Situated on the busy Bromley Road through Downham is Suruchi, a popular Indian restaurant with good food and excellent service. Suruchi has a contemporary clean-lined interior with pure white walls and statement lighting, high backed seating and touches of bright, eye catching colour used throughout, adding charming personality. Service is polite and friendly, the team smiling and helpful throughout your visit. Though established in 1979, Suruchi has doubtless moved with the times with the most recent owners not only insisting on modern surroundings but on a menu suited to today’s taste for authentic but healthy food, free from unnecessary additives and made with flavour, aroma and looks in mind. The result is a taste of regional India, covering both those most popular and well-loved curries and tandoori dishes but creative alternatives pioneered by the kitchen team. Brilliant Bangladesh style curry house with friendly service. I can highly recommend the Tikka Vindaloo to all spice lovers. Its great value and you won't be disappointed

We went here for a relaxed local family meal trying several dishes such as the chicken tikha vindaloo, lamb rogun josh and a mixed tandoori grill. All tasted fresh and rich in flavour, along with good service to match. I would highly recommend a visit.
