The best shrimp & grits I’ve ever had. The food was amazing!
Everything was perfect and wonderful. The staff is excellent and attentive without being overly attentive. Food was spectacular.
Host wasn’t the friendliest however my server was amazing. Food was good except the bbq shrimp n grits. Tasted more like regular shrimp and gravy and shrimp was very salty. Crème brûlée was delicious.
Our experience was very good and we would return in the future. Loved the oysters on the half shell as well as our drum entre. Dessert was equally yummy....brownie with praline ice cream. Our server was very attentive as well.
The food and service was good.
I ate here two years ago on a girls trip to NOLA and had the best experience, so when my husband and I came for a quick weekend trip, I had to take him back. Unfortunately, it was a completely different experience. The first time around, there were crisp white tablecloths, and two servers (one drink server and one food server), and the manager came by several times to chat and check in things, and even gave us a tour and city recommendations. This time, we were largely ignored and treated kind of rudely. We were a little late for our reservation due to traffic, but still within the 15 min grace period window, and when we ran in, my husband went straight to use the restroom. The host attempted to try and stop him, and I had to explain that we had reservations. It’s the French quarter, so K totally understood that part, but it was not the kind of welcome I had previously experienced. We were brought to a table upstairs, and I immediately noticed the lack of tablecloths upstairs vs. the tablecloths downstairs. Not a huge deal, but it did kind of take away from the nicer atmosphere of the restaurant. We only had one server, who actually wasn’t a server, but the bartender. We were largely ignored for most our dinner due to how busy he was with drink orders. It took almost 2 hours to eat and leave, and that definitely wasn’t because of us. Our server/bartender was very abrupt and it was clear we were a nuisance to him. We ended up feeling kind of like the red headed stepchildren in the corner. Definitely NOT the experience I had hyped up to my husband and night and day from my last visit. I don’t know if the restaurant has changed so much because of the pandemic or poor management, but, despite how much I loved it the first time, we won’t be returning on our next visits. There are far too many other delicious places with good service nearby.
Made RSVP for a small group in advance. All my requests for Balcony table and separate checks were honored. Gumbo was great. Other food menu items could be improved. The waitstaff was hard at work but incredibly patient with us. It was a memorable experience. Missed the table side band and bottomless mimosas.
Great atmosphere and food. Service was top notch and atmosphere is wonderful.
Will definitely return! The staff was warm and welcoming, the food arrived quickly, and the environment was professional through and through.
Such a great place!! Def coming back
Love this restaurant ! I make sure to visit every time I’m in town . The best seats in the house are outside on the patio.
Old world character with excellent food and service.
Absolutely incredible!!! we had the best seat in the house on the balcony overlooking Jackson square at sunset. Delicious food and great service!
We both enjoyed the food and ambiance
Paul K. was great at suggestions and helping us enjoy ourselves.
Crab claws To die for?
This was the greatest find our just completed New Orleans excursion, and we have made many.
We had the privilege of sitting on the balcony for a late lunch. The view was fabulous, the food was better and our server was the best of the trip. The menu may look typical of New Orleans cuisine, but the food was anything but ordinary. Don't Misses include the Vegetarian Omelet (very savory) and the Tarte with rum sauce.
And as a bonus the street jazz performers on Jackson Square were excellent adding a NOLA ambience that was most unexpected.
AMAZING!! The staff is so friendly and funny! Food was incredible! Could not speak more highly of this place and can’t wait to come back:)!
Very inconsistent execution..... some dishes quite good, others sorely lacking......the gulf fish, sheepshead, was way below average..... The chicken dish was quite tasty but served in a deep bowl which we found to be bizarre..... The service crew, though friendly, was again a bit bizarre...... We will not be visiting this restaurant again...... especially for the price....... Not recommended......
Simply amazing. Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing drinks. Amazing dessert!
The food was amazing! We ordered the fried eggplant and truffle crab claw (sauce so good you’ll want to dip it in everything!) to start. Next, we tried the bbq shrimp and grits, Caesar salad, and burger (so juicy). Washed it all down with a glass of French 75 (swapped out the gin for cognac instead). The staff were great and not as crowded because we went when they first opened and got balcony seating.
We had amazing service from the moment we walked in, from the host to our server. Positive, upbeat and professional attitudes and exceptional service. Our food was flavorful, beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was clean and proper distancing was maintained. All staff wore masks and again, they were extremely helpful!! I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!
Our server was amazing!
Loved the atmosphere and the staff was awesome! Food awesome too, we all enjoyed our meals. Will definitely return.
We ate at Tableau our first night in New Orleans and the food set the bar high for the rest of the trip. The Shrimp Remoulade and Onion Soup were amazing starters and the Shrimp and Grits was outstanding, the Abita beer sauce is to die for!
Everything about Tableau is fantastic: the food, the ambiance, the location, and especially the service. This is a wonderful place for a romantic dinner, or special event with friends.
Enjoyed our lunch at Tableau. Our server was adorable and on the ball. The BBQ shrimp and grits absolutely delicious! My hubby enjoyed his gumbo and the Duck Hash & Eggs dish. Very quiet that day with only one other table seated inside. Most were on the patio.
Excellent service from the start. I loved the Eggs Tableau which were perfect! I also highly recommend the Creme Brûlée which is unique and delicious!
They cooked the fish my husband had caught on his fishing excursion. Absolutely amazing! I have gluten allergy and the chef was accommodating. Top notch greatest experience!
My mom was visiting us from out of town and we took her there for a nice meal. Great experience, nice staff, delicious food. We'll be back... and it won't take a visit from mom to get us there!
Service was impeccable as usual. However, I was a little bummed to see the menu change and my favorite wine is no longer offered there. Regardless, what I ended up ordering was delicious!! Will always be one of our favorite spots.
Went to Tableau for a birthday dinner. Our waiter Steve was wonderful and made the best suggestions -- even suggesting we split the larger portioned entrees which ended up being a perfect amount of food for us. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. The drinks were great as well. We were inside as it was too hot outside for the balcony but will be returning with better weather to eat on the balcony!
Went to celebrate my birthday and made reservations to be sure we didn’t have to wait. The ambiance was great, and Jewell-our server- was a great. My only concern was that we were placed at the last table in the room by the restrooms.
Turtle soup is amazing.
They had the table I requested on balcony for us. Made it a very special night! All the waiters were amazing
Excellent food. Attentive wait staff.
My husband loved the duck.
I tried the risotto with shrimp - it was out of this world.
Tableau was better than we had ever even hoped for. From the architecture, to the atmosphere, food to the service, all were perfect. We would recommend to anyone and plan to return as soon as we can.
Beautiful space and delicious food!
We were visiting NOLA and were looking for a nice dinner spot for our last night in town. Plus it was our anniversary. The rain had finally stopped! I looked at OpenTable (the app) and looked for walking distance, menus, and table availability. I took a shot and booked the table. We were seated on the upper deck outside looking at the Cabildo and the market going on below us. It was wonderful. The food was excellent. If you like blue crab you have to get the claws as an “appi-teaser”. They’re small but so good. I used the sauce on my entree, yummy there too. We were very pleased with our terrific server amd I’m sorry I forgot his name but the great food and area hijacked my attention. 🥰
This was out first time there! Brunch was amazing! All 4 of us were please with our meals and they carried my favorite wine- Ant Moore. Can’t wait to go back.
Overall, the experience was just okay for us and we've been several times in the past. Food just okay and we really missed the brass band.
