Cibo molto molto buono e ristorante bellissimo, da tornarci
Lovely food. Portions were fairly small, so staff should probably set expectations as we discussed this before ordering. Would definitely go back!
Myself and a colleague both went for the tasting menu. The starters were excellent which made the disappointment of the main course sting all the more. The main seemed to consist of a large number of side dishes, but with a Biryani as the central focus. Which as a rice based (and pastry topped) dish can also feel like another side. It was really disappointing. Service was good, and lots of other people seemed to order nice looking dishes, but for a tasting menu it was a real let down.
Food was deffo on point service was very nice perfect for my last min booking
Good lunch food was very good and high quality.wine list and cocktails good choice even if a little pricy
6th time here! Good service and good food - good drinks list
I went for a birthday meal! Lovely place to eat so welcoming and the food was incredible:)
Amazing food, great atmosphere and fantastic service
Wonderful evening, great place to try quality, authentic Indian food.
Food very good
One major issue - I ordered a Gin and Tonic. Got a dip and told the waitress I don’t feel any alcohol
Asked her to bring me another shot of Gin so I could add it but she insisted on taking the glass to fill
It in the bar.
Once again almost no feeling of alcohol.
Gives me a bad feeling regarding the bar policies- do they really serve alcohol? Why not bring the shot to the table and let the customer add it to the drink ?
For me - unacceptable behavior that will preclude me from returning despite the good food.
BTW heard a similar argument at a nearby table regarding Coca Cola
Service was slow. Did not keep water glasses full. Food was excellent. I would definitely go back.
An excellent, solid quality place. The food was delightful, the staff pleasant. The final check was also less than I expected, especially given the first-rate quality, which is always a nice bonus.
very relaxed atmosphere and excellent service the staff were very attentive the food was delicious
we had a very pleasurable evening and will definitely dine there again
I’ve had positive experiences here before, but this weekend I brought two friends with me, one of whom has a gluten allergy. Turns out the menu is extremely unfriendly to dietary restrictions and no one really seemed to care or offer any help to my friend. Very disappointing after a few good meals here.
For the price I had higher expectations, chicken dishes were over cooked and under spiced. Best thing we had was the mango avocado salad, keema pav and the garlic naan. Won’t be going back in a hurry.
One of the best Indian food we ever had!
Butter chicken, garlic naan and lobster fry are must try !
Came here for Xmas Eve dinner and really enjoyed it. The owner and waitstaff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was very good, and we enjoyed the drinks and wine as well. The restaurant has a comfortable homey feel to it, and all the staff seem to really care. Recommended.
Food at Tamarind was sensational, only criticism is with the service, pushy for us to order at times and upselling to make us over order. Bit pricey but the food is so good, it is worth it. Decor in the restaurant is great.
Good restaurant. Menu not extensive but some good dishes. Big prices with small portions.Drinks menu varied but expensive. A single measure of sprit £9.In comparison a measure of sprit in 5 star hotel is cheaper. The service, waiter not knowledgeable about the type of sprits served.
I would say it’s fine to go to this restaurant on a special occasion
Very very expensive. Not a large choice of dishes. And sorry but for £19 for a butter chicken dish, that needs to be served with breast chicken not cheaper rubbery thigh meat. The place has gone downhill since it was a street food venue a few years ago. Also our waitress was quite grumpy. Not good.
Overall, the ambience was great and cozy. Food was yummy, but biryani has disappointed us as the rice was mushy and very sticky.
Staff amazing , food outstanding
We booked table for 14.30 and when we got there was told that the kitchen was closing and hurry up we were told that all the food would come at once including starters we said that we would leave and that that changed their minds it was all a bit rushed we would not go back
This place is not a patch on the Tamarind in Mayfair of which is still outstanding
This was my first time eating at Tamarind and what a amazing experience it was from the moment you walked in the door until the moment you left. They couldn't do enough for you the food and drink where out of this world I have never tasted food like it. It was our Wedding Anniversary weekend and they bought us out a little cake at the ending with Happy Anniversary on it, it was just lovely.
I would highly recommend going here.
Super nice restaurant !! Food is delicious and atmosphere are great too. I would very much to try it again next time.
I loved the place and the good! Service was amazing as well!
Enjoyable food and atmosphere. Waited too long for a table given that we had booked in advance
Delicious food. Service excellent, couldn’t be more accommodating.
Food was absolutely delicious!! Nothing was too spicy to the point where you can’t actually taste the dish, every spicy element added to the flavour of the plate. Service was attentive and cosy ambiance. Would recommend!
Absolutely fabulous as always
Really lovely food, nicely presented and lovely service
the restaurant looks great. We ordered the papdi chaat which was full of flavour, but after that it went down hill. The drinks were tasteless as were the mains. Lacked flavour, not worth the price at all. The staff were friendly and gave us a small slice of birthday cake to celebrate our occasion. I would not recommend this restaurant if your a real foodie.
It was our first time at Tamarind Kitchen and it was excellent! The mango avocado salad was exceptional and the lamb kebabs were the best I've had in a long time! Defo going back...
Excellent food and great ambiance, will go again in the future.
We really enjoyed our visit here. The food was outstanding; we chose the set lunch menu which was delicious and great value.
I think the service could be improved slightly, it was very quiet when we went as we had an early lunch as we had a show booked, but we had to ask for extra drinks. Background music could be a little louder too, but that’s just being fussy.
I would definitely visit again.
Great pre-theatre menu.
All dishes were superb, the lamb was excellent. I will be returning!
High quality, flavourful food.
Extra concern for allergies and cross contamination.
Very good value.
Good food good attentive service
We will go back again!
