Our server Louis was great! The staff was very accommodating. The food was enjoyable and the prices typical for the neighborhood.

Marinara sauces were very salty (on meatball, bolognese, lobster diavolo). Meatball was moist, bolognese could have had a little more meat, pasta texture was excellent, lobster pasta was way too spicy (even the mild version) and I don't even understand the value in lobster with a strong (tomato) sauce as it completely drowns out the taste of the lobster. The drinks were generally blah except for the Tavern jalapeño marg. They lacked the complexity the additional ingredients could have given them (e.g., the Corpse Reviver 2 tasted like a lemony gimlet)gin and lemon juice), the Hog Heaven tasted like whiskey mixed with red wine - yes, those were ingredients but they tasted like those were the only two).

We take our guest(s)feedback to heart and all this information has been relayed back to our culinary as well as bar team. All of our pastas are made fresh and the hope is that whichever sauces they are paired with, the accompaniment is just as delicious. So, we are truly are sorry you were not able to enjoy the bolognaise or the lobster Diavola. We noted a special birthday 25th birthday lunch in our reservation. No acknowledgement. One of our group chipped a tooth on something random in the chopped salad, needing dental work. There is only one pasta dish on the lunch menu - seafood. The nostalgic macaroni and cheese and potato dishes are gone. $26 for four shrimp - delicious. Our four entree's were adequate but we all agreed we should have gone somewhere else for a special lunch because we felt like we dined in a mid-range hotel lobby unfortunately. It was ok.

While our lunch menu only lists one pasta dish we do offer several on our dinner menu. Chef is happy to make those for lunch upon request :) The potato dish you mention is something that we are considering bringing back with the colder months in the future. Excellent restaurant! I had the Shrimp Pappardelle which was outstanding! Our server was excellent! I would definitely go back here again!
