    We had a wonderful experience at Tableau — excellent service, and the food was delicious. I had the Maison Salad and shrimp and grits — both SO good. The shrimp and grits have slivers of roasted garlic throughout, and that made the dish really superb. My husband had the French Onion soup and lamb papardelle — he loves that soup, and pronounced this version excellent. The lamb pasta was spicy but yummy. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Tableau!

    We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Its prime location perfectly complements the friendly and attentive staff. The menu, ideal for share plates, offers a delightful array of choices, and the cocktails are both elegant and perfectly crafted. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a meal and a drink before a leisurely stroll around the French Quarter. A truly charming and inviting experience.

    This is usually my go-to place but the last few times I have been disappointed. I had a lovely seat on the outdoor balcony and the view was sensational. The andouille duck gumbo was very pedestrian. In a city with great gumbo, this is a disgrace. The escargots were so uninspired and a mess. All of that garnish was unnecessary. The chicken tableau was delicious as usual Perfectly prepared. But the potatoes were unedible. Not crispy at all and hardly any mushrooms. The service was kind but it took 17 minutes once seated to place my order. In a city where there are so many good restaurants, Tableau used to stand out but now seems to be resting on their laurels.

    Beautiful courtyard view from our seats. A nice Sunday brunch menu. We were there at a quiet time, with few patrons. Atmosphere was a bit subdued as a result. Server Anthony was very good. Reserved, but responsive to our needs.

    The food was ok. It was not the hyper that was made online. The ambience is awesome and super cute. The crab claws and the crab tartellia are both the best things we ate last night.

    You absolutely cannot beat the ambiance on the balcony on a perfect weather evening in New Orleans. It was frankly magical. The service was superb. We were there with our kids late o e evening and it was pretty empty. So the volume was great. The food was surprisingly only ok to not great for the price point. But Our kids will always remember it as a magical nighttime meal in NOLA.

    We dined early in the main room and appreciated the calm quiet after a boisterous day of walking NO. Upstairs balcony looked cool, but more noisy from the Square below. Our server was wonderful, funny, and the food was top shelf. Nice to be able to walk back to our hotel afterwards.

    The balcony was a great place to see many 2nd line Jazz parades, party goings and just loud and fun happenings. The food was hit and miss. Loved the soups, not fond of the seafood platter for the table.

    We had outdoor seating, and it was very pleasant. We loved to hear the hustle and bustle of Jackson Square. The food was very good. The price point is to be expected for the area.

    Asked for medium rare hanger steak, but came well done. They quickly took it back , but got the order wrong the second time. I supposed they tried. It wasn’t too crowded, guess you can’t get it right all the time. Don’t think I will be returning

    Food and atmosphere were fantastic -- reasonably priced, perfect portion sizes, flavors were all there. However, the service was less than stellar in that the hostess was not very friendly or warm, did not make conversation as she led us to our table, etc. Our waitress appeared friendly at first but very quickly made it feel like she was just there to do the job, not create an experience or connect with us at all. After signing the check, we were finishing our drinks and chatting and enjoying the vibrant afternoon (sitting on the balcony with the view of Jackson Sq.), and felt very rushed by her to leave. Was left feeling disappointed as one of my favorite parts of NOLA food culture is the warm and friendly service.

    Forgot two entrees, waiter could not remember the specials or answer any questions about the menu, two of our party ordered the wagu beef medium rare and it was well done. Overall a disappointing meal.

    This place was disappointing. It looks great and being a Brennan restaurant, we had higher expectations. This is our 3rd visit over several years and each time it gets worse. On this occasion, we wanted a light dinner. The duck and andouille gumbo had hardly any duck in it and was not flavorful at all. The Maison salad I ordered was supposed to have bibb and romaine lettuce in it and it was a completely spinach salad with no prior notification when it was brought out to me. The french onion soup was good, but not great. The creme brulee however, was the only item that was pleasurable. It was perfectly made and delicious. Will only have dessert if we do return again in the future.

    The outdoor courtyard is beautiful and our server was excellent. Food is overpriced though. What we paid here we paid less the next day for another great brunch that provided far more food.

    All of the food was lukewarm or cold (even the French onion soup). It wasn’t busy at all, maybe 5 tables total in the entire restaurant, but we saw our server three times (not the only server working). We have eaten here multiple times and each time we were trying to recapture how great the first was. This will be the last time we try.

    The experience was mundane, expected more for the price. Food Presentation was sub par. Apps were small but flavourful. Mains were uneventful. Ambiance was great, music and decor was great. Service was disappointing for a fine dine spot in the city. Small menu so the expectation was that the food would be great.

    Stopped in for lunch and a few drinks, sat at the bar. Food was good along with the service. Met a nice couple from Massachusetts, sat and talked with them for a bit.

    If you are looking for something in the middle of the Quarter with great food and drinks, Tableau is excellent. The location is great especially if you plan on spending some time on or near bourbon or anywhere else in the Quarter. Half of our party loved the food, the other half thought it was okay, but we all loved the drinks, ambiance and the service.

    I ordered the fish of the day amandine. The fish was supposed to be red fish. I have had fish amandine many many times in my life, and this was by far the worst I have ever had. It came to the table cold. The fish itself tasted funny and smelled bad. The plate was swimming in butter or oil. Bottom line, I wasted the cost of that meal, because I ate only the green beans on the plate which were passably prepared.  The salade maison and the chocolate dessert were good.
