Tavi is an Israeli restaurant serving made-to-order pita from a wood-fired oven, elaborately finished hummus plates, and small and large plates drawing from the same modern Israeli inspiration as its sister restaurant, Shaya. The name Tavi is inspired by the Hebrew word meaning “good or beloved” and that’s what Tavi aims to deliver to the Covington community. The menu will highlight staples from the Shaya menu plus an array of small plates, hummus, sandwiches, and slow-roasted meats.

My wife and I went to Tavi for our anniversary lunch. It was incredible! This was my first time eating here, but it certainly will not be my last. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! It was a perfect way to celebrate! We tried the fried chicken hummus, which was a definite winner. I had the kafta mezze bowl, which is like a sampler of many different items; it was amazing. My wife had the chicken schnitzel sandwich, which was huge and very tasty. We finished it off with a complimentary tahini chocolate mousse that was fantastic. Oh! The pita bread is homemade, hot, and so soft! It was the best pita I have ever eaten. Our server was a delight. She was knowledgeable about the menu and she made some great recommendations. Chef Besh came out to wish us a happy anniversary and to thank us for choosing them. We can't wait to go again! Be sure to make a reservation when you go and enjoy Tavi!

It was my second time there( I was visiting from OOT). Again the food was delicious, but what really made the experience exceptional was the staff-from the hostess, to the bartender, waiter and I believe the owner that came to our table to check on things. Will definitely go back.

We had an incredible afternoon visiting and dining with very good friends. Marc was exceptional as always providing outstanding service with great food, drinks, coffee, and dessert. Tavi is definitely our favorite! 🌹

Most of the food we ordered was absolutely fabulous. The small plates were amazing. All of the hummus dishes are delicious. The fried chicken hummus was the best, definitely recommend ordering it when visiting. I ordered the shrimp skewers with Moroccan couscous, and it very much left something to be desired. 4 shrimp on a skewer and a spicy tomato sauce with nothing else. The couscous was like sand. I actually thought they had forgotten to bring me something when they put my plate in front of me. Another person at the table ordered the same thing and thought the same thing that I did. A little disappointed. I would definitely not order that again. I left hungry after spending $200 on food & tip. I would definitely return but next time I would do all appetizers and small plates.

They have good vegan and gluten free options. That was very helpful. Food and atmosphere were wonderful! Service also great!
