Tavi is an Israeli restaurant serving made-to-order pita from a wood-fired oven, elaborately finished hummus plates, and small and large plates drawing from the same modern Israeli inspiration as its sister restaurant, Shaya. The name Tavi is inspired by the Hebrew word meaning “good or beloved” and that’s what Tavi aims to deliver to the Covington community. The menu will highlight staples from the Shaya menu plus an array of small plates, hummus, sandwiches, and slow-roasted meats.

    Tia was once again a great experience. Love the ambiance, the waiter was excellent and the food superb. We had plates to share with the wild mushroom hummus, the Israeli salad and the crispy chicken with rice. All were terrific! Don’t hesitate to book a table!

    Food was excellent, especially the wild mushroom hummus. Bar made very good cocktails. Service by our waiter, Mark, was outstanding; he was very attentive and friendly and took great care if us.

    Everything was great, dined on the patio. The only complaint I have was there was so many flies. I’m not sure if there is some kind of deterrent that could be used.

    My wife and I went to Tavi to celebrate our anniversary and it was great experience. The restaurant is open and can be a bit noisy but we did not find it overwhelming. The service was outstanding and that made the dinner much more enjoyable. It was our first time at Tavi and our server explained the menu and how to make the most of the smaller plate options. We enjoyed all the courses and would highly recommend Tavi as a nice retreat in Covington.

    Great food great service and nice atmosphere. Recommend it fior Mediterranean food. But go for lunch and have the brisket sandwich. Sort of their spin on a gyro.
