No mention of a buffet only service while booking.
The food was below average for $100/per person Mother's Day.
The foo was excellent and the severs were very courteous. I loved it.
We were married at the Sundy House and have gone back many times to eat.
The service was TERRIBLE. If I could give no stars I would.
I drove an hour to go to the Sundy House because I usually love the brunch there. We decided to go for Mother’s Day. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is usually very good. However, not this time. To start, the service was terrible- even for a buffet! Our drinks (waters and mimosas) were always empty and we had to search for our server. With a brunch you usually go to different areas for different types of food... we had piles of dishes on our table that were never picked up. The food was not good this time either. It is placed in large heated silver trays, so the food was often burned or very dry from just sitting in the trays and not refreshed. The crab legs looked great but they were awful. When I could track down my server for a shell-cracker, I tried to open them- they were so full of water that it literally splattered in my face and clothes. Then the taste- so terribly salty I couldn’t even finish one. We again tracked down our server to ask for the bill- and then discovered why they were so absent and not very helpful- they automatically added 20% gratuity onto the bill. Which by the way is $100 per person on a holiday. That is a fair price for many places on a holiday- but not when the food was so bad. I tried to speak with a manager and was told that “they are very busy right now due to the holiday and to try again later”! My usual wonderful experience at the Sundy House was so bad that I will never go again. What a disappointment.
Wonderful Mother's day. Looking forward to returning.
Mother’s Day was the occasion. Way over priced and they included a 20% on the bill. Worst service I’ve had in along time. I think it was because her tip was included she could of cared less. Very disappointed.
You don’t include the tip with 2 people. She would have done better. Sad. Money hungry. I know people are not generous with tips. But coming from ny the server would have done a lot better. Disgraceful. From a bar owner. Happy Mother’s Day.
Great Food ! Perfect Mother’s Day 🌸
Totally not worth $100 per person. Requested outside and seated in a dungeon with a waiter who probably knew a 20% tip was included. Will never go back.
Not at all the same quality of past years. I took my 81 year old mother to their special Mother’s Day brunch. The food quality was no where close to passed years. The selection was also more limited. While the wait staff was friendly, and most likely short handed, it was still lacking even with those things in consideration. They also raised the price from $75 pp to $100 pp, which made the poor food quality even harder to swallow. While the ground remain as beautiful as ever, there are many more places to chose from for this amount of money.
A beautiful venue with fabulous service! There were so many delicious food options to pick from, and the bottomless frozè, mimosas, and Bloody Mary’s were the perfect addition.
We have always loved The Sundy House. We have not been here in a while.
I was very disappointed with our service. We actually waited about an hour for our food.
I was also disappointed with the pretzels served in lieu of fresh bread and butter.
The food was very tasty when we finally got it!
The waiter was not very friendly or personable and did not seem to know what he was doing. For a $500.00 meal, I expected way more!
I am not sure if we will be back. We do not mind spending this amount of money for a special occasion, but it needs to be worth the money! The service, and food need to be excellent, as it has been in the past visits.
Far beyond expectations! The food and the service was exceptional.
Reservation was 7 15. Had to wait for 30 min to be seat
Our waitress didn’t show off for 20 min and then show off only two times for take order and check
Got water spill on us from bus boy
We were expecting a nice table, but they put us in a corner, terrible view, the music was way too loud, the portion of the food very little. The glasses had some stains.
And the price way too expensive. That place is so beautiful but I think some costumers have previleges.
We ate outside & went for Mother’s Day as my sister flew in from New Jersey. Appetizer was great. When main dish came we were bombarded with flies. We were constantly having to wave our hands throughout the main course. The food was good but I felt like I had to eat it quickly as the flies would not leave. We told the waitress but she just said sorry. After the main course they left us alone & we at least enjoyed our dessert & coffee.
Service was great except for not assisting with flies.
I would highly recommend using perhaps candles or any other method to keep flies away. This made the experience not as I’d hoped.
We loved our dining experience. Being at a table for 2, near the garden, under the trees made it very special! The filets were excellent, as were the appetizers, desserts, and drinks! Very romantic!
