Located in the heart of Over-the-Rhine, Teak OTR brings a rich history of award-winning Thai cuisine and sushi from its early days in Cincinnati’s Mt. Adams neighborhood. Teak is a beloved OTR gem located across from Washington Park within walking distance of FC Cincinnati games and venues such as Music Hall.     I've tried Teak OTR a few times because of its convenient location, but never again. It is consistently the worst Thai food I've had. Thai has been my favorite cuisine for 20+ years, and I've never had Thai food worse than Teak's. The food is salty, lacks flavor, and is drowning in sauce. I've given Teak multiple tries, and it keeps disappointing me. It's also noisy, and our server was rushed and forgetful.

    Excellent food, especially the lettuce rolls. The food was 4 or 5 stars but I’m rating 3 stars because despite booking our reservations 5 days early, we were sat at an incredibly poor table, such a bad table that I wish I had walked out. We were sat between the DoorDash pick-up site and the restrooms with no other seating options available. I’m sure the owners realize this table is horrible and they probably just hope that no one who sits at it gets asked by OpenTable to rate the restaurant. . .

    They sat us right away as we were 5 minutes late. We elected to sit outside on a gorgeous night. Street noise was loud but still enjoyable. Fast service. Yummy crab puffs and edamame. Enjoyed the ginger stir fry with shrimp and husband liked his chicken and rice. Tasty all around

    Her Chicken & Broccoli meal was great. I had the Ginger-Salmon Stir Fry. Nowhere in the menu did it say the fish would be breaded before frying: it arrived as a mound of VERY oily chunks, the larger ones ok but the smaller ones were just oil-bread blobs. The ginger and asparagus were mixed in well, but I honestly ate less than half of it for all the oil. DON'T order this dish.

    We honestly were looking forward to our dinner at Teak because so many people had recommended Teak. Our dinner was so gross with no flavor or spice. Both our meals were over cooked (crispy duck and salmon) with absolutely no flavor. It was like eating rubber ..🤢. I hope this was an off night because it is too much money for food like this.

    It was a busy this evening due to a few games in downtown, but we were seated immediately upon arrival for our reservation. The dinning room was not full at the start of our meal but they must have been busy because it took a long while for our server to visit our table to get our drink order and then it was a long wait time to get the drinks at our table. Similar delays between taking our order and serving our meal. Once the food (different varieties of their stir fry dishes) arrived it was very flavorful and well cooked. The rice accompanying the stir fry dishes we ordered was a little undercooked. The food is severed family style. Signature cocktails were okay.

    We had a reservation for 6:15pm. When we showed up around 6:10pm the hostess said it was going to be at least another 20 minutes for a table. We had a play to go to (hence why we made the reservation and couldn’t be pushed back that late) so we ended up eating at the bar. A little cramped, but the service was amazing! Food was great as well. We will be back, just not on a time crunch.

    Creative cocktail menu to try something different. Liked the "Thaiphoon" with some interesting Chareau liquer in it. Food was plentiful - enough to share and get some appetizers/sides. Spice levels can be adjusted so some who like hot / some who don't can dine together happily. Very popular location just off Washington Park so advise getting there early as it gets quite busy and "energetic"

    We have become a neighborhood hot spot. Luckily, there is a multi-story parking garage across the street at Washington Park for your convenience. We are glad you tried a signature cocktail and found that our food is plentiful and shareable. If you want authentic Thai cuisine and sushi, Teak OTR is your place.     Was not impressed with the experience we had at the location in OTR. I had made reservations on Open Table and we were seated right away, but then waited for a long time for our server to come take our drink order, then another long period of time to return to take our food order and even more time once we were finished eating to get and pay the bill. We were never asked if we wanted another round of beers or if we needed more water during the entire meal and the server only asked if we had everything we needed right after the food was delivered. Everything seemed very unorganized and chaotic. The dining room was very cramped, we were 2 people sitting at a table with 4 chairs and the tables were so close together that the staff and other guests were constantly bumping into us, our table and the empty chairs at our table trying to pass by. We probably will not be back even though the food was good. I sure miss the atmosphere of the old place up on Mt. Adams.

    Food is excellent but out table was aweful . They put us next to the kitchen and bus area . Everyone coming by with dirty dishes and the wall next to us had holes in it. If that wall was pretty and they had a wall behind us to seperate it would have made all the difference

    Lots of sushi options - it was hard to decide and the rolls we ordered were good. Dim Sum was the best we have had in Cincinnati. The tilapia wok dish was also good taking a simple fish and elevating it with good flavors.

    Very good cocktails highlighted the evening. The food was all good, though not as much variety in taste as it could have had. As an example, the salmon and vegs were a little bit of "one note" as i think it is called. A very good note, no doubt. But if the vegs had a bit of a different flavor, it would have elevated the dinner.

    We booked a 6pm reservation at Teak OTR prior to a 730 show at the Music Hall. The restaurant was very busy and there really isn’t any space to stand in the check in area as a result. The restaurant was extremely hot as the afternoon sun heats up the front room immensely. This might be good in the winter but not so much in July so dress appropriately. The food is excellent and we enjoyed the Thai curry mussels and the spring rolls for appetizers. The crispy duck was delicious and tasty and the sushi was acceptable but not fabulous. Overall a good meal and efficient service as we had more enough time to make the show on time.

    We are always pleased when everything works and we send off our diners in time to get to events. We do ask that guests let us know upon making reservations that they are attending an event after dinner. It's also helpful to alert the server. So we are glad you made your show on time, enjoyed our authentic Thai cuisine, and received fine service. We wish there was more room for our guests to stand or sit while they are checking in. We're looking into possible solutions for that.

    Very tasty food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is classy but not overly formal. We were there on a Saturday, and it got a bit noisy and felt a bit crowded during peak dinner hours.

    Was looking forward to my first visit at this location but was disappointed. The food was not anything like the original Teak in Mt Adams. Service was slow even though the restaurant was relatively empty. The food was shockingly under seasoned. Appetizers (lettuce wraps, calamari and coconut shrimp) were just ok. My cousin was happy with her sushi (Baked Salmon Roll) but the portion was appetizer sized in comparison to what she’s had at other sushi restaurants. Know that what you ask for in regards to heat level may not be what you get. We ordered two different noodle dishes at level 7 and 8. Absolutely no heat in either. The only sign of spice was dried chili flakes on the top of each dish. Ordering an 8 out of 10 spice level should produce heat without having to ask for additional condiments. Even additional chili flakes and the chili oil added nothing to the dish. I told the server the dishes had no spice and if she had anything we could add. She brought chopped fresh Thai chilis. This is what the noodles should have been made with as this is the Thai flavor and heat I am accustomed to. Adding the fresh chilis to the noodle dishes gave them flavor and made them edible. Apparently they only use fresh chilis in stir fry dishes, not noodle dishes. What? and Why? Be sure to ask for fresh Thai chilis to be used in your dish if you want it to actually be spicy and have flavor.

That's why we offer extra seasoning so that you can add some more zip to your dish.     Good advice, Jen. Teak OTR is popular, especially prior to a Music Hall performace or FC Cincinnati game. Be sure to make reservations. And then sit down for amazing Thai cuisine and superior service for a memorable dining experience.

    Food was very good. Staff worked really hard to accommodate people with reservations. Unfortunately, diners ahead of us decided they didn’t want to leave due to rain. That left a lot of people waiting. We had a 5:45 reservation and were seated at 6:25. Will definitely return on a night when opera and FCC aren’t going on.

    The spring ro;;s were not hot & also tasted doughy. We had to ask for rice, that should've just come with our entrees. Waited forever to place initial drink order & they forgot my friend's
