Seafood paella with lobster, gulf shrimp & cuttlefish
Brussels Sprouts** ^
Brussels sprouts with aged cheese & lemon honey dressing
Roasted chicken empanadas with spicy aioli
The waitress didn’t mention that the tip is already included in the bill so I ended up paying 40% tip and that didn’t feel right
Fun place. Paella was excellent, with extra rec's for the mojitos and sangria.
Food drinks awesome
I got the best seating by the window inside
The waitress who served our table deserves 10 stars ..she was awesome
It was my birthday. I requested a window table 3 times, once online, once when they called me that day, and then when we checked in. Ended up with the crappiest table in the place. Hostesses are snotty and unresponsive.
Food was not very good, certainly not for the price you pay. The lobster paella, probably had 2-3 ounces of lobster in it for 2 people. There were two shrimp in the paella. Not authentic in any way. Rice was not crispy, no peas in the paella. 98% rice.
The two appetizers were at best OK.
Sure won't go back to this overpriced hole.
The food was great. The service was awesome. I highly recommend. I had papas bravas, cauliflower, and Paella Mixta. All very good.
Waitress came by rarely. The tip is automatic so they don’t work for good tips, thus not giving their best in service
Amazing food and service. It was a perfect dinner for a group of friends. Will come again.
Fantastic service and quality food. Parking is available in the garage behind. The choice and quality of the cocktails was outstanding. I'll go back there again with family, friends and any celebrations.
Too expensive and no too much food
We knew that the noise level would be high. We requested a quiet table away from the speakers. Our table was directly under a speaker! They volunteered to turn the volume down, which lasted for a while. Then the music got more energetic and the speaker volume got higher. So beware.
The service was A+, with an excellent server, water refilled, dirty plates removed promptly. They definitely earned the automatically applied 20% gratuity.
The food was variable. Our dinner consisted entirely of tapas. The standout was the fabulous tuna taquitos. Also excellent was the octopus/pulpo. My husband's ham croquettes were 'quite good' but not exceptionally hammy. Less wonderful were the patatas bravas. The potatoes themselves were not hot and crispy and the brava sauce was skimpy. The most disappointing was the crispy cauliflower. The cauliflower itself was very under-seasoned. That would have been okay if there had been more romesco, but there was only a smidgen of a smear.
I'd still recommend Teleferic Barcelona but know that they can do better!!
Service was excellent. Our reservations was for Earle dinner and no crowd. By the time we finished the restaurant started filling up. Delicious food!
My partner and I had a wonderful time at Teleferic. The atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant was casual and smooth, but also smart. We were seated by a window with a nice view of the downtown area. The cocktails are well crafted, but the food is certainly the highlight of Teleferic. Our tapas came out at a steady pace and while our entrée took a little longer it was well worth the wait. Teleferic also has the best cooked octopus I've ever had; not tough and chewy but tender with a crispy skin.
The service is friendly, professional, and attentive, but not invasive or overly attentive.
The price might be the only thing at Teleferic to give one pause, and it is expensive. However, you get what you pay for and the quality of the food and drink more than made up for the price of the meal.
My partner and I had a wonderful time, and we look forward to our next visit!
I love this place! Food is amazing and authentic Spanish.
I had been to Teleferic Barcelona prior to this visit and at that time it was great...however, I made reservations for a recent Birthday Lunch and it was a HUGE disappointment. We sat outside, which was tightly crowded and Very Noisy...I except that service was slow because they were just getting back up to speed from the long pandemic.
Tapas were great, but the Lobster Paella was a HORROR. I could not believe that they allowed it to leave the kitchen. It was burnt, and dry with an anemic trio of lobster and shrimp. There were not flourishes like lemon wedges, fresh peas or even a sprinkling of fresh parsley. It was unacceptable, and I sent it back.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They comp'd us a round of cocktails, dessert and removed the paella from the bill...Unfortunately, the damage had been done. We left hungry and very disappointed. We went to another local restaurant to complete our meal. I am afraid that I will not return to Teleferic Barcelona...
Overpriced, food was very mediocre
Server, who was very nice but had the entire patio to herself. Got our drinks quickly but took almost an hour for her to come back and put in our food order. Sat at the table for about 30 min after finishing to get our check (about a 3 hour meal that would normally take under and hour) It was a birthday and the desert that was brought out was hard as a rock and could barely be broken off with a spoon or fork.
Great place but noise level is high. fun place for special occasions,
Sangria and appetizers were outstanding. Delicate, interesting and perfectly balanced flavors.
The food was mostly good. The service was excellent. Drinks were really good; presentation was great. I don't feel the pricing matched the menu. It got pretty cold on the patio. There should be more heat lamps.
The food is so terrific and the staff helpful and accommodating. It’s a true celebratory event dining there.
I miss the food cart! Still great though!
Split a Paella Mixta with a friend. It had obviously been cooked in advance and then put under a broiler for several minutes to warm it up. That created a thick hard crust that you had to break through to get to the mushy rice. Not a very enjoyable experience. The grilled pulpo was barely warm, but tasty. This is at 12:15 lunch, and the kitchen definitely was not being overwhelmed. One glass of wine and one Aperol spritz, no dessert, and $120. Won't be coming back.
This restaurant is wonderful! The food is amazing and delicious. The only issue I had was how loud the music was- and it was continuously playing the whole time. I had a migraine headache by the time I left! It was hard at times to hear the waitress - who was excellent- and we could often not hear each other speak - and were repeating ourselves. If the music could be turned down some, then the experience would be perfect!
