Outstanding food and service. Really enjoyed sharing the small plates with a group of friends.
Amazing food, friendly staff, nice beer list, mixed drinks, wine. Fit for foodies, bring an appetite. Delicious apps, entrees, and desserts.
Overall the restaurant was mediocre. The portions were overpriced and too small. We tried 5 small
plates and they were all mediocre.
We shared the salad, ribs, portebella fries, tacos & tuna poke. The salad, tuna & fries were very good. The ribs were not very flavorful.
Seating was comfortable & staff was knowledgeable.
The menu for main meals is small but delicious. It is better for shared small plates. We were really looking for dinner plates and so for us the menu was limited. The cocktail menu is interesting . Happy hour would be a good time to go for light bites and drinks.
We loved Table 79! The portobello fries and brussels sprouts were delicious! The flank steak was excellent! My husband said it was the best burger in Steamboat! We can't wait to go back!
Great first time experience. Caroline was excellent and we will be back when we visit in September ! The Pithers Family.
We love sitting at the kitchen counter, watching the chefs. The brined, roasted chicken is wonderful, as is the fish n chips appetizer. All good!
We drove 60 miles to Table 79 for our anniversary celebration. It was worth it! The menu had unique offerings. I especially liked the tomato and watermelon salad. My husband's favorite was the fried mushrooms with cheese. The wine list was good. The wait staff was attentive but did not pester.
The pork belly appetizer and the buffalo ribeye entree were outstanding!
We eat at Table 79 6-7 times per year. It was great as always!
My table of friends really liked the small plates. All were delicious. Deserts, yum!
Table 79 is one of thew two or three best restaurants in SS. The service is very good as is the food. Would encourage management to expand their menu a bit; perhaps including some daily (weekly) specials. That aside, definitely worth a visit; you'll eat well for a reasonable cost.
Fun new place in Steamboat. You can sit at the bar and watch the food being prepared.
Our server was friendly and attentive. She was very knowledgeable about the menu!! We trusted her suggestions and couldn't have been happier!
Small plates are the BEST! We shared the elk and chorizo meatballs, truffle fried mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts. All were fantastic
Food was great and service matched it!
Great food, not too noisy, great company. Waitstaff were nice, but cleared the plates a bit too fast - we hadn't finished licking the plates! But the desserts were amazing, so it was all good.
Outstanding creative small plates to share. What made table 79 stand out even more for us, was the happy hour. At 50% prices for many dishes and drinks, the value here was unbelievable for the quality behind each dish. Do it, don't think twice. This may not be the latest fad restaurant in sb, but it was better than many of those that are. Right at the top of our favorites list. One word of caution, there is no kids menu, although you could probably find something suitable on the menu.
We’re not sure we love the new menu: no fish or pasta choices.
The dishes were generally good except the elk meatball.
We were seated in the second room and it felt lonely- other tables were mostly empty.
Service was good but basically the 5 sharing dishes all came out at the same time. That was odd.
Great Farm to Table dinner. Served Family Style. Set menu. Fun, local, fresh, tasty, abundant and so well presented. Great for a group outing.
We love the food and we love sitting at the kitchen bar but they really need to hire a waitress to service that area of the restaurant. We had to leave our seats to go to the bar to fetch the bartender who was also our waitress. Horrible service. Out of three brands of scotch .. but the chefs are outstanding and the food was REALLY delicious.
Went 2 nights in a row because we wanted to try as many items as possible. For the summer they have a tapas menu and only 2 entrees. A few of the items are half price between 5-6pm. Very fun evenings and tried many dishes perfect for 2 of us to share.
Okay food, easy parking, a bit noisy.
Always incredibly delicious! New menu items are wonderful.
Service and ambiance were nice. We were disappointed that the summer menu changes — as we chose the restaurant based on the menu in the Dining Guide. That being said, the food was excellent.
We liked it so much the first night that we went back our second night in steamboat. Great cocktails, team approach at all levels . We loved it!
What a GREAT find! The menu is creative without being too "out there". Seasonal, local fare! Great vegetarian options and modifications. The rotating draft is also a well-thought choice, along with many locals.
Definitely worth the time to take a break in downtown Steamboat for a really nice, elegant meal in a laid-back, mountain-town setting! Fine food at its most comfortable!
We went for Happy Hour for a friends birthday, our waitress was charming and she remembered us from a previous visit, we come often for Happy Hour, great food and the old fashion is the BEST!
Put in room with large table celebrating bachelorette night. So loud and it took almost 1 hour to get our food.
Caught the last night of local specials, but it coincided with new summer menu. The rib eye for 2 was OUTSTANDING! I had just had 3 steaks in Chicago (at major steakhouses) in the previous 3 days and this was by far and away the best dish I had all week. Came with a ton of super seasonal grilled veg! My wife and I loved the watermelon salad with creamy burrata and I love the Brussel Sprouts, but they need to remove the sprinkling of sugar on top.
My only criticism is that the mixed drinks are always short-have had that 3 or 4 times at Table 79, so it's time to call them out on that. Fill 'er up! Wine pours are very good, but the cocktails, while delicious, are well below the rim of the glass despite VERY LARGE cubes!
We came for happy hour during mud season, it's fantastic value with original/creative food and great cocktails and wine. Excellent service from Caroline, thanks! Highly recommended and will definitely book for an occasion soon.
Table 79 is one of my favorite restaurants in Steamboat, We took the opportunity to eat here recently because they were having spring/mud season deals - 50 percent off entrees. We began with the roasted brussel sprouts which were excellent! My friend had the flat iron steak and I had the salmon. Both were beautifully prepared and delicious!
The restaurant can be a bit noisy so if you desire a quiet place, dine either early or late.
All in all, you will never walk away from Table 79 disappointed! It is superb!
Fantastic food! Really enjoyed the chef’s table.
Food amazing, drinks amazing. Appreciate how friendly and personable the staff is. Jenny and Caroline always go out of their way to make us feel welcome and give top notch service. Great atmosphere!
All very good. Service and food excellent
Table 79 is becoming one of our "go to" restaurants, we were here a couple weeks ago with friends and everything was superb. One of our favorites are the Portobello fries, I think we get them almost every time we come ~ I definitely suggest giving them a try!
This time I had the delicious & tender pan seared salmon, hubby had the gnocchi and Dad had the burger with potato wedge fries & a side butter lettuce salad ~ all scrumptious!
There are 5-6 "Mains" that are 1/2 off during May which made dining today very reasonable. They also regularly offer a "Happy Hour" food menu from 5-6pm and again from 9pm to closing; that menu includes 5-6 items and one of them is the aforementioned scrumptious burger! Very friendly yet professional wait staff, industrial chic decor and gourmet eats!
One last suggestion: the espresso chocolate martini on the dessert menu ~ Cheers!
Fantastic! Always. Have been there many times and only once under the new management was it not quite as good as the past. That was early in the transition and it is again up to its usual fantastic standard. Only downside is it can be so loud you are yelling to talk to your dining companions.
Great team! Very inviting, good food, good atmosphere.
Delicious, Beautifully constructed, Perfectly served ~ could not have been better
