Tapa Toro Ratings and Reviews
Meh as a tapas restaurant. Service was excellent! Food was ok (and selection was quite limited). Paella was quite mediocre. Drinks were not bad. Nice ambiance.
I would say a pretty good place to be introduced to Spanish food , not really worth visiting for a person who knows Spanish food.
Wasn't blown away by this experience. Have been to this location prior so when it was a special occasion thought I'd return. The food compared to price did not match equally, small quantity vs large price. Plus the asparagus wasn't cooked enough and the melon with the salad wasn't ripe enough. We have to say our waitress Bianca was very attentive. We just had higher expectations based on prior visit so was disappointing especially with the location almost completely empty of customers you would expect top notch everything.
We arrived just before they closed, starving from a hectic day with little to eat. Our waiter was very welcoming, and attentive. My white Sangria was perfectly refreshing. Our food arrived quickly from the kitchen, beautifully prepared and very creative. The grilled asparagus was amazing, as was the portobella mushroom cap, the lamb chops and the garlic shrimp! We were even entertained by a flamenco dancer on a small stage right by our table! We never felt rushed.
The prices were very reasonable and there is even a family style option for larger parties!
Loved every single minute we were in Tapas. Our server for the night Anthony outdid himself. We were super chatty since it was a girls night out, he was patient, informative and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing night which we certainly did. Thank you Anthony for making our night that much better!!! We will definitely be coming back!
The tapas are quite good. My husband enjoyed the grilled octopus and my favorite was the manchego cheese charcuterie tray with Ibérico ham. The churrasco with the salad was nice. The drinks were moderately good and the churros delicious. Nice touch with the flamenco dancer! Service was excellent!!
We celebrated a friend's birthday/bachelorette party here this past weekend. The staff was excellent. They were very friendly, accommodating and had great customer service. Our group was pretty big and we were on a little time crunch due to Orlando Eye reservations and the staff got us out right on time. We also thoroughly enjoyed the special drink out of the glass container, the livened the party up significantly and the flamenco dancing was absolutely fabulous.
We celebrated my daughters 19th birthday here. The food was delicious, fresh, and authentic. The ambiance and decor were much like Spain, where the old world meets the new world. Our servers, Jac and Andy, were very kind, attentive and knowledgeable on the menu items; they took their time to explain things and made sure our dining experience was top notch. Alejandra, the flamenco dancer, was full of life and was beautiful in her art form. We were treated like gold. We will be coming back.
Had a vegan meal, but it came out long after everyone received their meal. Waited about 55 minutes for a stuffed mushroom cap. Stuffed to death with under washed spinach. Grit all throughout. The asparagus with lemon oil was tasty. Nothing life altering. Just...meh.
We had a great meal on new years eve with great service but the noise level was far too high! During the flamenco show it was not possible to have a conversation at all and I had to cover my ears with my hands. It was better when the show was over but still the music was unnecessarily too loud. A pity since the restaurant and staff was very nice!
We reserved the early seating for NYE celebration. The pre-set meal was terrible. Three out of five people in my party had to take a digestive to digest the meal. The other two were smarter and did not eat the food. The flamenco show was hardly a show with one dance. It was a complete disappointment and waste of money. The paella looks good though but after this experience I’m not giving this place a second chance 👎🏻
Booked reservation for 8:30p. Arrived 8:25p, told to wait extra 20m despite reservation. After waiting 10m and complaining, was seated at counter area not a table. Ordered Paella, 1 entree, and 2 appetizers immediately at 8:45p. Salmon was good but veggies stewed, apps were good. Arrived fast in 15-20m. Paella supposed to take 40m. Ordered it without chorizo. After 1hr, was told by manager it needed 8-10m more. After 1hr and 35m, found out they never made it but it was "coming out in 5m". At 10:15p, asked for check without Paella and left. They gave us a Paella to go, but seafood was undercooked and rice was not soft when arrived at home thus couldn't eat it. Manager shouldn't have lied, and should have told us the truth. Totally ruined our Christmas dinner with my daughter and my girlfriend and her kids.
What a nice surprise Tapa Toro was! Very good food(Paella!), great entertainment and terrific service. Our server, Andy, made us feel like we were the most important guests in the restaurant. He was excellent. Also loved the Flamenco dancer. On the night we were there, a beautiful young lady performed, Castanets and all, every hour on the hour. She was so authentic, it almost felt like we were in Madrid. Or Barcelona. Highly recommended. Go...and expect to have a great night!
Fun place to eat. Pork belly was excellent, lechon dinner was also cooked well and balanced, chicken flatbread was good. Ceasar salad was dry, had to ask for dressing; fried rice pudding dry and lacked a sauce, tasted more like dry churros. Overall i would return for the entrees and entertainment.
Stumbled upon this place on a quick trip in Orlando with my husband and were pleasantly surprised with the food and service here! Everything we ordered was delicious, our server, Bianca, was great - made some excellent suggestions with food and wine that we loved. We only regret not trying the pallellla, it looked delicious! Next trip in Orlando, we will definitely be back with a pallella order!
