SWIM CLUB

A historic pool turned social club, Swim Club is refreshingly fun. Indulge in the age-old adage: eat, drink, and be Downright. Grab a bite in the sunken dining room with submarine views of the adjacent pool, sip a refreshing cocktail on your poolside lounger, soak in the sun on The Lawn, and when the good-hearted and good-timing leaves you thirsty for more, enjoy late-night tunes in Rodeo Room.

DINE AT SWIM CLUB

Dive in with cold-blended cocktails and brick-oven cooking. Vibrant cocktails with bright spices and citrus complement the dining room’s animated hues while the menu conjures memories of endless summers, highlighting local ingredients, backyard grilling favorites, roasted with the ferocity of the Texas sun. For groups of 12 or more please email ryan.hollowell@downrightaustin.com or visit us online at swimclubaustin.com for private dining requests.

Such a CUTE AND FUN place!!! Drinks were so yummy!! Our waitress brought us little rubber duckies, the best!!! So many places for the cutest pics!!!

Our group really enjoyed visiting the Swim Club! The branding and theme of the restaurant is such an experience! The food portions are on the smaller side, selection of food is limited, and the prices are a little expensive, but the atmosphere is truly what makes the experience great! Best part of the experience was the lovely staff that helped coordinate everything!

Love this place! The atmosphere, food and service all came together to create one of the best mother's day meals I've shared with my Mom in many years. Fabulous! I can't wait to go again

Very fun vibe. We ate inside the pool! Food was great! We shared a zucchini & burrata pizza and a hamburger! Yum!

Normally, I don't write negative reviews, but my experience was so different from the online feedback that I felt compelled to share. Swim Club had been on my radar since it opened, especially after seeing positive press and features from local food influencers. However, the first sign that something was off was the wide-open reservation availability for a Saturday night. This often suggests a place might have relied on an initial gimmick that has since lost its appeal, leaving no strong reason for repeat visits. The second clue was the location within an aging hotel that seemed to have only received a superficial retro renovation. Upon arrival, the lack of other diners was noticeable – the place was practically empty. The menu itself was surprisingly basic, resembling something you'd find poolside rather than in a featured restaurant. The pizza I ordered tasted distinctly like a frozen one, and others in my group identified their wraps as tasting like they came from Costco. We left shortly after, all wondering how much longer Swim Club could realistically stay in business given our disappointing experience.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your visit to Swim Club fell short of expectations. It’s clear that we missed the mark in several areas, and your comments have been shared with our leadership and culinary teams as part of an ongoing effort to raise the bar across the board. As we are a poolside restaurant our business does tend to ebb and flow with how sunny it is out on any given day. We make our pizza dough in house daily and definitely aren't sourcing any products from Costco. We appreciate your feedback in all aspects and it has already been shared with both our front of house staff as well as the culinary team to make sure we are better in all regards.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the decor and music set the chill vibe, and the food was fantastic! I’ll definitely be back in the summer to have drinks poolside!
