Had a booking, turned up and the restaurant was closed. Ruined our afternoon, if you weren’t open, why would you have your booking system open? Careless

We were very excited to have a Friday night booking here, only to find out that it's not even open until May. We also tried to call the restaurant and message on instagram, and did not receive a response. If you are not open until May please update this accordingly on Open Table, otherwise others will keep experiencing the same disapointment as us. Many thanks

Such a shame that the experience was so bad Only saving grace was the really friendly and accommodating waitress, and the drinks on the house

Ambience was beautiful-defo a place you’d go to impress a first date, or loved ones...for drinks. The food for me was a huge let down except the dessert, which was delicious (i had the chocolate mousse). My main of the turkey was shockingly dry, bland, and unattractive to look at. The turkey looked like roast potatoes, so much so i almost called the waiter over as i thought they had mistakingly left the turkey off the plate! Im not sure if that was creatively intentional, if so unfortunately it didnt work for me. Cocktails were lovely though-especially the zombie, which arrived with abit of drama-you’ll have to get it to see what i mean. All in all a nice addition to south london in terms of putting upscale, west african fine dining on the map, but still needs some fine tuning for me to want to come back to eat. Stork restaurant in Mayfair, for example, is a restaurant of similar concept, but gets full marks for all which talking drum is missing.
