The potato and zucchini dish was recommended by our waiter and was not good. Zucchini was barely cooked and cheese wasn’t even melted on top... just shredded cold cheese. Owner justifies all my complaints. Wanted sea bass but they were out of it. Music was so loud we could t hear each other talk. They seemed upset and owner asked a s Ins time if we wanted dessert. Mediocre at best.
We went to Taverna Opa for my sister's bachelorette party. This experience exceeded our expectations tenfold. The ambiance was sensational with belly dancers, napkins thrown around like confetti and music that made you want to get up and dance on the tables (which we, and everyone in our vicinity, most certainly did). Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have the best night out with friends.
THE LAMB CHOP AND FRESH VEGGIES ARE GREAT. SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. WHEN IN ORLANDO DO VISIT!!!
Great evening. Good food and sangria. Lots of dancing and entertainment!
The server was GREAT!!!! The food was delicious, thank you!!
In the area, took a chance-glad we did. Great food, fun entertainment, servers super busy after our arrival. Would return if in the area in the future. If you’re looking for a quiet spot I suggest you go elsewhere! This place is noisy but fun & the food is yummy-wine is not bad either 😁
Sat at table with my husband for almost 15 minutes before a guy who wasnt even out server come ask if we wanted dri
Nks. We just asked for 2 waters at this point to finally decide to leave. Ive been here before with a group of friends and had a blast but this time it was HORRIBLE. Music was so loud we couldnt hear eachother trying to talk. We got up left, managee offeres for us to sit outside when it was cold. Would have been an option had we not already waited 15 minutes.
if you’re looking for a quiet dinner spot, this is NOT the place. This is the perfect place for a bachelorette party!
i have been to Taverna Opa 4 times now and have loved it each time! I I have recommended it to everyone I know!!! This last time there were several young greek girls there that got up and did the traditional Kalimatiano which was great for all of us Greeks who know how to do it and we joined right in!!! That made it even more fun! I love it there!!! The waiters are attentive and ours even noticed a mistake on our bill and fixed it. It would have been easy for him not to...I would not have noticed but he was honest and I sooooo appreciated that! Great staff with wonderful attitudes and great work ethic! Good job!
I went there on my birthday last Thursday, i got disappointed totally. There was a bottle cap in my water. When i said about it, they did not apologize even. I would never go there again.
Can’t say enough about this place. Food is great, service is great and the dancers are fun to watch.
Great food and service> The live entertainment dancing gets diners involved and becomes a party atmosphere. A fun place to go
Small group of 3 grabbing a quick lunch. The place was empty, but service was very slow. Ribs were good, lamb sliders were cold and salmon salad was disappointing. We came here last year for dinner and that was amazing.
I went to dinner at Taverna Opa with my Husband and preschool aged child on a Tuesday night at a normal dinner time. Imagine my SURPRISE when we realized that this is THE wildest greek restaurant We’ve ever been to. We got seated right away. We asked for a “quieter” section when I realized that they’re pumping in super loud clubbing music around the entire dinning room. They sat us at a table that is a touch quieter than the Rest, but it turned out that the noise level difference was momentary. As night went on, there was customers climbing on chairs for shots, fireworks torches carried by staff to tables, belly dancer preforming and climbing on tables, 100s of drink napkins thrown around like confetti some of which landed in our food, and to top it off- a Greek line dance going around the whole place. Ambiance wise- it’s like a Greek wedding meets frat party. Food wise- tasty fish and lamb entrees. Ordinary octopus appetizer, least tasty was the cold appetizer platter. Wine was fine. Table Service was non existent - with all the dinning room circus show, wait staff have no time to clear empty plates or refresh water glasses. Every single appetizer, dinner plate, utensils and glasses weren’t cleared until a dinning manager with ear piece walked through and saw the big mess. If you’re looking for a PARTY atmosphere- this is the place. But otherwise not really appropriate for a family dinner. We laughed off the experience because it was so outrageous!
Fun! Energetic! Delicious!
Food is wonderful! Had Lemon Artichoke Chicken and was mouthwatering!
