I visited the place with my wife to commemorate our anniversary. Food and service were very good. Just didn't like the small space between the tables. The noise level can be annoying at times. If the guests on the table next to you happen to speak loudly it can become difficult to have a conversation.

This is the third time we’ve been here (one lunch, two dinners), and it’s the third time that it’s taken 30+ minutes between the clearing of our first course and the serving of our second course. The restaurant was only half to maybe 3/4 full, so it was not a situation of the kitchen being overwhelmed. We were told there was a kitchen fire while we were there, which they blamed the 30+ minute wait on this time, but we knew better from our previous wait times (as an aside, kitchen fires usually happen when something is left unattended or dirty, so I’m not sure they should be telling diners that’s the reason their service was delayed, IMO...). Finally, one of the most popular dishes on the menu is fried green tomatoes, and when we went this time, we were informed they were out of them. It’s summertime (tomato season), a specialty of theirs, and a fruit... We were there for an early dinner on a weekend night. Seems like mismanagement that they’d be “out” of that dish. The place is a solid restaurant close to our home, and we’d like to continue patronizing it, but for the prices they charge, they need to start addressing some of these issues. We’ll give it one more shot before relegating it to our “no” list...

Disappointed with 'terrace'. It felt like you were sitting on the side of a house. Much less ambiance on the outside terrace than of the original Silvermine.

This historic property and the area surrounding it are beautiful. The restaurant is classy and contemporary. The food is creative and delicious. The service is spot on. This place has great atmosphere and the staff makes it a memorable experience every time.

We had lunch on the deck which had recently opened, It was a Saturday and quiet, but a beautiful day. We really enjoyed the excellent food and the beautiful setting.

Great atmosphere, bar was deafening due to a party of 10 and low wood ceiling. All food was delicious with the exception of the halibut which was very over cooked, hard and chewy. 2 in our party left the majority on our plates and were never asked about it. Servers were extremely nice but sporadic. The Valet pulled the car up to spot which had a large puddle , ran back to the front door, and the driver had to leap over the puddle to get into the car. We will be back but hope these comments are considered. The design details were impeccable but service and small details count as well.
