Great outdoor dining and good tunes.
There were 3 people in our party. One wanted a burger. We were informed that they no longer
serve burgers in the main dining area;only in the bar area. This is a neighborhood restaurant of
which I have been a loyal customer since the day it originally opened, and now with new owners. I think this decision is short sighted and I don't want to sit in an extremely NOISY bar.
Got along without you before I met you, gonna get along without you now.
Always a good meal here. The wine list could be improved.
A perfect evening. Buck A Shuck oysters is a great way to introduce out of town friends to our favorite restaurant. Oysters were delicious., other entrees just as good as ever. Lots of great energy. A perfect spot!
Have not been here for several years but will come back soon. The food was excellent, the service attentive but not cloying, several dishes unique (the seafood risotto was unshelled and delicious), and the wine by the glass a bit more extensive than many similar Baltimore restaurants.
Went there after a college graduation. Very accommodating and excellent waitstaff. comfortable, private dining. No rush by the staff. They brought focaccia to the table upon request. We had the cream of crab and MD soups. Generous portions, loaded with crab. Brussel sprouts were a big hit. Buffalo wings were so-so. Entrees were double jumbo lump crab cakes, NY strip, grilled Bronzini, soft crab special, steak salad and "something vegan." My foodie sons loved the Bronzini, and the soft shell crab. The steak dishes were fine. The crab cakes were small but tasty. My vegan stuffed tomato was a nice vegan option although pricey for a tomato. The restaurant atmosphere contributed to a wonderful celebration. Quite pricey though. $22 for 6 regular coffees seemed high. Mixed drinks were good. I would come again for a special occasion. The only complaint was the rain made the ceramic tile one must walk across to get to the door VERY SLIPPERY, especially with older members of our party.
disappointing experience. Crab soups were not hot, service slow and unprofessional
We had the Prime Rib Monday special for $20 includes baked potato and broccoli. The prime rib was fantastic. I couldn't finish my meal. The beer prices were reasonable as well. Nice atmosphere...Easy to get to off I-695. We sat outside near the water feature. It was lovely.
We have been to Tarks many times and this time when we didn't all order drinks right away the waitress lost interest in our table.
Food was very delicious. Waiter suggested a good wine and dessert was very good.
A wonderful Mother’s Day buffet brunch. We have never seen such a beautiful and delicious selection of food. We tried to taste a little of every item and was amazed at the level of excellence in everything we tasted. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the fire-cracker salmon was out of this world. There was an air of excitement throughout the dining rooms as everyone seemed pleased to be honouring their mothers and grandmothers with such delicious food and surroundings.
No greeting or introduction from server. Never got here name. Dirt table and flatware. Unprofessional manager. The hostess was the best thing about my visit. Food was just ok.
Took my wife and daughter in law here for Mother's Day dinner. The food was great, service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Enjoyed the full experience.
Friday evening on the patio at Tark's was awesome! Great food and service, plus we saw many friends and acquaintances at this happening spot.
A very pleasant evening. The food was okay. Had the soft shelled crabs. They were fried, and tasteless. Caesar salad was very nice
Good food as always. Good service as always. Good experience.
Service was good.
Another fantastic meal at tarks. Never disappointed. Prime rib night WOW! Delicious and so affordable. Great patio seating. What more could we want!
It was great
Excellent service couldn’t save this tasteless meal.
I don’t know where to begin. Nothing had any flavor. It was so bad I had to put salt on my salad just to get some flavor out of it.
The oil & spices served with the bread was flavorless. I had to check to make sure it wasn’t water & spices.
Cardinal sin: they served a Cesar salad with iceberg lettuce. No romaine, not even a mix. The dressing had no flavor. I don’t think it had anchovies in it.
It looked like my meal had been thrown on my plate. The food wasn’t bad - just no flavor. The accompanying lemon, beurre blanc was blank.
Otherwise nice surroundings, excellent service.
Really enjoy the food. It is delicious! The service is excellent as well.
