   This place is for the ambiance. The food is priced fairly high. Nearly nothing below $20 and portions are hardly enough for two people barely for one. And there is not a large menu to choose from. But it is well kept and designed beautifully. Best value would be for a drink and a good start to a larger night out.

   Great quick meal before heading to the Greek for a concert. Our waiter took care of us, he made sure the food came out fast and really cared about getting us to the concert on time. Beautiful food, thanks

   I came to celebrate my birthday and it was a beautiful experience. The host was really nice and worked with my party with no hesitation. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced for LA. We really enjoyed our time. We were told we weren't supposed to use a flash for our photos to avoid bothering other consumers, but they allowed us to do so because it was my birthday 🎂

    Went for my birthday last year, loved it and came and came back this year! The food and drinks are great, along with the vibe. A lot of places in LA are so focused on the vibe and serve mediocre food. This place has both. Worth the money 100%

    Waitress was great, food was great. However, bus boy first dropped sauce and food all over my mom's jacket and clothes. Then, dropped more food and sauce all over my husband's pants and shirt. He was not even apologetic. So, this put a damper to our otherwise great dinner. The waitress was apologetic. The manager approached us and credited our bill with $10 something dessert and his card to forward any dry cleaning bills, which is another inconvenience for us.

    The ambiance is romantic and is great for birthdays however the quality of the food does not match its pricing. Cocktails were presentable in a fashionable way and tasted good and were strong but not overwhelming. The music they played on the Thursday night that I had my reservation was hip hop. I don’t believe they play other music. The shrimp tasted like it came from a frozen pre made bag with no cooking required. The lobster roll was not tasteful at all it was disappointing. Usually you want a sushi roll to be savory in every bite. This was not the case. The soy sauce on the side tasted like it was from a packet. The service was great. The staff are very helpful.

    We went early for dinner. The place was beautiful!! Food was pretty good except the tempura green beans were a little undercooked and the coating was doughy. The orange chicken wasn’t as appetizing but the balance of the meal (and we ordered a number of apps and meals) were perfect. The ambiance was amazing. The noise level was good since we got there for an early. Their mocktails were delicious. Enjoyed them slightly more than the signature drink. And their “Pringles” are wow wow wow. Thanks for an enjoyable evening

    It was very disappointing 😞, the most disappointing was the waitress who started to ask if we are finished our dinner every 5 mins after 1.30 hours we started. There were a lot of dishes on the table, she started to take away our plates, I thought she might want to change them, but no 🤦‍♀️, she is taking away our plates and chopsticks and don't want to return. And when asked to return dishes, she returned only plates without chopsticks and forks. I paid $380 but next time won't return there for sure. Don't waste your time and money in such a place!!!

    I dined here on a Monday night just to have the "Tao Experience". While the food was tasty, and the people watching was entertaining, this isn't an experience I am interested in having again. The restaurant is grand and the decor is stimulating and appealing, but the food was not impressive and can be had at less expensive restaurants. Despite the lackluster food, the true standout is the poor service. From start to finish, hospitality was a let down. The hostesses were slow to get our party of two seated, and neglected to acknowledge us for quite some time, only to then hand us a pager, similar to you know, Olive Garden. That really cheapened the experience for me and was hard to overlook. Our waiter was equally inattentive, and we sat for quite some time waiting to place our orders and request new cocktails. I was under the impression that Tao was a high end restaurant, but having now dined there myself,I've come to realize that is a reach.

    This time when we went they were quite busy & there were a few hiccups but our server and the manger were awesome they came over talk to us and really went out of their way to ensure our evening was enjoyable. The lobster ravioli is my favorite and Thai desert plate was incredible we had a blast! This is one of our go tos when we have family/friends in town they never disappoint!

    I've been to Tao on both weekends and weekdays. I prefer weekdays because the noise level is really minimum so you can talk and listen to people talking to you. The food and service were amazing. Will come back for sure!

    The vibe and ambiance is cool for sure! The food is good but I’d say definitely not worth the price. Worst part was the service. Our waiter was nice but the waiting for the food was ridiculous. Overall, because of the ambiance, it’s a cool experience, but quality as a whole is not worth it more than twice.

    Our table was the absolute worse! In the way of everyone coming in and out of the kitchen. The worse spot in the corner. That table should not even be there. Waiters bumped into our chair countless times. No excuse me or sorry. Table service was not good. Food was not to expectation specially for the price. some stuff was just bad tasting. Definitely over priced. The best thing was the actual restaurant design and architecture. Besides nothing is worth coming back for. Very disappointed specially since we where celebrating a beautiful occasion.
