Nice service, very attentive sake sommelier. We are happy with the overall experience.
Had an incredible experience and meal at SGO. Food and service were impeccable. Each course was handcrafted in front of us with precision and care. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. Very expensive but I would highly recommend for special occasions if you’re looking to splurge.
We celebrated our son's 21st birthday over lunch @ Ginza. We opted for the mid-level (option B) on the pre-set menu for $150 p/p and also ordered a bottle of white wine. It was not our first time @ Ginza. Service was great and as expected, the sushi (10 nigiri + handroll) was super well executed and tasty. Bar sitting was very comfortable and specious. Not super cheap, but we felt that the food and the experience were well worth it! Highly recommended!
A transcendent dining experience, full stop. The staff were also incredibly warm and friendly, which isn't typical of traditional Japanese restaurants. We felt welcomed. Also, impeccable Japanese whisky list.
Omakase was excellent and the staff were very friendly!
We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
Food was excellent, the service up to a very high standard, and everything we expected and more.
Sushi was amazing. Very fresh and all from Japan. Chef Kebu was kind and explained all the fish well (origin from within Japan) and type of fish. I have been to many sushi places in the city and this is definitely top 3 if not the best.
Una cena excelente.
Was a great dinner at ginza , never disappoint
The staff is extremely polite. The host/hostess has a tablet on hand so you can learn more about each course. If you are lucky, you will be seated at a spot where you can watch the chef's amazing knife skills up close.
Excellent food and service. Overall, it was a great experience.
Will be back soon
Best omakase experience I’ve had outside of extensive travels in Japan and similar Michelin starred restaurants. Worth every penny.
One of the omakase experiences you should not miss!!!
Meet my expectations every time I come. Highly recommended!!
Exceptional experience, good food and excellent service. I like that they show you the name and pictures of the fish you are having, especially they are special kinds from Japan.
Amazing and worth every penny. Fish just melts in your mouth. Must go!
One of the best sushi omakase in NYC. Highest recommendation.
We had a great time here! food and service were outstanding
First time back since pre-pandemic. Excellent omakase with pristine fish and perfect presentations. You can taste the care in every bite. Service is spot on as well.
Sushi Ginza Onodera was lovely, as always. The fish quality, all from Toyosu, is of the highest quality, prepared with care, and delivered with flare. Service impeccable.
Fantastic location, great service, and absolutely stunning cuisine.
Everything was so fresh and of such a top quality... wow!
One of my favorite sushi place in NYC. Great service and dining experience.
I should come back to this restaurant to enjoy authentic Japanese sushi.
Wonderful experience. Great service. Memorable meal.
The service was outstanding
I feel like I never really had sushi before I had this meal. Changed my mind entirely. The food was amazing. The service could not have been better. On of those meals and experiences that you will never forgot and spend the rest of your life searching for again.
Amazing, beautiful, mind blowing. If I back to NYC, I would come again.
Amazing, top notch all around. Exceptional service.
It' s our first visit to this restaurant and try Omakase lunch course, Love the interior decor, we both enjoyed sitting at the counter top, watch the sushi chef prepare our lunch.
Service is excellent as our server pay attention to every detail. I would recommend this restaurant to our friends and definitely go back again.
Perfectly curated Japanese dining experience. Well worth the expense!
Everything was perfect...will definitely return in the near future.
I can’t explain how excellent the sushi was. I am going back again soon!!!! I am so glad Sushi Onodera opened the restaurant in NYC!!! Now I know why they got Michelin star.
Food was amazing.
We were a bit upset about being rushed out of the establishment. This may be due to Covid but nonetheless it disturbed our bliss.
Had pre fixe at the bar.
The course starts with a few cooked dishes and then progresses into sashimi, nigiri and finishes with an incredible chopped tuna, hokkaido uni and ikura temaki. There was a miso soup that was incredibly bold and refreshing.
The service and ambiance was great - truly felt like I was in Ginza (complete with an old rich white guy loudly explaining Vietnam to the sushi chefs and telling his young, female companion she was only a lesbian when it was convenient).
Went on a Tue during COVID. Was a bit pricey but there were only 4 other people at the bar (not including my partner) and everything was superb so I really shouldn't complain.
