Absolutely OUTSTANDING! We were impressed by the innovative menu and delicious food. Creative, fun, and absolutely on point. Amazing service, too, which is hard to pull off after only being open 2 1/2 weeks! Personal attention from Dane, our server, the bar manager, the owner, AND the chef also made it an exceptional experience. Tamasha is our new favorite!

My experience at Tamasha Modern Indian was beyond my expectations. As my wife and I stepped in, warm smiles and courteous service from the hosts set the tone for an exceptional evening. The interior, with its captivating decor, featured warm dark finishes, and golden decorations. The dark brown, black, and gold colors, complemented by dark jade seating and a marbled bar area, exuded warm decadence, immersing us in an enchanting atmosphere. Tamasha’s moderate size strikes a perfect balance. This enables efficiency with staff while fostering a quieter, mellow ambiance for customers. This reflects the owners’ commitment to both customer experience and staff well-being. Once seated, we encountered Lawrence, an exceptional server who went above and beyond, providing insightful drink pairings and answering our questions with sincerity and joviality. Mike also ensured our satisfaction and engaged us in delightful conversations. Now onto the culinary journey. Tamasha not only offers the best Indian cuisine but stands out as some of the finest overall. Starting with the Crunchy Kale Chaat. This featured a generous amount of seasoned kale clusters with yogurt foam creating a flavor-filled journey. The Kerala Pork Belly followed, offering tender pork, tangy pickled vegetables, and mouthwatering chili sauce in a soft, chewy bao bun, delivering a joyous experience. Moving to the main courses, the Red Snapper impressed my wife with its tenderness and creamy curry sauce. My choice, the Biryani, featured perfectly seasoned bone-in chicken atop aromatic basmati rice with savory yogurt and roti, creating a festival for my taste buds. The evening concluded with the North Meets South palate cleanser, a mysterious yet delightful adventure of honeycomb-like crispy cake, gelatin cubes, and sweet cream. Fantastic! Tamasha’s owners and staff should really take pride in their achievement here. It is very apparent a lot of heart went into the development of this restaurant.

The food was great. The dishes were unique and were not overwhelmingly spicy. Our cocktails were lighter than I expected but still tasted great. Presentation of the food was interesting too. Definitely worth a try however I wish the items were not this pricy!

This was outstanding from start to finish. The aesthetic is absolutely stunning-the restaurant itself is a work of art. The owner was there greeting guests and she was lovely and gracious, and our server was both personable and knowledgeable. But the food - this is what Raleigh has been needing! We had the garlic naan with Daal-el-Tamasha, Mushroom Paradise and Butter Chicken and everything was absolutely phenomenal. The food was beautiful and it felt like a high-end Michelin-star restaurant, from the flavor to the presentation. Absolutely outstanding!

The restaurant’s ambiance is stunning, and the food’s taste and quality were superb. However, we were taken aback by the portion sizes; for instance, ordering naan only yields one piece, and the pork belly bao comes with one bun but two servings. Nevertheless, the overall dining experience was delicious.

Phenomenol restaurant- we had about a 40 minute wait for our reservation but they handled it very kindly and we had the best dinner ever. I recommend the butter chicken as my personal fave but my friend had the red snapper and that was also amazing. looking forward to returning next week service was phenomenal and truly a beautiful new spot!

What a wonderful (and so needed) addition to Raleigh’s culinary scene. The food was as equally delicious as it was presented. Coming from New York City and traveling around the world… my husband and I agreed this was our favorite Indian restaurant we have dined at thus far. We look forward to coming back with family and friends.

The elevated dining experience I enjoyed at Tamasha would make Floyd Cardoz (the GOAT of modern Indian cuisine) and Danny Meyer (the GOAT of enlightened hospitality) extremely proud. Attention is paid to every detail. The cocktails, food and decor will leave a lasting impression that will haunt you in a delightful way. It’s a feast for the eyes and soul. This is easily the best restaurant in the Triangle. I cannot wait to go back to try more items on the menu. Congratulations to the team at Tamasha!

This restaurant has great potential to be the best Indian restaurant in the area if not North Carolina. However it falls short on the food experience. The portions are small, prices are over the roof, food in general is mediocre. Drink cocktail was presented beautifully but I've had better cocktails at that price point. However, 5 stars for ambience and service. Overall left disappointed with the food. Wouldn't recommend nor will visit again. The prices don't justify the experience.

