Tap & Vine
The food was amazing but the space was very cold and very loud, which seems to be the way so many restaurants are these days. The ceilings are high the floors are concrete and there isn't a soft surface in sight. I had a great cocktail and the soup/ grilled cheese sandwich which I really enjoyed. My husband had the steak and a glass of wine which he also really enjoyed. If it were not as noisy and a little warmer with cozier booths I would be back in a heartbeat.
This was our first time at Tap & Vine and I am highly impressed. The selection of wine and beer and crafted cocktails were out of this world. I work in the food and beverage industry so I can understand the variety, The taste profiles, and the seasonal options that's happened Vine display. We went there for my best friend's birthday and I definitely will be attending again soon.
We had the filet and the pork piccata. Both were superb. Salad was just ok, boring. We are not fans of televisions in restaurants, especially with expensive dishes, so we probably won't return unless we can sit outside. But I get the vibe they are trying to send. Not a place for a quiet evening. Looking forward to trying the other dishes soon.
First time to tap and vine exceeded expectations. It was a little noisy but settled down as the evening progressed. The food was fantastic. Good portions for the price - we had some to take home. The Brussels sprout appetizer was delicious. Great beer and wine. Very friendly staff.
Went with the wife on a date night before a show at the state theater. Perfect start to a great night. Always good food and great drinks. We do miss the Clementines coffee though
Our waitress was amazing! Ambience and food was great. We had a great time!!
Food was delicious but it’s very loud, even sitting outside.
Very happy with our second dining experience there! The Brussels sprouts appetizer is to die for! They also had my absolute favorite wine. Rombauer Chardonnay! The owner popped by our table and introduced himself. Thought that was great! We really need this type of dining in Auburn. Go out and eat!
First time and really enjoyed, we will be back. Nice location, good food and good beer along with great service
This place is awesome!!! From the food to the service, and everything in between!
One thing to critique. Fill the lemon drop martini glasses at least 2/3’s full... Less than half full is a disappointment when spending money on alcohol.
Moms night out!!
Excellent accommodations In the back room for meeting purposes. Attentive and respectful wait staff. Delicious food.
This was my second visit and both experiences have been enjoyable. Yummy food... try the brussel sprouts for sure... great service and comfortable atmosphere. I'll be back for the BigKid Grilled Cheese sandwich again!
My husband looked at the beers on tap and asked about a couple of them and the waitress quickly offered to bring him samples of the two he was interested in. I asked about a couple of the wines and once again I was offered samples. Off to a good start, much appreciated courtesy! We began with a shared beet salad and without a doubt it was one of the best beet salads either of us can remember and we've eaten them all over the country. This was delicious and I'm not exaggerating, for that reason alone worth returning for. My husband had a hearty tomato based pasta dish with sausage, it was delicious, very complex. I had a lobster pasta with peas and pea pods, lots of lobster, very tasty subtle sauce that did not overwhelm the lobster. This was not what we expected, definitely a restaurant a cut above. We thought the ambience could use some help, very plain, industrial like which didn't help the noise level. We could hear each other as we were in a booth for two and seated beside each other. We will definitely return and brings friends with us.
This a go to place to try new dishes . Love the Brussel Sprouts... staff are awesome! And the food is great. Nice selection of beer too .. awesome atmosphere! The cones around now and then to check on customers... nice touch.
Really enjoy Tap and Vine, people are super friendly and service is great
This new gem in Auburn has great food. I LOVE the roasted Brussels sprouts. It's the lemon vinaigrette that sets it apart from other roasted Brussels sprouts. On other dishes, there is a heavy salt hand at work in the kitchen. Best to ask to reduce the salt, the food would be perfect then. Took Mom, who ordered the clams. She loves clams; however, she didn't expect to find jalapeno in the broth--though it wasn't spicy, that soured her experience. I loved my entree, and highly recommend Tap & Vine.
We went for my birthday. It’s very industrial sleek in decor. Nice casual clothes sre appropriate, so it was very comfortable. The food was delicious. Nice size portions. Staff was friendly, good service. A great spot for couples or special occasions. I don’t know that this would be a family oriented restaurant. I am definitely going to go again. Even if you don’t like brussels sprouts eat the brussels sprout appetizer. It’s delicious !
Some good food options. I enjoy the drink and appetizer options more so than the entrees. Our service could have been better, however, a manager did check in on us which was appreciated.
Always have a nice time here and love the food, plenty of. Hooves for all tastes!
We like to dine early so we were lucky to get personal service by the owner, Addison. What a treat, as he steered us in some great food choices without upselling, in fact he saved us money by doing this. The food was tasty, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Service was attentive, courteous, and friendly. We can't rave enough about our experience and intend on returning soon, especially for those scrumptious brussel sprouts!
Excellent service, cooled outdoor seating and great food! (You won't believe how good the Brussel sprouts taste!)
Great patio and really fresh ingredients!