Great atmosphere and delicious food! I will definitely be coming back!
Every single dish is a hit!
I took my boyfriend to Telefèric Barcelona for date night and we were lucky to reserve the last outdoor patio table. For drinks, I ordered the tourist and he ordered the passion fruit gothic mojito. The tourist has a floral element to it and tastes like there is coconut milk in the mix, but this isn't one of the ingredients listed. If you enjoy drinks more on the sour spectrum, the passion fruit gothic mojito is exactly that. Although neither drinks spoke to us, I'm sure it is appreciated by many.
Enough about the drinks! The food is where it's at. We started with 5 tapas - crab croquettes, empanadas, pulpo telefèric, taquitos de tuna & avocado, salmon tartar - and ended the meal with the paella negra.
The crab croquettes were our favorite dish! The lightly fried panko delicately holds together the creamy and fluffy potatoes inside. This is served with a slice of fresh tuna sashimi on top. Each bite will leave you wanting more.
My boyfriend loved the empanadas. The pulpo telefèric were perfectly grilled and maintained a very soft texture. The marinade on the taquitos de tuna & avocado makes the dish. The rosemary corn tortillas that come with the salmon tartar are homemade (expected) and absolutely delicious. You can taste the love that was put into making these tortillas. They paired perfected with the freshly marinated salmon and avocado.
If you love squid ink and seafood like I do, then you'll love the paella negra. There is a healthy amount of seafood in this dish and we thought this dish is on the larger side. We asked for a couple extra wedges of lemon which boosted the flavor by tenfold.
I highly recommend Telefèric Barcelona for the ambiance, drinks, and 100% the food.
I can't say enough good things about my experience here. The food was absolutely delish. Our server was very attentive and spot on with her recommendations. I would happily recommend this place to anyone.
Dinner was to celebrate with some friends our upcoming move to Spain. Pretty warm evening, so keeping water glasses full for our party of 4 was a task and the staff was up to it. Our Catalan GT was reminiscent of versions we have had in Spain. Overall the food was great although the place was very busy. Low points were the patatas bravas - this iconic dish could have been crisper and the cauliflower - the romesco was almost non-existent. Both the salmon tartare and the tuna "tacos" were delicious, but the pulpo was a stand out (we ordered a second serving it was so good) and not everyone can cook octopus well, this was tender and not rubbery. Gambas al ajillo maybe had a little too much oil. While we loved the Iberico ham (a favorite), the pan con tomate lacked a bit of flavor. I blame somewhat tasteless American tomatoes, not the restaurant. A couple of bottles of a cava rose went well with the food. All in all a lovely evening, helped along by an attentive staff.
Ran out of sangrias, server forgot to give silverware, appetizer arrived after entree, did not communicate with us status of dishes late, automatic 20% gratuity was added
We had a reservation made for my sisters birthday for 1:30pm and we didn't get seated until 1:45pm also it was very warm in the patio and didn’t help we were seated in the sun.
I really liked this place and wanted to share for a special occasion but now I’ll think twice about returning again
I’ve been coming to Teleferic for years and was so happy to get the Sangria Barceloneta and all the delicious tapas again after a year+ of no indoor dining!
Haven't been here since before COVID. Lots of changes from what I could tell to the menu. Unfortunately, not good changes. I'll start with the good. The patatas bravas were the best thing we had. The bad. To be honest, other than knowing the fact that this is a Spanish tapas restaurant, nothing really tasted or seemed very authentic. The corquetas, a gooey blob on the inside. The meatballs? To best describe them, the spices seemed very Indian in flavor. Really weird. The pulpo was ok. We looked at the paella menu but given the experience with the appetizers decided against it. A lot of interesting spins but nothing authentic. I've been to Spain, I'm made paella, I've been to many Spanish restaurants. Never had mushrooms in paella. And none of the paellas listed chorizo, which is a must for paella. Anyway, sad to waste the money given how expensive it was.
I felt like i was back in Barcelona. The music and the food sets the mood. A place to just forget the outside world. A fun place to be.!
Our servers Elizabeth and James were fantastic. We ordered a couple appetizers and the lobster paella which was fantastic as always. We love this place and will be back again soon.
I loved the service and the waiter’s suggestions were so on point. I can’t get over the spiced mango drink and the level of professionalism from all of the servers giving us ample attention and care. I am already booking my next reservation!
Always enjoy coming here ! I’m glad they had availability to make reservations for the weekends too!
It was my daughters birthday lunch. Would have given it 5 stars but they asked us to leave because there was a reservation after us. #notcool
Love this place, good service good vibes and good food. The ahi tacos and pulpo are perfect!
This place is ALWAYS great. Gorgeous ambiance. International clientele AND staff. I love that the hostess speaks Castilian Spanish. This place is truly authentic. You really can't beat it. You don't have to fly to Spain, but you get to be immersed in a beautiful culture of food and hospitality. An added BONUS (not to be missed) is the weekly Flamenco night!
But what about the FOOD?
I've been here multiple times and will continue to come back. It's THAT good. And I'm a really picky eater. I lived in NYC for 10 years. I've eaten at a lot of great places and at every budget, from the best $2.00 taco to the finest Michelin star restaurant. I've eaten it all, and Teleferic is a place that I will always come back to. The food is excellent. It's always perfectly cooked; it's consistent, too! I've been here several times, and I've never had a mediocre experience. Love it here.
Food was delicious, as usual. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Can’t wait to return.