Celebrating a friend’s birthday. Food was delicious. Our waiter was sweet and attentive.
Dads 81st birthday! He had a ball!
We used to frequent this restaurant quite often under the former ownership, and really enjoyed our visits. We've been 4 times under the new management, and the menu is too "fluid". It seems like every time we go, the menu has been drastically changed. One of the things I like about going to a restaurant over and over, is the familiarity of the dishes. This has been lost. We've experienced good meals and mediocre meals - nothing great since the change. We'll probably continue to try but will definitely be previewing the menu so we're not faced with a situation where there is nothing that interests us on the menu.
What a great place to spend any night of the week. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is fantastic, and on Thursday nights there is live music outside. We had a wonderful time last night!Great music and a fun time had by all.
Pleasant place for dinner.
Outdoor seating was wonder and we had an outstanding waiter, Alex!
We accidentally came upon their prime rib night and were impressed overall with everything.
Tark’s has a good location to meet for lunch—in Greenspring Station near the entrances to #83 & #695 but in a lovely shopping center with lots of parking. Their lunch selections are quite nice, and we all loved our selections from the sea—crab lumps on fried tomatoes, salmon with avocados, and lobster roll sautéed in butter, large chunks without the ubiquitous mayonnaise most lobster rolls have which I dislike. Most selections come with a side like fries or a small salad and are reasonably priced. The only downside is that the rooms are very noisy from voices reverberating off the walls. Men’s loud voices and laughter made it very difficult to hear and converse with each other, but when we were alone after they left, it was delightful! Despite the noise, we really enjoyed our lunch!
Nice atmosphere. It was very busy on Saturday night. Food was excellent. We had beef carpaccio, which was outstanding, very interesting composition of ingredients, and we had warm bree flatbread, also delicious, for appetizers. And we had rockfish and lamb steak for main course. Both large size. Service was good, even though it was very busy we didn’t have to wait too long for our food or drinks. We’ll be coming back
I’m the one paying and my food never shows up till my wife questions the server. Then I wait for a steak knife. Had better experiences in past.
As usual Tark's was great. The salad was plentiful and delicious. The ice cream divine.
Your PORTION have IMPROVED- you’d become a little stingy so we stopped coming to your restaurant.
We started to go to the Valley Inn instead of your restaurant.
Tark's is a beautiful venue with a lovely outdoor patio, professional staff, and great food.
We had asked to be seated in the Wine Room, which had a private party there. So we accepted a suggestion to sit in a booth near the front window of the restaurant. The booth was so narrow that it was difficult to slide into the booth. The table was sticky. There were no specials available that night, Sunday. Our dinners were good, but being in this section of the restaurant was not the same upscale experience we are use to at this restaurant. In addition the rest rooms need to be re-painted and upgraded. We have always given this restaurant a 5-star recommendation. Not this evening. Would not sit in this area again on a Sunday evening.
A lovely birthday celebration. 15 if us enjoyed our lunch on their beautiful patio. The food was delicious and our server was amazing. Even with all those people he was correct with everyone’s entree. The shrimp salad was delicious and the Baltimore Club is always a big hit. A great place — a beautiful patio
Went for a late happy hour @ 730 on a Friday. Most of the crowd starting to leave. We sat in bar & it was way too loud for any type of conversation. Service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it. Ordered 4 appetizers and that was enough for 2 people. You’ve got to try the tomato & porcini ravioli. Unbelievably delicious. The sauce was creamy & smooth. I love my tuna tartar. Give this place a try but not on a Friday night.
Have eaten at Tarks for years and we have always enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.
My dinner was not at all good. I had the old Lindsey salad ( which has been renamed but no where near as good) with salmon on the top. It came out raw inside and I ask if they could just cook it slightly more. When I ordered it I specifically asked for it not to be raw on the inside. When they brought it back it was so dried out and tasteless that I couldn’t eat or swallow it ! Our waitress was nice enough to remove it from the bill without me asking.
Not going back anytime soon
Back again for another excellent meal.
