Great food as always. Prices seem to be going up a little high. Please return the Elotes Chicken to the menu.

We eat here often before shows and usually have a good experience. This trip we were sat at a table and waited 10 minutes before anyone even came to the table. The only reason I believe we even were served then was because I was looking around irritably as servers continued to pass our table and did not acknowledge us. They rallied and got it together which is why I didn’t give a worst rating. But definitely wasn’t the service I’m accustomed to there.

Hey Sabrina, We're really sorry to hear about your recent experience at Tarrant's Downtown. Our host had an emergency and, as a result, we were left without one for part of a very busy Saturday evening. We're certain that that was the culprit of you having to wait for a server to make it over to you. It's always our goal to provide prompt service and it's disappointing to hear that we didn't meet that standard this time. We're glad to hear that you were eventually served, but we understand that it wasn't the service you were expecting. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with the service you've come to expect from us in the future. Best, Tarrant's Downtown Management Team

My girl asked for no pepper as it makes her sick. "Of course" we were told. Plate showed up with pepper on everything. My Benedict - the eggs were cooked find, but the English muffin was under toasted and the Hollandaise was runny and too much lemon. Very mediocre brunch.

Hi Patrick, We're sorry to hear that your recent brunch experience at Tarrant's Downtown didn't meet your expectations. We understand that the issue with the undercooked English muffin and runny Hollandaise were disappointing. We also acknowledge that the quality of our eggs and English muffin should be better. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly take it into account as we strive to improve our food and service. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again and provide a better dining experience. And we realize and take allergies and preferences very sorry, we are horrified that on this visit we fell so short of expectations. Thank you for allowing us to improve with your feedback. Best Regards, Tarrant's Downtown Management Team

We had a reservation at 5 o’clock, before we were going to see a play. The restaurant was fairly empty when we entered yet we were seated at a small booth directly across from the service area. Next to the service area is the bar where throughout the entire time we sat there more and more dirty glasses or stacked on top of one another. Our server never returned to fill Waters or take additional orders during our time there. He also knew we were going to see a play and were on a time schedule which he said he would adhere to. When we finally flagged him down, he apologized and ran our bill. But by that point between the cramped table, being seated across from the service station, having the dirty glasses, pile up around us, and the lack of attention from our server, the evening was one I would choose not to repeat.

Hello, We're sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. We understand the importance of timing and seating arrangements during your visit, and we apologize for any discomfort caused. We're also sorry to hear about the state of our bar area. Your feedback is invaluable and we'll certainly look into these matters. We are moving the dirty glass to inside the bar so that they can be cleaned faster and not in view. Unfortunately the old historic building and bar won't allow for an electric dishwasher and if we don't stay on it, they do pile up quickly. Thanks so much for letting us know about the tables too- we have respected them and I think you'll find it much better now. We hope you'll give us another chance to provide a better experience. Best regards, The Management Team

Over Priced, Crab Cakes Benny (Terrible). Simply just disappointed, because of the various great reviews. Also... Shrimp & Grits Should be available for Brunch!! It's Not
    Tarrant's DowntownResponded 4 days ago
I agree! We'll put shrimp and grits on the menu- you can even add a runny egg on it if you like- which is my fav. And I'm so sorry the crab Bennie wasn't to your liking on this visit, it's usually much better. We'll do better next time. Thanks for allowing us to improve with your feedback, Liz

Food was great, cocktails were amazing! We had the Rosemary and Moving Pictures. For dinner we had shrimp and grits, blackened rockfish, and health bowl. Would definitely go back!

I always order the fried green tomatoes, which are delicious and quite enough for a meal. My companions enjoyed their shrimp dishes too - and the Dreamsicle Cheesecake was lovely, deemed so as well by a native New Yorker, whose milestone we were celebrating. Very nice evening.
