   We came to this restaurant without a reservation after an event downtown. We found 2 seats at the bar (lucky us). a bistro is a very good description. It has a somewhat limited menu, but everything we had was great. The service was a little slow, but the restaurant was very full. We started with Escargot, it was excellent, perfect for 2. We had a bottle of Sancerre, it was good but a little overpriced. The Cassoulet was not what I have had in other French restaurants but OK, different style, not creamy at all. My wife really enjoyed the Sole, well prepared and tasty. We would go back again, but with a reservation.

   Amazing. The first time I intended to go for lunch but looked through the window and it just seemed a little to formal for me that day so my friend and I went to Tasty and Alder across the street instead which is always delicious. I just made it back though for a lunch and loved it. Once seated inside it did not feel stuffy or formal at all. I had a delicious Nicoise salad. All the plates I saw coming out looked great. Definitely on top quality culinary restaurant and good representation of French cuisine. I'll be back soon!

   Love that cassoulet! But everything I've ever had here was excellent. It's small, and I wish the tables were further apart, but the food is excellent and the staff are really extraordinarily pleasant, kind, and well informed.

   It has been several months, but I recall a small ground floor restaurant with loft seating upstairs, very similar to many small restaurants in crowded European cities. The food was well made, flavorful and very well presented by a pleasant and efficient wait staff. Highly recommended. I need to get back there soon.

    Serving classic French dishes in lovely surroundings . Friendly and attentive service. They have a best cassoulet I have had outside of France - duck confit, sausage. pork belly instead of shoulder. No lamb or crispy bread crust but still delightful. Mussles in the classic cream sauce fine if nothing special. Beef bourguignon also good. My only complaint is the wine prices. The selection is OK but apart from a very few choices in the lower range, the prices quickly escalate to nearly four times retail in some cases. A more even price distribution would be appreciated and might increase bottle sales as well.
