I have been there 3 times and this time the food was not good. It felt hard from being in a refrigerator or freezer. I was bummed out!!!
A gorgeous setting, refined amenities, upscale service and TOP DOLLAR price tag, with no dress code, customer expectation or clientele requirements equals $250 tea for two surrounded by strippers, guys in sweats and ball caps and a lack luster experience overall. High tea should not mean everyone smells like marijuana!
Loud and noisy. Food has gone downhill since they took over from Mandarin Oriental. Sandwiches did not taste good, bread dry. Store bought jam. Used to have tea here every time in Vegas. But no more. Not worth the money. Would never recommend to others. Very disappointed especially for a luxury hotel.
It was very nice and relaxing with an awesome view. You get 1 pot of tea per person and enough food to fill you up. I'm definitely a sweets person but I actually liked the sandwiches more than the desserts.
Not an intimate and serene setting. View is spectacular if seated next to the window. View of the 23rd floor lobby distracts from ambiance.
Service didn’t seem as friendly perhaps the staff had a long day servicing but our table in the afternoon may have been a time of exhaustion nonetheless it’s still was a nice time with the ambiance and guests who attended. The sandwiches weren’t as tasty as prior visit. The dessert is always my favorite along with the fresh baked scones.
I recommend trying this experience once to those who want to experience a British/Hong Kong Afternoon Tea time. I felt I was getting my money's worth from the experience even though I was just wearing a shirt and jeans (although I did study etiquette regarding it).
Tea service was excellent as usual. The sandwiches and desserts are different each time I am there for tea. The window view from the tea lounge is amazing. I always try to take in tea when I am in Vegas.
Not wheelchair friendly- food is pretty, but not the best tasting even though pricey.
The bread on the tea sandwiches were stale. For the price paid I did not think it was a proper tea service. First the menus were printed on photocopy paper versus nicely presented in a folder. Second they featured quality and a nice selection of teas. You would think they would serve loose tea with your selection. Quite the contrary. There was no loose tea leaves to be found in the tea pot! Thirdly I was expecting the tea service would involve pouring the brewed tea over a tea strainer. It was poured directly into your tea cup.
Overall very disappointing. I would not recommend my friends to experience tea service at the Waldorf Astoria in Las Vegas!
This place was wonderful. It was exactly what I was looking for. Delicate pastries and sandwiches with a good selection of teas. The service was great. Our server, an Asian gal, was so incredibly sweet and moved us to a window front table. She also brought my fiancé an extra dessert for his bday. Such a fun time. Thank you!!!
Wonderful venue for a relaxing "high tea" experience.
Great experience with afternoon tea with a fantastic view.
Cute spot in Vegas, great views and good tea selection. The food could use more savoury elements, but overall, a good place to spend an afternoon.
I would add a salad and soup to tea menu
This is a nice option
The view from the 23rd floor was quite impressive. The sandwiches were distinct and flavorful. The blueberry scone with lemon curd was out of this world!
Wonderful treat for my sister and I. So very un-Vegas. We felt so special with our Wedgewood tea service and treats. Lovely.
Amid the hustle and bustle of Vegas, this is SUCH a lovely change of pace! The view is incredible, the ambiance is charming, and the food is delicious! I enjoyed the calming factor that sipping on a cup of tea from a super cute tea set brings! The seating was comfortable, the staff was accommodating, and I honestly felt more like I was at a friend’s house, than at a hotel. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy such an unforgettable experience! ❤️❤️
The view was excellent! The food was great and the service was great.
The place is excellent! The service from the hostess, server and staff is professional!
The tea is fantastic and snacks delicious!
The only negative is the room has high ceilings which amplifies louder tables. A party of 7 girls in the room made it extra loud with the laughing and fun.
Plus , they will validate valet parking at 50 percent off and add this your tea Lounge bill - convenient.
And once again - yet another restaurant that doesn’t enforce their own dress code policies. 90 percent of the patrons were dressed accordingly and then someone in a white t shirt , flip flops , baseball cap and shorts.
Money > their own polices
This time, I cannot give the Tea Lounge a great review. It was the most crowded I have ever seen. They even set up an extra table in the middle of an aisle to seat us. The small room was VERY loud and it was uncomfortable to enjoy the tea and food. Sorry but true!
The tea is a lovely idea. The view is of the strip but the office buildings directly in front are an eyesore to look at. Was able to see inside office building and it wasn’t pleasant. The carpet inside WA was completely disgusting. Needs to be replaced. Tea choices were good. Scones and sandwiches were tasty. Desserts were too sweet and tasted sore bought.