Ambiance: A+ loved the vibes Service: A Drinks: B+ Food - presentation: A+ Food - flavor: B- Value - B- Overall - B Really wanted to like, the food looked great, it but for the price ($$$), there just wasn’t enough flavor for an INDIAN restaurant. No heat in anything. I’d go back later maybe they need to work the kinks out but we weren’t impressed. Esp when the chef has come from multiple Michelin restaurants. Go to Viceroy in Durham for your upper end Indian needs.

Was so excited to try this new restaurant. Both of us love Indian food and are adventurous eaters. The food was quite pricey and underwhelming at best. By far the best thing we had was the olive naan with a lentil dip. The butter chicken was fine, but didn’t have a ton of flavor. We both had hoped we would see more vegetarian options on the menu, but the options were quite limited. We are big fans of Azitra and would head there next time we want Indian.

The Indian flavors were perfect. Refined, elegant, subtle, and multi-layered. We ordered 8-9 dishes and we only had one that made us unhappy (Scallop Ceviche- it was just out of place at Tamasha). Drinks were also ok, nothing memorable. Everything else was phenomenal. The Kulcha, the lamb shank, the butter chicken, the bao, the biryani, and the desserts (tamarind sorbet and North meets South) were perfect. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu. The overall experience was great from setting to service. The staff is attentive without being overbearing and mindful of what the customers would want or what they would like. A great experience overall.

I'm all about a good Indian take-out...this is NONE of that. Tamasha is doing for Indian what Brewery Bhavana did for dim sum. Classic cocktails with an inventive Indian twist, beautiful food with perfect flavor balance and attentive service. Mushroom Paradise blew our minds. All the foodies are going to be talking about this restaurant! 10/10!

We spent our Galentine’s Day dinner at Tamasha and really loved it! Beautiful place and very friendly staff. They are still working out some tweaks since they just opened but it wasn’t anything serious. The chaat was a fun shareable item for the table, enough for 4. We each enjoyed our entrees. The only complaint is the prices on a lot of the items narrowed our choices. We also forwent cocktails as the average one was $20. Be prepared to spend money, but it’s a great special occasion location!

This was a great dining experience. Service was superior and the food was excellent. Raleigh is such a great hub for Indian food, and this restaurant just takes it to the next level with unexpected flavor profiles and ingredients you don't see every day. I would advise against expecting a traditional Americanized Indian restaurant experience and go in with an open mind. The food was not very spicy at all but still had tons of flavor and texture, cooked to perfection. The vegetarian options were plentiful and the cocktails were fantastic. I will be back!

10 out of 10! - but let’s break that down! Greeting was fantastic. Decor was everything the Instagram photos boated of. There was even selfie photo option walls in the dining area and one in the bathroom. The hosts were courteous and thoughtful and my server’s knowledge of the menu added the special touch I needed. Drinks that smoked at they arrived… sauce that had a smoky goodness, a visit from the owner at our table! What a perfect way to kick off Valentines!

While the ambiance and service were good, the lack of flavor in the food was surprising for an Indian restaurant. We were looking for punchy Indian spice flavors and were disappointed. Cocktails were fine, but I would skip them if I ever went again. The prices are high for the portions, you’re really paying for the location and ambiance. Also, at this price point, I would expect a higher, fine dining level of service. I did have to ask for new sharing plates and flatware and there was no wipe down of the table in between courses. Small things, but would have made a difference in the value of the experience. Overall, I’m happy I tried it, but will stick with Cheeni for my Indian fix!

We came on opening night. There was a fun energy in the restaurant. The food was top-notch! The service was great. We had Lawrence who offered excellent recommendations. The owners were very nice and made their way to every table at some point to quickly chat with their guests which I thought was nice. I had an excellent cocktail. My wife had a mocktail that was lacking any flavor - but we find that most restaurant mocktails are flavorless. Tamasha is a great addition to North Hills and a fun date night spot when you want to be boujie.

Go for the North Meets South dessert. The service was impeccable. The decor is a bit overdone with mixed design messages—plastic plants on the walls and gold gold gold mobiles, lighting, arches. The bar is attractive. Faux stone tables, a faux stone mural. A lot of mixed messages. I did like the green velvet booths. The kitchen is busy with doors opening and closing at both ends of the bar constantly, The staff service area is in the path to the restrooms and they are busy around the guests seated by the trail. It's VERY pricey for what it is. There is a world-wise vibe with a diverse and all VERY friendly staff. The food was tasty enough, but not special served in bowls without much attention to design plating. EXCEPT for the desert. Will I return? Maybe for the friendliness and the dessert.

Not only is Tamasha some of the best Indian food I have had in my life, but the interior is absolutely gorgeous and their cocktail program is fantastic!
