Tallwood was created from the love of flavoursome food, sharing good times with friends and family and having a sneaky drink or two. Tallwood is a comfortable and relaxed dining experience where you get to share great food, and we get to bring to life our belief in sustainable practices and community mindfulness. The south coast has an abundance of amazing produce and strong harmonious relationships with local farmers ensures we keep the distance from paddock to plate to a minimum. My team and I work in partnership with our local suppliers and this is reflected in our seasonally changing menu. Our food allows you to sample a little of what the south coast has to offer. Ate there with our family for an anniversary dinner at the time of 'social distancing'. No doubt the vibe of the place was impacted by that however in general we thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the food was delicious - though portion sizing (other than the gnocchi) was not unduly generous. overall a nice ambiance and pleasant night out.

We were very disappointed with the selection from the menu and the amount of food that was served for the amount that we paid. It was a two course set menu @ $60 per head. My partner and I both ordered the chicken and got two small pieces of chicken with some sauce and kale with a complimentary (lettuce) salad. The desert was very disappointing as well and we both walked away still hungry!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Food was delicious but service was slow. However, they were extremely pleasant and explained they were down a waiter. Would definitely eat at Tallwoods again.

We always love Monday night as the chef cooks a three course meal and everyone eats it. It is delightful to have no idea what is coming or what country it comes from and it is ALWAYS delicious. If there are fours instead of fives it is only because - in five Monday night visits - two desserts have been less interesting than other courses.

Great food, too expensive though...tables too tightly packed in as well. Very knowledgeable staff for matching wines...food and staff didn’t suit the cafe style restaurant.