Excellent service from our server Kimmie (sp?), and great steaks cooked to perfection. They did a stellar job in accommodating my wife's allergies. Only negative was that they ran out of peppercorn sauce for my steak, and our friend's cheese sandwich and tomato soup, although delicious, was too salty. Also we brought our own special bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and they did not have a decanter for it. Overall, though, we highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back.
This was our first visit to Tap & Vine, and it most definitely won't be our last. The restaurant is centrally located in historic Auburn, so parking can be a bit of an issue on busy weekends, but with its outdoor patio, it is a prime location for people-watching and enjoying the old town setting. The interior fits the setting nicely, with a rustic-chic decor that feels relaxed and inviting.
My favorite dish was the roasted brussels sprouts, and I clearly wasn't the only one - plate after plate went by us all evening. These sprouts are roasted and then deep fried so they are extra-crispy. With a lovely lemon vinaigrette and grated parmeggiano on top, they are highly addictive. Even my husband, a sprouts-hater, loved them. I also had the salmon poke bowl and it was also delicious. The salmon was quite fresh and silky in texture, and the dish was seasoned to perfection. My husband had the lobster tagliatelle, and he raved about the dish. It had a cream sauce with large lobster chunks, sauteed leeks, and fresh peas.
Dessert (we really shouldn't have, the portions are rather large here!) was a macadamia nut cookie with cinnamon-brown sugar ice cream, and it was served hot in the cast iron mini-skillet. The cookie was delicious but that ice cream was sublime. Perfect for sharing - can't imagine eating a whole one on my own.
Service was friendly and professional, but a bit slow. The owner stopped by and was assisting the servers, which I always like to see, as it means they care.
I would definitely recommend this place! Everything was delicious. Everything was very reasonable priced including the wine!! We had a booth with another couple which made it a lot easier to hear each other. I will definitely be back!
We met old friends we had not seen in a while...We spent a lot of time getting caught up and forgetting to look at the menu...Staff was very patient, drinks arrived timely and were excellent. Food was just great! (as usual) Thanks again Tap & Vine for making our evening even more special.
It was a nice place by not great. Great Brussel sprouts, and beet salad. We shared the burger but it wasn’t very week cooked. Bun was wet, and meat was chewy like underdone chewy. Got the boysenberry cheesecake it was terrible. Sent it back. Got the “pazookie” like cookie. It was ok. Service was slow but I guess it was kind of busy. Think they didn’t have enough help. They need more variety on their menu and more help on a Saturday night. Had a fun energetic vibe and was a “cool” place to hang out. Just needs some fine tuning. I would try it again. Hoping that the menu would up its game in the entry area. Go for the apps, ambience, and alcohol.
We had Kimmy as our server. She was energetic, patient to listen to our needs, helpful and solution oriented to meet one of our family member's low salt requirement and made helpful suggestions after checking with the chef. Kimmy was a fun and attentive server. Always a pleasure to be able to chat with Addison when he walks by (that night he was covering two bussers who weren't able to work) yet Addison still made time to visit, make sure all was well at our table. My parents really enjoyed meeting him as this was their first time to Tap and Vine.
The food was very good, but when my wife ordered a drink, the machine was broken and she had to order something else. The second choice was excellent, but it took 3 tries to get the drink we didn't get off of the check. Service was slow. We were there for 1 1/2 hours. Fortunately the company was good, so we didn't mind as much!
I wish the service was a little faster and that they had more options for the main course. The brussel sprouts were delicious though.
Amazing food, amazing experience!!! I will be going back soon.
We have dined here a couple of times and it is, in a word, awesome! Thank you for an great meal, excellent service and the nice atmosphere. even the owner will drop by and say hello - thank you!
I wish the service wasn't so slow, mostly with our food coming out, then I would have rated them 5 stars. Cute place and very yummy food
Getting to know the local restaurants in downtown Auburn and thus far Tap and Vine is top of the list. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Thumbs up!
This was our first time at the restaurant. We were very pleased with the service, the food and the decor. Bar looked fun. Our waitress, Oaks, was superb. We live in Auburn, so it is easy to come back and we will.
Service was not very good. We were forgot about many times. The Brussel sprouts were pretty amazing but he rest of the meal was just average. Nice looking restaurant but service and food is lacking besides the sprouts. Will go be it a second shot.
First time there. We were there on taco Tuesday, place was hopping! Tacos were excellent, not regular tacos, special ones! The fried avocado aaa delicious. One of us got the chicken and was great too. Waitress super nice. If you want quiet this isn’t it at least on taco Tuesday. So they have other specials during the week which we will be back to try one of those ! Happy to find this place!!
Tap and Vine gets better and better each time I dine there! The Fro’zee cocktail was very refreshing, and everyone loved their entrees. The staff does not rush you, and is always pleasant. The owner often stops at tables to sincerely ask how everything is. The city of Auburn has music scheduled every Friday and Saturday evening during this summer, and being seated on the Tap and Vine patio, complete with fans and misters, allows you to enjoy a show with your dinner :-). My family is thrilled to have this new dining option in our town. Go and enjoy it for yourself 😎👍