Thank you so much for making my event flawless. Everyone was just thrilled with the Afternoon Tea. I couldn't tell you my favorite part, everything was delicious, from the scones to the sweets. You also made my two guests with birthday's feel so special, we were all delighted. We are doing a sampling of all of the Afternoon Tea events in Las Vegas and I have a feeling that we started with the best. Cheers!
Beluga caviar and truffle cream cheese!!! The egg salad was just as good though. Great service and beautiful china. Monkey oolong was delicious. Though my sister had a migraine reaction to the rich desserts, but she almost always does. Great scones!
We enjoyed everything on our visit. The ambiance, the waitstaff and the view were all amazing. The food of course was my favorite, I haven’t enjoyed high tea like that since I was in London. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Vegas.
It was exactly what I wanted in a high tea time! It had a great variety of teas to choose from, the ambiance and the service was all wonderful! The best was the view! Totally recommend!
I would have to say that my experience with a friend was disappointing. As a local I had been to the Tea Lounge a few times when it was the Mandarin Oriental and enjoyed it immensely.
We had a beautiful table with a view and the ambiance was very peaceful and upscale as you would expect. We both enjoyed our tea choices immensely. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Beyond that very disappointing.
The biggest critique I have is that from the finger sandwiches to the pastries, there was not much of any substance other than the one very plain ham finger sandwich. Everything else was a shell filled with a whipped something. The cream cheese finger sandwich was just that. No cucumber or anything that made it that special elevated something, which is why of course that we choose to go to tea at a place such as the Waldorf.
My friend enjoyed the scones. I did not, and only had one, and I have had many high teas and scones over the years as I think it is truly one of life’s luxurious pleasures. Unfortunately not in this case. At the end, we did not finish the scones or pastries. I had half a whipped something pastry and gave up deciding it just wasn’t worth it.
My birthday tea party with a few of my girlsfriends, has a blast the food and tea was so good. The mad hatter tea is beet best and smells soo good.
cute and tasty!
Great service, best tea selection around. On the last point, why do so many afternoon tea salons not have appropriate afternoon teas? E.g. oolong, Darjeeling, etc.
Went to celebrate a job promo and engagement -
Perfect setting for an afternoon tea!
Food was great, ambience was great, view was AMAZING!
My only complaint is that we could’ve eaten twice as much 😂
And they did give us a small celebratory dessert!
I took my mom there to celebrate her 60th birthday and she said it was the best bday gift ever. The staff was great and they treated my mom like a queen. Thank you so much!!
The Tea Lounge at the Waldorf Astoria was excellent. My wife and I came across this in searching for something to do in Las Vegas that did not involve gambling, alcohol, or smoking. We've taken in afternoon tea in a number of places throughout the world, including London, Ireland, and New Zealand and this, surprisingly, was one of our favorites. If there is any criticism, it is that the scones and the clotted cream were not the best we've ever had, but the shortcomings there were fairly minor. The view is of the Las Vegas strip from the 23rd Floor of the Waldorf Astoria, so it was great. Even the valet who parked our car was engaging and very helpful. If you're looking to get away from the "hustle and bustle" of the "The Strip," this might be your place. We really enjoyed it....
Beautiful view, a little expensive, but I felt it was worth the price. Ask for a table by the window or you are missing out!
I have always wanted to do an English-style tea service. Being at Vegas, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was definitely not disappointed. The view was amazing, the tea selection was good, and the bites were delicious! I would definitely come back here next time we are in town.
Beautiful view of the strip, excellent service and delicious food and teas. Very nice experience, worth doing.
My family and I were very excited to try this Tea Lounge.
I was expecting it to be in a big room, but we were seated near the check in counter by the entrance. Still, I had high hope for a great hospitality and food service, after all it is Waldorf.
Despite our excitement, the service definitely could use some improvements.
I made a reservation 3 months in advance but it happened to be on the same day that there was very loud, drank customer also wanted to have a tea right next to us. She was cussing the whole time we were there which made our experience unpleasant. What disappointed me is the fact that the staff did not do anything about it. They just stood there even when they actually acknowledged my disappointment.
I expect it to be much better experience when I’m paying nearly $60 per person for tea lounge.
Food is not all that. The idea and view is great. Waitress would barely come by to see if we needed anything. They wouldn’t accommodate us when asked to add 3 more people and the whole time we sat there, there were 4 chairs next to us that stayed empty until we left. Disappointing and they could have tried harder to make it work.
We celebrated our anniversary and they took amazing care of us. We did ket then know ahead of time. The view was the best also. Great tea service and the deserts are delicious as well.
