   Disappointing visit. Been here a few times and I can say now, NEVER again! Summer House may have the vibe, but you all have gone down hill. Service to food was mediocre at best. You all need to be renamed as the Poor House.

   We will definitely return. The four of us each tried a different entree, and all were good — the lobster enchiladas were excellent. And we’ve had better roasted Brussels sprouts elsewhere, but these were good in their own way. Beyond the food itself, we loved everything else about the place — ambience, comfortable booth seating, and especially the service (shoutout to Natalie).

   I’ve been there a few times now with different groups of friends. It’s consistently good food and service. LOVE that there are plenty of gluten free options. I brought a friends with Celiac and she hadn’t had chicken tenders for years! She was so happy and took home two gluten free desserts.

   As usual, exceptional. Service with Michael always excellent, food was magnificent — perfectly cooked, beautiful presentation. Our go-to fine-dining spot in town.

   The first time we came we had a very good experience. This time the food was average. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor on the Costa Mesa salad. The chicken cutlet from the chefs special was also dry and the garlic cream sauce lacked flavor. The warm cookie and ice cream for the birthday dessert had been very overheated and was completely hard and burned.

   We encountered some major delays during our visit tonight. Drinks took 30 mins. Bread took 45 mins and we didn’t even get our main course until 80 mins after our reservation time. (There were only two of us dining.) It was definitely strange, but maybe an isolated situation with our table because it seemed like everyone around us arrived, dined, and left while we were just waiting most of the time. The manager, Angela was very nice though. She knew something was up without us complaining about anything, and she was very proactive and accommodating which kinda made up for all of the confusion. Overall, we can’t complain. Everyone was very nice and we weren’t in a hurry. We will come back because we enjoy the ambiance and everyone was friendly.
