   Had great time at Rush on Tavern for Mother's Day. Suggestions made by Ansel were great for drinks and food. Had the branzino which was excellent. Only issue was the kitchen was a bit slow and main course took awhile to come out. However, server and management apologized.

   It was very loud. No ambience really in the area where we were seated. Nice waiter but somewhat pushy. Food was good but not worth what we paid for it.

   Hello Cari, We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your experience was not up to par. We truly do strive to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for all our guests, and we're sorry if you felt the noise levels were too high and not conducive to a pleasant dining experience. We do have 3 dining areas between up and downstairs. So, depending on where in the restaurant you're seated, the "noise" levels will vary. We're glad you enjoyed our food, but also understand that value is important. If you can find the time, it would be beneficial for us to know what items you felt were not of value so may perhaps adjust the dishes.    Another wonderful meal was had at Tavern on Rush ! The service is great from the time you walk in the door until you leave. There were 4 in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the rib-eye, as that is my favorite, and the flavor of the steaks here are just so good! Done to perfection. The sides are fantastic, I especially recommend trying the brussel sprouts - done like no other place I've ever had, and so delicious. Drinks were great, even my mocktail! Our server took great care of us, and always nice when Benny stops by the table to see how everything is! We stayed after, at the small bar on the 2nd floor (much quieter up here!) for some more drinks and conversation. This is one of my favorite spots in all Chicago! Can't wait to come back.

   The Dover sole was cooked perfectly, and our server, Noel, was awesome! We are so happy to have Tavern on Rush back in the neighborhood!

   It was quite expensive but everything we had was very tasty and the service was great! I put in the note when I made the reservation that it was our anniversary and our server (I forget his name) went above and beyond to make sure we had a special time. I was very impressed that he read about us beforehand and knew we were celebrating. The burrata was awesome! I had the pork shank which was yummy and my husband liked his fish. It was loud but I’m also sensitive to noise levels.

   Love the new location! Welcome back Tavern. Dinner was wonderful and so was the staff. A beautiful ambiance overall. Major credit to Lisa our server for the night made it a memorable and personable experience overall.

    We enjoyed celebrating a special occasion at Tavern on Rush on a recent Saturday night. The re-opening on Rush Street was worth waiting for. The 2 level space is beautifully designed, with various seating areas according to your preferences of wanting to be at the windows or bar at ground level to catch all the action along Rush Street, or upstairs in the spacious main dining room and the adjoining smaller, less energetic room. Our server, Jason, was exceptional. He was attentive, very personable, never without a smile. Having ice water refilled constantly is a detail often overlooked elsewhere but not at Tavern. Kitchen service is timed perfectly not to feel rushed nor waiting endlessly for the entrees. We started with the special app of grilled octopus which was deliciously seasoned with a wedge of lemon alongside for a light drizzle. My partner had the sirloin strip steak, ordered medium rare and served exactly that way; I can never refuse grilled salmon especially when over a sweet butternut squash puree and that too, was served charred rare and was moist and silky. I appreciate another reviewer mentioning the grilled Mexican street corn as a side and it was so delicious we fought for the last spoonful. A massive slice of birthday cake, sprinkles and all, served with a candle was the perfect ending. A high energy vibe does mean higher noise level which was not a concern for 2 of us sitting across from each other. Overall a wonderful evening that we look forward to repeating many times in the coming summer months, especially with the outdoor seating.
