We were in Orlando on vacation and discovered the unlimited mimosas on Yelp. Our server was outstanding. We never had to ask for anything she would just bring it to our table. The flamenco dancer was beautiful!!!! We definitely return when we go back to Orlando.
Over priced and food wasn't even that exceptional. Additionally, I had SEVERAL hairs in my drink and another hair on a plate. Absolutely disgusting. Will never be coming back. If you like flamingo dancers, great dancers but extremely too loud. You will not be able to have a conversation at your table.
Awesome food and a great experience!! Will definitely go back soon
First of all my Wife an i were looking for a good Seafood Paella that doesn’t taste like a publix cardboard, unfortunately that was the case the place has a food vibe but is not worth the money we spent 100$ and neither were satisfied with the food. They tried to make it better woth a free desert but thats not the main point of a Couple looking forward to a Great meal so Skip Skip Skip
There were so many red flags, first we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Friday night. The food was bland Over priced and the server had the worse attitude!
Made a reservation for 8pm. Didnt get notified for a table until 9:49pm. With a reservation.
On valentines day we had a reservation for 8pm they ruined my date. they made us wait 2 hours to attend us. by the time they texted us was too late to eat. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. they don't have respect or consideration. Very loud and disorganized. Worst experience ever!!!!
It was Valentines day. We needed to wait to be seated for more than one hour. The noice was extremly loud. And it took very long to get to the table.
When willing to spend 140.00+tip on a special night I expect a little more. Waitress was awesome.
We were 10 people but my mom ordered cochinillo and she never received her dish. At the end of the dinner we ordered 2 octopus for her to eat something and the fish wasnt good, but they charged EVERYTHING.
Valentine’s Day. Place was a zoo and you could sense the hostess was WAY overwhelmed. 30 minutes behind for our 7pm reservation. Once seated, good service and entertainment. Food was delicious. Will definitely give it a second chance very soon.
Would not go back. Had to get our own silverware, our own napkins. Food came out at different times and some things we ordered never came out at all yet they were still on the bill.
Looking forward to returning. Made reservation and got put at a table in too tight of quarters all way in back. Then got moved outside to larger table and more room but missed the dancers on inside Overall food and service was good and hope next trip we can enjoy the dancers on inside
Best paella I have ever had
We got seated right by where they were cooking and so we watched the paella being made. Despite how busy they were the service was great. We did Tapas so we ordered as we went.
We were in town for a conference and I reserved this restaurant because it looked like something different compared to the various steak restaurants in the area. When I arrived, there was no table for us and they had to set us up outside on the sidewalk as a result. I was completely embarrassed in front of a very important supplier, my boss, and my boss' boss when a train carrying children loudly 'choo choo'd' by. Worse than that, the music, which I think was tied to the entertainment inside, was blasting over our heads outside, and conversation was impossible. My party was good natured but I will NEVER live this down and was completely embarrassed. It's my fault for stepping up to book something different. Never again.
Great ambiance with a lot of art on the walls. Painters, artists in the restaurant itself.
Besides that a real nice atmosphere among all the ppl.
Food was good as well. In short a perfect evening.
Try the octopus. It's delicious! And after watching the dancers I want to learn the Flamenco!
Don't tapas come on toothpicks? Not here. Tapa Toro has appetizers at American size and price. We had the seafood paella which was really good. Their facilities and fire give you a small sampling of the yummy caramelized goody that you scrape off the bottom of the pan. The night we were there (Wednesday), we came in at 6:30. There was just one other couple there. By the time we left, the place was packed with mostly conventioneers (that's an assumption). On the rest of the meal: the valencia oranges in the salad were delicious although I found the fennel and the dressing a slight bit wanting. The tomato bread had a fresh tomato taste, but the overall appetizer (tapas?) was a bit bland. Would I go back? Sure, if I was in the area.
Great music and dancing.
The menu lacks selections. I ordered the grilled octopus and it was a very small portion (size of 1 pinky and 1 middle finger) not worth $16. I wanted to order the Ribey ($29) was surprised it was without any sides. Sides are extra additions. Overall. I would likely not return due to lack of menu selection, and pricing vs portion is not worth it.
We liked the menu, decor and ambience pretty good, the sangrias were good and we loved the “tortilla española” (frittata). Where we felt down was with the entrees, a bit over cooked; the pork chop in the dry side and a burger asked medium came well done.
Unforgettable Daughter’s birthday! Flamenco and paella — the perfect combination!
This is my favorite restaurant in Orlando! We come to Orlando once a year, and discovered it then, and even though they moved locations, we hunted them down (just a mile a way) and had another great meal!
