Cocktails and apps were delish! However main coarse was just ehh. Probably would of preferred to order a few apps vs main. Will try again cause location was beautiful and service was very helpful.
Lovely idyllic location in artfully updated antique. Food and service great. Menu a bit limited and upper tier pricing. Salad big enough to serve four!
Great for special occasion.
We have been to the Tavern 3-4 times, mainly because it's been beautifully renovated and is now a lovely setting. The food, however, has been consistently disappointing. They are charging New York prices but without the quality to match.
We love Tavern at Graybarns and have come for dinner in multiple occasions in the past year. Therefore we were very
Rustic elegant restaurant set in a beautiful area. Seasonal ingredients, lots of choices on the menu, deliciously prepared. Service was spot on.
Amazing from start to finish!
Just moved out from NYC and really missing the restaurant scene, but this was an easy addition to the “go to” list 😊
I recommend seeing for yourself. Few would be disappointed. Being new to the area and having experienced dining in major metropolitan cities, The Tavern at GreyBarns is a wonderful restaurant. The food and service are high quality and the setting is comfortable and relaxed.
One caveat to mention, we went on a Tuesday for an anniversary dinner, so there may be more of a crowd on later in the week.
Very beautiful location on the Silvermine River. Lobster Club sandwich was excellent. A wonderful experience!
The drinks are delicious but the food was lacking. The duck which is usually served crispy was wiggly. The pasta was flavorless. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Did the chef quit?
Amazing service and food. Great atmosphere
You can always count on a great meal and terrific service at GrayBarns!
Ambiance great, excellent food and drink selection.
Every dish was sensationally simple yet unique and I did not want my meal to end..... very nice staff in an elegant environment
The restaurant offers the perfect combination of ambience, top quality food and outstanding service. There is an energy here that is welcoming and the clientele is representative of a great cross section of people, adding to the dynamic of the atmosphere. The staff is attentive but never over reaching . The menu choices are excellent, clearly focusing what the kitchen does extraordinarily well. GrayBarns offers quality and the value proposition is well balanced.
Great revival of a historic property. Dinner has been fabulous since opened / so glad now serving lunch. Menu should / probably will evolve - PLEASE put some tuna on menu .. Thx!
Great ambiance, delicious food, on the pricey side.
Pleasure from beginning to end. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Beautiful interior.
Fabulous experience all around! Great food, great ambiance, great service!!! Will definitely come back!!!!
We had heard a lot about GrayBarns, so decided to dine at the restaurant with friends. We made our reservations a few weeks in advance, then had to change the time a few days prior, and GrayBarns went above and beyond to accommodate us. We arrived, and our table was ready. The restaurant is definitely a hot spot. It was loud and energetic on a Saturday night. The bar was extremely busy, with people standing 3 people deep. We were seated upstairs, and I am grateful for that, as it was much quieter than on the main level. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, and most definitely my favorite part. The food was very good, albeit pricey. And the cocktails were inventive and tasty. I would like to return on a quieter night, perhaps during the week.
As always, Chef Ben, delights with delicious food - visually as well as the taste. Fantastic flavors! The staff are wonderful - efficient and personable.
The place is beautiful. Noise level is very acceptable. The food, although good, it was just that, not memorable for the price attached. The crowd, well that night at least let’s just say, was very pretentious but typical for the area. The staff was kind although no one made note, as previously discussed when making the reservation, and forgot it was a birthday. Been there, not necessary to return.
Tavern at GrayBarns is a lovely historic location that has been artfully renovated. The menu is a bit limited and the food is good, however the ambiance and service is wonderful. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly, in addition to being generous with the wine pour and dessert, which was appreciated. We will definitely return to this romantic and unique spot!
Outstanding in every way. I cannot wait to go back!
Food is good. Accoustics have improved. Could use a little more attention to service.
I have eaten here before in the past I felt the food was not as good as it has been. Swordfish was Mushy and hamburger was average. Also they have given us bread without asking and the bread was stale. Sorry won’t be back something is happening in the kitchen and I have been here many times in the past. Not worth $$
Perfect place for a date or a night out with friends. Love everything about it ❤️
Wonderful.Huge portions. Finally open for midweek lunch.
Outstanding! The food, ambiance, drinks, people, staff all top notch.
This is now and always will be my destination dining location. Food is technique driven and so well balanced it begs to question if your actually eating in the 203. A small handful of establishments walk the walk & put so much effort into high end cuisine and service. Thank you Graybarn.
WOW! EVERYONE should go to Tavern at GrayBarns at least once - if only to admire the stunning interior of this beautiful restaurant!
Not handicapped friendly
Dining is on the second and third level. To access handicap one must park at the inn and follow the gravel path to the back door of the restaurant.
Gravel path does not accommodate wheels on a walker or wheelchair. This restaurant, is a wonderful restaurant, but not handicap accessible.
Wow is one word that sums up our time at Tavern at GrayBarns.
Had brunch here twice and enjoyed both times. Like their a la carte brunch menu. Prices are comparable to the location. Food and service are fine and what you'd expect. Valet parking only.
I have enjoyed GrayBarns on many occasions, it has always been a very pleasant experience for us.
The food, service and people were exceptional!! Highly recommended!
Great food but overpriced
Food is fine but overpriced for the middle of nowhere in Norwalk.
Dogmatic about their rules: don't change an entree, can move a cushion from one part of the empty restaurant to where you're sitting, and they demand that you valet your car (which I don't feel comfortable giving the keys to a very high horsepower car to a teenager working for free - just look on YouTube for videos of valets taking advantage).
I've tried the restaurant 3 times and have had a similar experience each time. I won't be going back
