It was great to go back to Tap and Vine after quarantine. They have many social distancing protocols in place so we felt very comfortable - wait staff wore masks, ordering was done through a QR code on our phones (which brought up the menu - no paper/plastic menu to touch), there was a pager device on the table, there was a check in procedure with a temperature check, and there was plexi-glass dividers between tables. The menu has been changed with a few new additions. We had a lovely time and appreciate Addison and his team making this a relaxed, safe, enjoyable experience.
They have really adapted quickly to the new rules around dining out. They have the most updated way of ordering from your table using your phone and minimizing contact with staff and other patrons. Very impressive. Nice outdoor area with plenty of space. Food was great.
Loved the Avocado Tacos w/chicken. The Brussels Sprouts are out if this world! Great meal and great service.
Basic pub fare. Not high quality but fair. Fries taste out of a frozen bag of gourmet restaurant Sysco foods. Soup was very good. Salad overly coated in dressing. Burger was okay, not going to get it again. Seasame wings very good. I am sure taco night is best overall.
We moved to Auburn just a few months ago and have been here multiple times, including my birthday dinner! I never get tired of the brussels sprouts which really surprises me :) Impossible burger and salmon are some of our favorite entrees.
We will be back service was excellent. Server was very attentive.
Food was OK.
Noise level was very high.
We asked for a booth several times, was told they were reserved, but we were there an hour and a half and neither booth was seated. Therefore I won't be going back...
As usual, the food and drink were excellent at T&V. If there is one thing I would change at T&V it's the awful booths with L-shaped seating. Whoever thought these were a good idea? As there were only two in my party, we were sentenced to a booth. It's an awkward arrangement for conversation and one person has to face a wall. To make it worse, the booth we were seated in had lost all of its padding and it felt like I was sitting on iron bars. We asked to be relocated and ended up in a booth at the very end with a great view of the lady's room whenever someone entered or left. Even then with the thin padding on the seat and the upright back, comfort was minimal.
A little over priced for what you got.
Great experience owner came to the table really great place.
Our waitress Kim was amazing. I loved my impossible burger a lot. My cheesecake was too mussy. Cheesecake should be firm. Our coffee was weak and bitter.
Great experience, food was amazing!
Food Portions are small and expensive.
The wait staff was inattentive.
Food was uninspiring and bland.
I didn't stay to review food. Got seated Waited 10 minutes and didn't even get a glass a water so we walked out. Will never go back, this kind of place doesn't belong in Auburn
We had dinner this past week at Tap & Vine. We tried the Arancini appetizer - very good. For a main course, we had the Jambalaya which was excellent. I always judge a Jambalaya in part by how the shrimp turns out, which in this case was perfect. We also had a Caesar salad - it was good, but not the traditional Ceasar I'd expected. Service and ambiance were both excellent. I'll definitely return.
We have loved this place since it opened. Two times now we have invited guests to join us and have been disappointed in the service. This last reservation, apparently the restaurant was short staffed. It took a bit for our server to greet us and take our drink order, it took the bar forever to make our three drinks, then it took a long time for the food to come out. I asked for a salad instead of fries, but fries were delivered, and the salad arrived after we were all done. The server did her best to make us happy. None of it was her fault. She offered a free dessert, which we did not want, so she took our delicious Brussels sprouts off our bill. So, overall, food was really good, and our server did her best in a crummy situation, but seems like overall staffing is not what it used to be. Not sure we'll be back.
Nice place. We ended up eating both lunch and dinner here. The brussel sprouts and queso are good. The Impossible burger was average and the risotto with a tomato purée was okay. Good drinks, limited wine list, nice people.
Their food and service are always excellent. One of the things that we really like is that they will personalize your salad, adding additional things you want, if you request them to do so.
All good. Our server was excellent. The food was served in a timely manner. We did not know that the restaurant closes at 8pm during the months of January and February. Good experiences.
Absolutely the best grown-up grilled cheese ever and their fried avocado street tacos are fabulous!!!
Beet salad- excellent
Burgers- pretty standard; good. Very skimpy on fries.
Impossible burger- overcooked, still good taste
Service- quite terrible; we had to get up a take glasses, and plates from another table and repeatedly ask for water. Server had too many tables so was abrupt, and runner was rude when dropping off plates. I don’t understand how service like this is tolerated amongst other patrons. I would not recommend.
It was good and we will be back. Flat Iron steak was perfectly cooked.
Food was good, the service was good and the company was great. It took a little long to get out dinner but overall I would recommend the restaurant.
Food was good but a bit overpriced. As a chef, I feel they are trying to be gourmet but with casual surroundings. Be one or the other. Casual night out should not be 25.00 for fried chicken. Burger was great, fries a bit soggy. Server never followed up for more ketchup or refill water. Did try to sell dessert. Too loud for high end, too pricey for casual. Choose....
Extremely small portions for the price point. Food came out cold. Old fashioned not made correctly, sugar was not mixed and had settled at the bottom of the glass.
We enjoyed the tomato soup and burger with fries, but the Impossible burger with vegan cheese tasted burned and was the weakest of items we tried. Also, the Brussels sprouts were over cooked, but had great flavor. Service was excellent.
Great NYE dinner. Food was really good. Service was slow to start but got better. Make it a point to at least as for drink order or get water promptly after sitting people and we would have been happier. Seats near front door are cold. Don't sit there if you are a cold person. Ambiance could have been better - there are neat little candle lights on each table but the batteries were dead in many and the christmas lighting decor went off part way through dinner and never came back on - odd.
Scored a last minute New Year’s Eve reservation as we were passing through Auburn. We were greeted by hostess was supposed to get asparagus but got carrots instead. Was excellent but wd have preferred asparagus. I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had; excellent t preparation & seasoning of meat. We were too full for dessert. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
Interesting experience. We had heard so much about Tap and Vine. Overall the experience was ok. The service, confirmed our belief that Auburn Restaurant’s does not know how to provide good service. Basic like checking in, not having to remind the server that portions of the meal had not been delivered are areas of needed improvement
The food was ok but overpriced. The desert was a total disaster. The balsamic paired with pumpkin flan type dish was a huge fail.
Great place to take a date! Service was exceptional (Amy) and the food was great.
Food was great, as always. Had the braised short rib, so tender could cut with the fork. Very tasty.
Spicy tomato soup and rich grilled cheese on sour dough. A perfect fall/winter dinner!
Great service food was just ok and chicken Marsala was not good fairly expensive
Staff really wanted to make us feel comfortable. Great food! Bought a gift cert for friends for Christmas
Menu covered most aspects of food without being too overwhelming. Wine and Beer selections were extensive.
They are known for their Brussels Sprouts appetizers--delicious!
I definitely recommend Tap & Vine, great ambiance for a date night or nice place for a crowd. TV to watch games was a plus
Great food as usual. Had the roasted brussels sprouts and the fried avocado tacos two of my favorites with a friend who never had either. The only complaint is that they didn’t get my name down as booking my reservation through Open Table but getting in touch with Open Table they “fixed” it for me.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Had a group lunch and everyone raved about the food! Great fun was had by all - love this place!
The food is very inventive. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is absolutely fantastic. Wine and beer list has something for everyone. Will definitely return!
