Food and service was great. Me and my wife love the food. We will come again when the inside is open.
Waste of money, they can’t even make fried rice right.
Went to Tao for a birthday celebration. Tao is usually one of my favorite places in LA. Gorgeous restaurant, good service, amazing food! The only critique I have is that we waited 40 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation and arrived on time. Hope it’ll be better next time!
Had a good time with my partner, it was our first time dining at Tao. The noise level was a bit too loud and couldn’t hear our waiter so good. Dining on the street wasn’t ideal, there were people coming up trying to sell items to us while we were eating and it was disturbing our peaceful night out. Food was great! Beef Mongolian was delicious and the doughnut dessert was great! Definitely will go back once everything goes back to indoor dining.
Great service. With my reservation I did not need to wait. Could use more heaters outside.
Love Asian. My daughter’s favorite. For LA I believe
We went for DineLA and it was so delicious. They took safety precautions like temperature checks and lots of sanitizing. Elizabeth was so sweet and friendly! Overall, we can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.
Awesome clean service the host was great even sat my parties close to each due to social distancing for covid. The waiter had great customer service.
Overall food was great , server wasn’t attentive enough.
We got overcharged for item we never ordered. When they were supposed to fix the bill they didn't void the error and i risk being charged twice. Appetizer good but main dish just full of sauce pepper and over spicy. Desert way too sweet. Overall disappointing.
Michael was a great!
The restaurant is nice the food was delish and the drinks where tasty. Would go to this restaurant again.
Overall experience was fine .. they just had us waiting forever and took people before us (they arrived after us). It was loud outside but still a nice environment.
Had a great time. The service was great. Outdoor seating for everyone now. The salmon was delicious.
I had such a great time! Food was immaculate! He had a great time--too bad I found out the next day he's been cheating on me. I wish I could get a refund lol BUT OVERALL--10/10 place, 0/10 date.
This was my first time coming to TAO I’ve heard a lot of great things about the place and I’m from DC so Since I was in Cali it was a must I finally checked them out and I was beyond impressed!! Everything was Perfect I had lobster fried rice with the glazed salmon and salmon Avocado sushi rolls . I will add to those traveling due to covid seating is fully outside and LA weather can be a little cool so bring a jacket . I will add that they do have outside heaters to accommodate which was even better!
They say someone at our table other than our party
Ruined a business meeting
Birthday dinner but the server forgot to send the birthday fortune cookie for the celebration.
It was good overall. We got places at a table that didn’t have a heat lamp so it was chilly for the first 15 minutes of our dinner. After asking for a heat lamp the staff jumped right on it which we very much appreciated.
My 31st birthday.
Worst experience ever. Rude host and security guards, sitting on the street next to parking meters, greasy and saucy food, overpriced- nothing to justify $900 bill for party of 5 (with order of only one round of drinks).
The server never seemed to be around when we needed him. the support staff was A1
Due to COVID we were sitting outside. Everything was nice ambiance was good. Food was excellent. Restroom was inside the dream hotel. Valet parking available.
Every visit to this restaurant has been a “10”, except this time. Even though we had to dine outside that was a “10”. The issue this time was very poor service. Normally they are checking on you, cleaning or removing used dishes constantly. They are one of my top two restaurants that exceeds expectations for this level of dining. To me it appeared that the quantity of staff on hand was sufficient, but they lacked on seeing how we were doing and left our plates there and waited a long time for the check. Still my favorite place to go in LA.
Portions are amazing
Try their tequila and yellow red bull drink
My wife and I had a good time. The new outside experience was enjoyable and well put together. The lights and music turned the sidewalk into a great patio dinner. All COVID-19 precautions were in place. Our service was fast, considerate, and professional. Hats off to the chef..
The hostess, security and waitress were very friendly
Tao LA definitely isn't the same since COVID, but they've made due with their new "patio" dining experience. Not thrilled that the restroom is next door at Dream and its only 1 person allowed in the bathroom at a time. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
Tao have created a new outdoor dining space to allow them to reopen. The tables are very well laid out, music and lighting are on point, and as is always the case at Tao, the food and service were nothing short of superb. The interior at the restaurant is so dramatic, I was worried that the experience would not translate to outdoor dining, but it did.
Second time having dinner and they didn't disappoint. The outdoor seating was wonderful.
Please dress the part when you come here. The Gucci shirts are out.
Love the inside, but the outdoor dining was a nice change. Felt like NYC
Great experience outside! Very private not too noisy.
Nice place but average food and service.
Gave us a tiny table and stuffed the table with big plates making it impossible to enjoy your meal. When I presented the issue, I had to bring it up to upper management before my needs were met. Also I asked 4 times to fix my moving table, before they fixed it. Service has gone down, and it’s sad that they blame covid for poor service. I usually enjoy this place a lot. This time I was very disappointed.
Food, drinks and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be coming back.
Delicious food. The staff was very accommodating. Would highly recommend.
Fist time coming to TAO post COVID & they made it feel safe yet as normal as possible. Great safety and table spacing. Service and food were on par with the high levels we’ve come to expect at TAO. It’s pricey but worth it for the experience.
