Table & Tap Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant is located in Babcock Ranch, a solar powered community and overlooks the lake. It is a farm to table restaurant serving a wide variety of craft beers. They also serve wine. Exotic mushrooms with a 63 degree egg in a veal glace, andouille sausage, reubins with homemade corn beef and sauerkraut, fried green tomato BLT with pork belly were the dishes enthusiastically enjoyed by our foursome. Great view and service. Take an electric boat ride after lunch. We went at 2 p.m.and then toured some new homes. An entertaining afternoon enjoying a "green" experience.
Our first visit. Nice place with good inside/outside seating and view of lake. Limited menu but interesting with enough variety to appeal to everyone. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and the po boy fish sandwich. Both were excellent. Am not usually into fries but theirs were seasoned just right and we ate them all. Service was friendly and not hurried. Will go there again for sure.
This farm-to-table restaurant offers imaginative, well-crafted dishes at reasonable prices. We loved the pulled pork with corn pancakes, the shrimp and grits and watermelon salad. Fresh microgreens and edible flowers plus palmetto honey harvested on site add special touches that make a meal here special. Great staff and atmosphere.
Made reservation for our anniversary and asked that chef make special desert for my wife when i made reservation. Upon arrival i double checked with host about meeting the chef and asked about desert. Was told all good to go. During dinner chef came out and went to wrong couple and congratulated them, they were clueless, then desert came out and they gave that to wrong couple as well. So we watched WRONG couple eat OUR desert and meet chef. Only three couples in restraunt at this time. UNBELIEVABLE that staff could screw it up with only 3 couples in restraunt and after i introduced myself so they knew who we were. Very embarrassing and out a damper on rest of night. Will never bring anybody there for special night or event again. Must b to complicated for staff to follow thru with only 3 couples in at this time. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED IN STAFF.. As we r regulars there.. no more...
Dinner menu was online but they never have a dinner menu . Steak on ceaser salad was pre-seasoned ($14.95) but you could not get it unseasoned.... option pay for a portion of a NY Strip on top of the ceaser salad for $26! The manger was not at all helpful...a good manager could have done many things to keep us there. Besides us there were only four other patrons on a Saturday night. The waitress was very pleasant did her best to help. We left and went to a chain. The waitress was very helpful. We will NEVER return.
Awesome place for dinner and excellent views. Our problem was they were no longer doing their dinner menu. Just serving off of there lunch menu. Even though their Facebook page and website never said anything. And it still showed the old menu. When I called to make a reservation, it would have been nice to be told the menu information. So drove an hour to have the option of a couple different sandwiches. Bar service was also very slow for a non busy night. Ordered two drinks and an appetizer so it wasn't like we were just waking in then walking out. Place has amazing potential once they get the menu worked out.
We have been to this restaurant two others times close to when it first opened. Things were a little rough then, but that’s to be expected.
This visit was disappointing. We were told the chef was no longer there, so the dinner menu was a lunch menu. We ordered a delicious cheese plate appetizer with pate’, humus, carmelized onions, cheese, 4 pork rinds and 2 small slices of a baguette. This plate was $16, and we had to pay extra to get more bread so we could have one piece each!
The food was okay, but not worth the drive.
I REALLY HOPE the restaurant gets it together soon because we want Babcock Ranch to THRIVE!!
We will wait a couple months and go back for a better experience.
Eggs Benedict turned out to be Florentine: served inexplicably with extra bacon.(would have preferred small salad). Fruit was good accompaniment. Reasonable wine list, though they had run out of prosecco (good substitute offered).
Waitress friendly and knowledgeable. Agreed with us that plastic straws should not be used in a "solar city."
This was my third visit to this restaurant and the best to date. The service was efficient and the food was very good. Only disappointment was one of our party of four ordered the fried gator sandwich and was informed the restaurant was out of gator. I would return again for lunch.
Overall experience was good. Wine list is lacking, sweet wines. Wait for meal was rather long. Completely waited until after appetizer before they took our entree order. Waitress was great! Food looked good but small veggie and side portions. Too much meat and not enough healthy sides. I had Beer Can Chicken, it was dry, and I cant eat half of a chicken. Plate needed color, chicken and 2 finger potatoes just didn't do it for me. However my husbands sweet potato fries were delicious! And so was his Pork Belly burger. I will go back , for a burger and sweet potato fries. Will visit the rest of the communities experiences.
This was our 2nd visit to Table and Tap! The 1st visit was shortly after they opened and all the "kinks" were not worked out. The 2nd visit was a bit better - much better service. But, the fried green tomato sandwich was lacking - the tomato was hard. And, the burgers were average. We won't hurry back except to show the "solar concept" of the development to friends and family.
Loved the look of the restaurant. We originally requested an inside table because it was pretty hot outside; however, after being seated, it became apparent that the noise level is very high and we felt like it would be difficult to have conversation with our friends. The waitress was very nice about moving us to an outside table. Would recommend the installation of outdoor fans on the patio. The food was good; menu was pretty limited. I have gluten and dairy allergies and there were not many items that I could enjoy. I ordered a salad and a bowl of the chicken soup and both were good. It's a long drive out from Fort Myers so I'm not sure that we will return; however, we enjoyed seeing the model homes and will be interested to watch further development on Babcock Ranch.
I went to Table & Tap with 3 friends. This was my second visit to this restaurant and I recommended it to my friends as I had a positive experience on my first visit. The service this visit was poor. If I was able to rate the service zero stars, I would. Our waiter was not attentive at all and twice we had to leave our table to locate him for service. He totally forgot to bring mustard to the table, despite a request for my hamburger and never reappeared to offer any refills on our drinks. This was a Wednesday at lunch and the restaurant was not full.
Two of us ordered hamburgers. My friend ordered hers well done and it came out medium rare and had to be sent back. The waiter never checked on us after food delivery to ascertain if all was well and one of us had to leave the table to locate him.
First impressions are important and my friends were not impressed. I don't believe they will return. Management needs to review their service delivery.
We went for the special Easter Brunch buffet. Most of the buffet items were excellent. The one disappointment was that the vegetarian lasagna, although tasty, was cold.
We sat on the lakeside patio, which was very pleasant and quieter than inside--good for conversation. The service was excellent. It will be fun to make repeat visits and watch the Babcock Ranch community come into being.
Directions were incorrect and took us 40 miles away. Finally arrived for Easter brunch. Want told by our server that the meal included a mimosa but overheard other servers mention this. Nice buffet was setup inside however all of the food was cold. Florentine Benedict and lamb that I tried were both Cold. Was not informed that gratuity would be added until I signed my credit card slip. What appeared to be two young managers looked frumpy and we're seen at least two times walking to the enclosed sister area to smoke. Not once did I see either of them interact with guests.
Bad experience, maybe wait until the rest of Babcock Ranch is built out and some competition arrives before trying again.
