In our 22 years of living in the Pacific Northwest this was by far the best Japanese meal we've had. The fish in the chirashi was melt-in-your-mouth fresh as was the braised Snake River wagyu. You've also got to try the halibut tempura, Jidori Chicken Karaage, Oishi Roll, Black Dragon Roll, and the House Made Millet Mochi for dessert. My wife also loved her two Shiso Mojito's.

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago, and was so impressed with their fish selection and quality that we knew we had to come back to try the omakase! Did the sashimi omakase and it was AMAZING. They paced it in two courses and after the first course, our server asked if we wanted the second course to be similar to or different from the first (so we could get more variety). We decided to go for variety and i'm glad we did - we tried many things that we wouldn't have normally ordered, and everything was incredibly tasty! Also, their rolls are amazing. Try the Oishi and Black Dragon rolls - you will not regret it! They also have some delicious sake options.

I’ve never had a bad meal at Sushi Kappo Tamura. The rolls here are delicious, what I find impressive is the quality and variety of fresh fish.

Fish ok quality, obviously not “aged” for a few days as some sushi restaurants do, braised beef dish was not good, you should rethink that entire dish, the broth was obviously not made in house, like from a container and mixed with water

As always, Sushi Kappo Tamura was the perfect choice for a special occasion. My best friend was celebrating a birthday and wanted to celebrate here. They made it special right out of the gate with a cute little happy birthday card waiting on the table when we arrived. We had the 6-course Omakase (with added sashimi course) and everything was so fresh and delicious. It included some dishes and fish we’d never tried before as well as the staples we know and love. Service was top notch. Thanks for a wonderful experience, SKT!

Everything was amazing, from the fish to the happy birthday wishes from the staff to the sake list to the amazing service from Mel! Really great, unpretentious spot to grab some amazing sushi - note that our total was over $400 with a bottle of sake which certainly wasn’t the cheapest date I’ve been on, but the quality was well worth the price!

If I could eat here once a week for the next 20 years, I would. This restaurant mixes flawless and genuine service (Edward!) with an evolving and comprehensive market-centered menu, which conveys the thought and care that the ownership places on serving an array of fresh caught options.

The beverage menu is diverse and reasonable, the price points are modest given the quality, and the ambiance is slightly uptempo but still civil enough for a good conversation.

I’ve always left satisfied and impressed, which judging from the rankings here, I’m not alone.

This was a perfect 5-course meal. Since there was two of us dining, we had an opportunity to try everything they offered in this meal set. The yuzu ginger tea (hot) was delicious. The service was great - super friendly and knowledgable. I would definitely return.

The sushi was very, very good. We sat at the bar so service was very quick, which was nice. The sushi chef was cool and helped us decide what to get, which I always appreciate (we had 4 kinds of salmon sashimi based on his suggestions). We went during happy hour and so were able to enjoy a pretty expensive bottle of sake for half price, which was great. We will definitely come back.

The choice of music in the restaurant was appropriate, we appreciated that, as many restaurants are too noisy and not the music we want to hear while trying to have a nice meal.

Our favorite place to celebrate milestones in our family! Excellent food, great service, friendly servers and warm inviting ambiance.

We think Sushi Kappo Temura is the best sushi in Seattle. Also open for lunch! High quality seafood served at optimum temperature for enjoying sushi. TheIr sushi rice is so good! The Shiso Roll was a tasty surprise. Can’t wait to have it again.

We came in for husiness meeting. I am a regular here and everyone was so impressed! I had Executives who travel the world and go to Japan and Tokyo... At the beginning they said no Uni and quail eggs Matt asked then to try and by the end of the evening eveyone said BEST sushi rhey have ever had and would come back here every time they come to Seattle! Better than Tokyo Matt Steve abd the entire team is top notch and would bring any Executive or customer here Thanks Steve Matt and all of you! Made me look so good!! Thank you very much Never doubted it would be the best!!!

Always great sushi! We sat at the counter and Matt took great care of us serving amazing cuts of all their fresh fish! Must have their handmade mochi dessert! Delicious!

This restaurant never fails to provide a * meal! I have brought family and business collegues here numerous times and they always leave wanting to come back agian soon. I hear from collegues in LA that they want to come back for another visit to Seattle specifically for another evening at Tamura's!