Went to celebrate my sons 18th Birthday for Saturday Brunch. Made reservation 2 weeks in advance and still waited 30 min for an outdoor table. Service was sloppy and rushed. Food was expensive and below mediocre. Ambience was just okay since they sat us next to the street and parking lot. There are soooo many better choices than this place. May be a better experience if you do a large party and get the back outdoor space which seemed nice.
You can't beat the ambiance at Sundy House! We sat outside and dined in an outdoor paradise that is a nature lovers dream. We enjoyed Saturday brunch which has a special and varied menu. There were many traditional brunch choices as well as many unique selections. We had the Eggs Benedict as an entrée and the French Toast bites as an appetizer which are beyond amazing. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. I have been wanting to come here for a long time and it certainly did not disappoint! I am looking forward to a return visit soon.
Beautiful setting. Server was nice but very forgetful. Had to remind him of items several times and wouldn’t see him for long stretches of time (especially frustrating with the all you can drink option).
Very expensive and the food was over cooked. The $56 lamb chops were over cooked and served with what tasted like the breakfast home fries. Calamari app was undercooked and the Caesar salad came out with Arugula not romaine, minus the Caesar dressing but they added a whole sardine on top. Yuck. Our server Rachel was sweet and did a great job, but now we remember why we don’t go there. Disappointing.
The Sundy House is absolutely fantastic! We dined in after a referral from our hotel manager, and we were very enthused! The food was great, atmosphere was quiet and soothing, and we DEFINITELY did not expect to find something so charming at this location. Five stars all day long!
Wonderful food, ambiance and service
Great service, need more desert choices.
After 15 minutes of being seated, no one approached us to offer water or a drink.
No one acknowledged us even after the front desk was notified.
We got up and left. Terrible experience!
Had the bouillabaisse and it was GREAT. Escargot was great. Hubby had the scallops and they were only ok. Ambiance was fantastic. Service was slow, but they were definitely short staffed. Our server was so busy. We overall loved it and plan to go back again and again!
My mom was in town so I treated her to an early Mother’s Day dinner. We had a beautiful table in the garden, had impeccable service, and the best meal of magi & lamb! She was on Cloud9! Thank you to everyone that helped make it so special!!
If you have a special occasion & want to wow someone, this is the place to take them. The food was spectacular, the grounds were beautiful & the overall atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. We will definitely be back.
It was lovely. The service was wonderful. Sue was our server, and promptly brought over new drinks and cleared our used plates away.
The Sunday brunch buffet was amazing!! The was was fresh and delicious. There were so many choices: a seafood bar, a carving station, breakfast foods, a salad bar, and deserts.
I love the tropical gardens that surround the restaurant
What a nice place to enjoy brunch, weather was perfect to sit outside, food was delicious.
The food was fantastic. Our server was a little slow on drink refills. But the over all experience was fantastic.
It is still a magic place! Food quality could be better. We just had bad luck sitting next to a very loud and happy group, but good for them! My suggestion: If you are looking for a quiet romantic evening (perfect place!) ask for one of the isolated tables in the garden.
Food was fine. Service was possibly the worst I’ve ever experienced. Waited to be seated for 45 minutes. Waited another 45 minutes for food. Didn’t have same waiter/waitress over the course of dinner. Brought appetizer after the meal. Service was So bad we thought we were being punked. What a shame. The gardens were beautiful but our evening was ruined.
Long-standing patrons of the Sundy House and have to say we were disappointed (except for our server). The food was fair at best, portions were small especially for the price - 3 scallops for $37? Seated near a VERY loud party - couldn’t even hear over them. Given covid circumstances and our many years of wonderful experiences there, I’ll never say never but definitely will think twice.
Outstanding meal. Outstanding cocktails. Such a pretty place, eat outside the surroundings are beautiful. Definitely Delray’s is hidden gem
The setting is just lovely. Unfortunately we considered the the service a little below par for the expensive limited menu you had the day we dined. My fries were luke warm and if the waiter had been more attentive we would have had more libations. We were told that we would have two servers we ended up with one and found out some of his tables were very far apart. So with that being said overall he was pleasant I just think you were short staffed.
The food was incredible the service was not good the manager was very rude and unprofessional
