Teca Newtown Square
Went there for an anniversary date for dinner. Mozzarella for the appetizer was really good. For dinner we had a burger and pizza. Everything was so good. The service was great. Cocktails were super delicious.
Great food. Server Larry was very nice and attentive. Gave good entree recommendations.
My party of 5 enjoyed our entrees. My 6 oz halibut filet was expertly cooked. It came with artichoke hearts and diced carrots in a well of Evvo. I found the accompanying vegetables a strange choice overall and the Evvo excessive.
The brioche bread pudding was delicious for dessert.
Don’t go here if you are celebrating a special occasion! Unfortunately came here for a birthday and it hurt the night. Both entrees were great but we would’ve loved an app.. maybe salads? By the time our server got to us I already flagged down 2 servers and a manager for drinks. Even put in open table it was a birthday and they still sat us in the worst possible spot... door constantly opening and a gust of air every 30-40 seconds. I could understand if it was the younger hosts who put us there BUT with a manager running the books at the front and where we were sat you could tell they’re more focused on covers and sales then overall guest experience. Such a shame! Wawa hit the spot on the way home after a $100 meal with just 2 entrees! Save yourself the money and possible headache and eat somewhere else.
Great experience on all levels!!
Definitely will go again.
Prosciutto pizza and lemon risotto was outstanding. Attentive and friendly service. Thank you
The food, venue and waiters are great. If you don't mind waiting 45 minutes or more after your reservation time then you'll enjoy TECA. My visit on 2/29/2020 started with a 15 minute wait after our 8pm reservation time and continued for 45 minutes until we were seated at 850pm. From that point our appetizer and entrée ended at 10pm.
Wonderful meal with wonderful people.
Nick the waiter is excellent. Food always above par. Just a great place
Brunch was perfect! The chicken and waffles special was to die for and super crispy
Deliciously Italian! My family loves going to Teca and we highly highly recommend.
We ate at the bar. Service was great and so was the food. Very warm ambiance.
Greatly enjoyed our evening.
I will address this experience privately
The food and service was mediocre. We waited 30-40 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. They definitely overbooked.
Had a reservation for 10 ppl on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was PACKED and seems to have plenty of regulars, but we were less than impressed overall. The food was good - not great - and portions were not impressive for the price. Warning to families that there is not a kids' menu, and you WILL pay more than you'd expect for your children's meal(s). Our server was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed, and our dinners (and even the few desserts we ordered) took a long time to come out, and once they did, my dish was lukewarm temperature at best and two members of our party had to switch steaks based on temperature not as requested. Won't be returning.
Great wine selection and many beers to pick from. The main menu is loaded with great foodies.
The specials are outstanding! Saturday night they had lamb chops that were pressed super thin.
Chops were very tasty. My wife and I both had appetizers and main entrees.
We ordered our dessert to go. Always great service / great prices. Don't be in a rush everything is cooked to order.
The food was just okay, and the price was high for it, probably averaging out to $50 plus per person. We don’t mind paying for good food, but it wasn’t. It was also very loud so definitely not a place if you want good conversation with friends.
We selected a between lunch and dinner reservation. Esther was our server and we were her only customers. She did a great job of taking care of us and even brought a little birthday candle on one of my daughter's drinks, even though we were celebrating 3 birthdays but how would she know? So not problem. As usual, food was great and I made sure to recommend the lemon Ricotta Cheesecake to them for dessert. YUM.
Fabulous food, fabulous service- never disappoints!!
Excellent restaurant, interesting Italian themed menus. Extensive, interesting and widely globally inclusive wine list. Professional waiters you don't see very often create a wonderful dining experience overall.
Must have been an off night. The service was awful. I ordered the branzino and every bite had bones in it. So disappointing as I really like Teca’s branzino. When waiter too my plate over half the fish was uneaten. I mentioned the bones throughout the fish and he was unapologetic. I will come back. Just need to pick a busier night. I think they are on point when they’re busy.
Brunch was fabulous! From the sweets, omelette, eggs Benedict and bottomless drinks! Service was wonderful and attentive!
Our visit to Teca was wonderful. The brunch menu has a large variety of dishes for everyone. Our waiter was exceptional and was very attentive. We enjoyed our experience.
The Valentines Day menu was a disappointment - we were hoping for the full menu. Service was slow - when we finally had our waiter, things went ok but it just felt like a banquet hall - we love the WC Teca and will likely stay true to it.
We went to Teca
Food was good
Taken advantage of on Valentine’s Day
Could have more vegetarian choices (excluding meat and dairy)
Happy times...Valentine's 2020
Felt like Sunday family dinner
valentine’s day, so i had a reservation, and requested a booth. instead, they put us at a table in a banquet room, surrounded by suburban boomers...no music, no ambiance. it was like being at a high end old folks home! they eventually moved us to the main dining area, so ambience improved, but there was plenty of space available in the entire restaurant so i’m not sure why they initially sat us in the banquet room. food was meh, not bad but pretty uninteresting. they had a woman up front handing out roses to the ladies...sweet, but...a little cringy! i’ve always enjoyed the teca in west chester, but won’t come back to this location until my parent (in their 70s) come to visit.
Very good food and service, especially considering it was Valentine's Day and very busy.
First time for me, but local tells me it is one of his family favorites. Free Valet parking, coat check, nice wine selection, ambiance all add to the experience. Upscale Italian food and preparation. Everything from pasta to steak and high end fish selection to pizza. Something for everyone. I would definitely go here again if in the area.
Food was great
Service was a bit lacking
Plan to vallet Park because parking is terrible
Esther was fabulous. Best service I ever had at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Promotion!!!!!
Overall a great experience. Food prices were on point, beer prices were high. Our waitress was amazing, there was an issue with our order and she went above and beyond to fix it.
Parking difficult. Long valet line. So we parked ourselves and had to go into the "senior living" parking lot next door. Noise level too loud.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was very good and served promptly.
Excellent. One of our favorite local restaurants!
We were seated by a kitchen entrance on the periphery of the very loud bar area so ambiance was not the best. My chicken parm was a bit overcooked but slathered in good gravy which helped. Salad was nothing special. My friend had the fish special and said it was very good. It was $38.! House wine $10/glass and the glass was less than half filled. Our server was very attentive. I’ve been to two private gatherings downstairs in the wine cellar and they were very nice but I’m guessing pricey.
Great service, good food. Neighborhood gem.
