Tavern House is the creation of restaurateurs David Wilhelm and Gregg Solomon who have developed numerous Orange County restaurants over the past 25 years, including Kachina, Bistro 201, Barbacoa, Chat Noir, Diva, Sorrento Grille and French 75. The menu reflects a collection of Chef Wilhelm's popular signature seafood and comfort food dishes. A large centrally located bar drives a vibrant night time scene in what is arguably one of the best view locations in Newport Harbor. Tavern House has a beautiful 50 seat private room for banquets with full views of the harbor and a warm central fireplace.

My husband has wanted me to try the Tavern, and he decided Father's Day was a good time. WE made a same day reservation on OpenTable for 2. The place was very busy, but the food and fun were flowing. We ordered the fried chicken meal and prime rib sandwich. The portions were more like dinner than lunch size. We also had the carrot cake. The food was delicious! Valet parking in $6. Great service and food. Semi casual but not too casual.

The Fathers aday Brunch menu left “much to he desired. “. Typical brunch and breakfast menu items were limited - only 2. The one omelet option had an excessive amount of spinach and huge chunks of mushrooms with limited egg and other ingredients; the coffee was not fresh. We have dined here once before for dinner and were impressed with the menu, food quality and service, however, with the exception of the service very good service, this brunch was disappointing.

Hi Davida, Before you criticize us, perhaps you should get your facts straight. We had, in fact, 7 of our most popular Brunch items on the menu. We served a record number 574 guests this year with the only single complaint....yours. David Wilhelm Partner

I had a wonderful evening with my sister. The meal was delicious the service was prompt and pleasant and the ambiance was great. Always a pleasure to dine at them Tavern House Bar and Kitchen!

Outstanding view, food and service! Mid level pricing for lunch but well deserved. Prime Ribb sandwich was delicious. Highly recommend if in the area! $6 valet.
