The ambience was lively and buzzy, the service was slow but very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, spiced well, and clearly freshly cooked (the reason for the delayed service) Tandoori Knights is back on form, and I would happily go back there soon.

Tandoori Knights in Shirley remains an under-the-radar delight for in-the-know South London curry connoisseurs. Where starters are concerned, the puris are de rigueur, comfortably outshining the better-known menu options; and when it comes to mains, the handis are just as highly recommended - the zameen handi, an earthy bean mixed bean curry, was a particular highlight on this visit. Service is friendly and informative, prices are reasonable -even if it's out of your way, it's well worth a trip.

Tandoori Knights 576 Wickham Road, Shirley, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 8DN Tandoori Knights is a low-key, small place but the food is very good. It's spicy without being overpowering and the portion sizes are good, if a little small. The service is really friendly and efficient, and the place is cosy without being claustrophobic. One small complaint is that the restaurent is not authentic and could be the venue for several places, like a pizzeria. Overall, I recommend this hidden gem.

Tandoori Knights is only small but the service is fantastic at this restaurant. The food tastes amazing too without being overwhelmingly spicy. Really great flavours.
