Taverna is a restaurant utilizing authentic Italian flavors to create memorable dishes. This restaurant is designed from the ground up to be a neighborhood bistro. Taverna is meant to be the kind of restaurant that guests can bring their family for either a casual meal or to celebrate special occasions. While the inside of the restaurant is cozy, the best place to enjoy the great food is out on the wraparound patio.Taverna is open for lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on the weekends. During lunch and dinner service, guests will find a large variety of menu items available. Pasta, soups, salads and pizza are all popular choices. Taverna is also known for their risotto, as an entire section of the menu is devoted to the "risotteria". The signature risotto topped with a simple blend of parmesan cheese and black truffle cream sauce.

This was my first time at Taverna. Parking was initially a challenge, but I called the restaurant to inform them of my late arrival due to the lack of parking. They then advised me to park in a neighboring underground garage located directly next to their restaurant, offering free two-hour validation. I sat at the bar where they serve full-service meals. The service was immediate and very attentive, and the food quality and flavor were excellent, with one small exception: the portion of my entrée was a bit small! I ordered the Seafood Risotto, which tasted fresh and fabulous, but the portion was a bit small for the price. The dessert was excellent as well. I had the Pistachio Creme Brulee, which was a unique experience from the regular Creme Brulee I usually order. Overall, I had a lovely experience at Taverna, located in the heart of downtown Austin, TX.

Absolutely delicious! We had a few cocktails, bruschetta, sausage risotto and the gnocchi and it was all delicious. Def going back soon!

jordan greated us and brought us to our table charles was our waiter...both super warm and friendly and professional...food was excellent (salmon, zucchini chips, chopped salad, risotto with shrimp mussels and calamari)....highly recommend!

Was not expecting such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely amazing! I know we were only 2 tables in an empty food hour, but still too notice and we definitely go back. Best chicken piccata I have ever had
