everything was good, although I wasn’t expecting to be seated in their new area, known as Tellers “next door”. This was the old Italian place Verace, and it was nice… just not as nice as regular part of original Tellers. Overall food & service was good, just not GREAT like some other equally priced steak houses on LI
Overall this place will see us again. Food was on the money.
Good food and service.
Went for the “Power Lunch” price fix for a quick business meeting. Service and food were excellent. Will be back soon.
Had small and large Filet Mignon. Taste good, but not worth $$$. Service is excellent. I will only try them again for lunch.
We celebrated a birthday. The dinner was excellent as was the service.
The food was consistently good
It’s one of those restaurants you can go to lunch or for dinner and have quality food served to you by an expert waiter
our way to Bobby was very very considerate. He asked if we wanted to enjoy our cocktail before dinner before he brings you have any food which was a much appreciated
Our beef Wellington Was very delicious/ Cooked to perfection
Food was terrible and very overpriced. The restaurant was so overcrowded with tables crammed in everywhere. Impossible to converse with anyone due to the noise level. You need to pay for a breadbasket even though you are paying $70 for a small steak and nothing with it. Drinks had minimal alcohol in them. I will not be going back.
We had a great time , everyone is friendly and professional
Excellent service at Tellers Next Door, I will definitely be returning.
We made a reservation and was walked outside in the cold to the building next door. The service was not up to the regular standards. They kept forgetting us and the extras we ordered. This is usually our go to spots for birthdays but I was very unhappy with this visit.
update. One of the owners emailed me to apologize after he read the review. I thought that was so nice of him to take the time to do that! I have always had such great meals and service so I will definitely be back!**
Very expensive now. Not worth the money. Poor quality as wife's salmon dinner came cold and had to be returned twice before they got it right. Very crowded. Did not feel COVID safe. Very few wore masks including the wail staff. BTW this was not me first visit to Tellers but it was the worst visit.
Everything is always great at Teller's. Food is scrumptious and service is attentive and friendly. It was a little more crowded than I had anticipated, since our reservations were relatively early (5:45 on a Saturday night) but it was restaurant week so that's understandable. The only thing that annoyed me was the maitre'd in charge of seating us when we checked in. I told him I left a message on their answering machine requesting a table in the bar area or against the wall because my husband is hard of hearing. He told me that they never listen to their answering machine! Really??? Then what's the point of having it?!?! That being said, our waiter, Will, was great as were all of the rest of the wait staff.
We were very disappointed with Tellers. We ordered Filet mignon in puff pastry but what was served was soggy and overdone. The pastry looked like melted cheese. Apparently, the Beef Wellington had been microwaved.
This should not happen in a steak house.
Food was great, overall experience was great but a little pricy. Worth it though.
Was not happy with the salad. Very small and a quarter of an apple sliced so thin and about a teaspoon of cheese. The lobster bisque had ZERO Lobster in it. The size of the salmon was tiny for the price. The burnt broccoli was so oily. They sat us upstairs in a tiny little room with more tables in it then there Should have been. Just not a great experience at all and for the price, you’d think they actually gave you food.
