Made a reservation and was a little scared when we heard the wait was 1.5 hours on a Saturday morning. Luckily we were seated right away. The outside was packed but the inside had plenty of tables. We had a bottle for mimosas, Crepes and regular breakfast. Everything was great! We will be back!

The food was fantastic and service was outstanding! A brunch spot is perfect at that location. One caution: since they’re new, make sure to make a reservation if you don’t want to wait for a long time. They are very popular and doing everything they can to accommodate everyone, but reservations get seated first. (People were getting irritated that groups who arrived after were being seated first.)

The food and service was amazing. It was extremely busy so reservations are a must! We ate inside so it was pretty noisy the day we went.

Clumsy reception. Sunny's made the mistake of hiring a lot of summer students who were not properly prepared for the job. The effort was likely well intended, but poorly performed. Problems began at the reception desk when the summer student didn't recognize our name, then once she figured it our with the added confusion of two other students realized they had seated a stranger at our previously reserved table for eight. Whille standing waitibg awkwardly, they threw together two tables to accommodate our group but right next to the bar and kitchen in spite of our request when making the reservation a week before for a quiet area. The young man who eventually served our table was quite pleasant and accommodating. However several of his young female colleagues stood leaning on the nearby bar talking and laughing instead of working. Then quite unfortunately the chicken was overcooked and dry. Overall, the experience was disappointing.

Excellent food and service at outdoor table. The misters were very welcome on a hot summer day! A lot of stinky noisy traffic.

New Boerne restaurants always get hyped when they open so as a 22 year resident, I wanted to check it out. So many places have tried and failed in this location. Sunny’s was a pleasant surprise and seems like just the concept we need—especially on weekends. The menu is pretty broad and varied. You can get whatever you like, whenever you like it which is a refreshing change of pace. I tried the Eggs Benedict which were perfectly cooked but the hollandaise and ham were a little bland—not bad, just not exceptional. The server didn’t know that a side of breakfast potatoes came with it so I ended up with TWO servings—no matter, the extra side was promptly removed from my check. The breakfast potatoes ARE excellent, by the way! My co-diner enjoyed the “Just Peachy” French Toast as well. There are lots of servers who were very attentive—perhaps a bit too intrusive at times, interrupting our conversations frequently to check on us. However, they were very earnest about providing good service which is more than I can say about most Boerne restaurants! I’ll take too much over too little any day. In all this place shows lots of promise and seems like it’s well on the way to success. We look forward to going back and trying more lunch type items next time. Sunny’s is well worth your time and a visit to recommend…

We love Sunny’s. A welcome new addition to Boerne. If you sit outside you may be in the sun a bit. Could use more shade and fans in this heat. The servers are so friendly, the menu is fun and fabulous!
