The renovations this location of Tacos del Cartel made look fantastic! The restaurant is very comfortable, all seats, and having the bar area separated from the main dining area helps the experience feel cozier and more private. The new LED menus are a fantastic addition. Food and drinks are delicious, as they always were. Lots of visual fun and tasty food & drinks - highly recommend!

I loved the vibrant, edgy vibe at Tacos Del Cartel – it felt like a hidden gem tucked right in Metairie. The birria tacos were full of flavor and the brisket tacos were also satisfying. We also shared the elote and queso—both fresh and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the watermelon margarita, which was refreshing and not overly sweet. Service was upbeat and attentive without being overbearing. I’d definitely return to try more items from their menu!

I’ve been to this place before the renovation, and the food was delicious. However, this time, the food had no flavor and it was just not worthy. It was so disappointing for the price. The drinks were delicious, and the dessert was simply divine. The decorations were beautiful, and the customer service was exceptional. However, the tables were too close together, making the place feel crowded and the music was too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. We felt like we were screaming to talk to each other even though we were right in front of one another. Not really sure if we would try it again.