We have a Vegan friend in our party, and she was in heaven with all of the vegan options!! Our server was very careful to discuss options and tailor the food for her.
We also had a birthday to celebrate, and the firecracker that they stick in the dessert was awesome! Even better with the beautiful flamenco dancer who danced for her! The flamenco dancing is fun to watch as you eat, as a dancer will travel through out the restaurant almost constantly.
The food is the best part, creative, and always the perfect temperature since it is served tapas style, coming out as soon as its ready. The garlic shrimp are a perfect rich garlic flavor, the eggplant melts in your mouth, and the lamb chops were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had to get a second helping of the Broccolini because we were all fighting for the last spear. Our vegan friend also ordered and we all loved the chickpea dip, with a perfect amount of smoky flavor. They also have really yummy sangria!
Next years trip might have to include two nights at Tapa Toro!!
Sooooo good. Every single item we ordered was fantastic. Even made several items vegan for us. Highly recommend! Service was outstanding!
The octopus tapas was seasoned veey well but was overcooked took some effort to chew
It was average. The server was good, but the food wasn’t the greatest. I’ve eaten at many tapas place like Jaleo by Jose Andres. That is a great restaurant, tapa toro was just ok. Also hard to find.
Terrible paella and over priced. Tight seating, terrible greaters at door, flamingo dancers danced 5 minutes and sat by small stage on cell phones. Overall, AVOID THIS PLACE!
Very good paella and grilled meats. Decent wine selection. Average value. Dancers are excellent but music is way too loud.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the entertainment was good.
Christmas Dinner with the family while we were in FL!
Paella was amazing and my son who is a picky eater even tried something new at the servers request! We were there as a family of 6 at 830pm on Christmas Day! Our server was patient and attentive despite the busy holiday!
Food was amazing!!!
Flamenco dancer was exciting and beautiful.
All and all a wonderful experience. Thank you for making our non-traditional holiday wonderful.
This was our Christmas Dinner. From the time the waitress introduced herself she said to "bear with her" because they were overwhelmed and they took in too many reservations. As warned, service was terrible.
Food was under seasoned (steak, chicken jerez, croquetas). The chicken jerez was so dry and bland that we sent it back. The meatballs tapa was flavorful but the meatballs were dry and tough. We ordered a tapa of jamon serrano and queso manchego, but the queso arrived 15 minutes after the jamon. My dad ordered papas with chorizo, but after several requests, it finally arrived 45 minutes later but they substituted the papas for french fries. The paellas were not good either- flavors were off.
The flamenco "show" was just 1 dancer who danced only 1 song once an hour on a tiny stage that we couldn't see from our table.
At the end of the dinner, the waitress thanked us over and over again for being so cool and patient with the bad service, but automatically added 20% tip anyway. Never coming back.
My family and I go out to dinner each Christmas Eve. This year we selected Tapas Toro because they had a special for Spanish Paella all you can eat and dessert. To our surprise, the Paella was only for chicken which was fine with us as long as it was a Paella. The Paella served lacked the main Paella ingredients including the chicken and the typical taste of Paella. The dessert was supposed to be a carrot cake and it looked and tasted more like a bread pudding than a carrot cake. There were not enough Waitresses so we had to difficulties getting the attention of the Waitress for refills, especially water. Bottom line, the food tasted and looked horrible and pricey. So wish, we would have selected another place where we would have been pleased with the food and the ambiance. My entire family of 6 adults, agreed that this place is overpriced and overrated. We walked away upset and disappointed about our Christmas Eve dinner.
Excellent food, fun atmosphere, flamenco dancers make it a great experience. Located right near the SeaLife aquarium. We had a reservation on Christmas eve, and it was a full house. Our server was friendly and efficient, there when we needed her, not there when we didn't. We ordered paella (which takes 40 minutes) and 2 tapas dishes to share while waiting. It was plenty for 4 people, and we didn't have enough room for dessert. We also had a pitcher of nice red Sangria to drink. We will be back when we are in Orlando again.
We loved the atmosphere. Was the best Paella I've had. Our server Bianca was great. And even though it was a very busy night (Christmas Eve) we did not feel rushed. Will definitely retutrn whenever we visit Orlando!
Good food, environment, staff and Natalia was an excellent server. Highly recommended.
Outstanding food and service, flamenco dancers excellent,
Top to bottom, everything was amazing. A little too loud for a first date.
My girlfriend and I recently had dinner and I have to say that the service was excellent, friendly and helpful, the food was amy
