Sugar Factory - Foxwoods
Very busy spot, lots of kids.
Made this reservation for a birthday and didn't get any acknowledgment.
Food is OK ... Drinks are very cool, it was the only reason we booked here.
Would recommended other restaurants before this one at Foxwoods.
Waitress never came back! Son’s ceasar salad came without any dressing. Way over priced
Was our first time there . Our waitress was AMAZING! Her name was Kamee S ! She was so great ! Thanks for being AWESOME
Overall the food and service was great. We all ordered cheese burgers and they were yummy!!
The food and drinks were delicious. The environment is great and fun. It's a nice place to go for birthday dinners, or even just for a regular dinner date.
The whole experience felt rushed. We received our apps with no silverware on the table. By the time our silverware came out the entrees were being delivered. $16 sandwich with 1 slice of deli meat and 1 slice of processed cheese. Very overpriced and disappointing considering all the hype this name gets.
We had an amazingly fun time for my daughters sweet 16 birthday dinner. The teens loved it! Great food, wonderful atmosphere!
Great place for a teenage birthday party! So much fun!
Great time, food was ok, drinks were amazing! Fun atmosphere! Our waitress was awesome!
Everything was good and looked amazingly delicious
A little too tight between other tables. Was right next to another couple who thank god were nice but can hear their conversation. Was awkward enough we just made conversation with them lol. Food was amazing per usual. Service was good.
My daughter had been asking to visit Sugar for quite some time but the reviews always made me change my mind. I finally caved and told her I would take her for breakfast when it’s less busy and maybe we can give it a fair review without the crowds to add to the delay if service that I was so often reading in the reviews. When we walked up to the hostess desk she was seating another party in front of us and were surprised at how slowly she was moving. Almost dragging her feet to return to hostess station, once there she did not greet us with a good morning or hello as one would expect since she’s the hostess, instead she asked how many and grabbed 2 menus and very slowly with menus resting on her shoulder she walked us to a table. Due to the proximity of the tables she had to pull out a table just to seat us. Not sure how much others like to dine so close to others but a little bit of distance between tables is always nice. The food presentation was outstanding and quite beautiful but the the taste of it fell short. My daughters pancakes did not taste anything like a pancake, they tasted exactly like a yellow Duncan Hines cake one would bake in the oven and made to look like pancakes. They were supposed to be blueberry lemon but there was not one single blueberry in the pancake, they were sprinkled on top. My French toast brioche looked fantastic but was raw in the center. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to sample lunch or dinner. Again, waitress was super nice and food presentation spot on but that’s just not enough when paying the prices of it all.
Ice cold food no napkins floor was dirty sent food back and they didn’t even care no visit from manager
Amazing! And very fast service. Will definitely be going again!!
My husband and I had a blast! Celebrating my birthday and Valentine’s Day in an atmosphere that was awesome. Josh our server was a sweetheart. He had a smile every time he came over to check on us AND he added a special touch to dessert for my birthday. 💜💜
The waiter had an attitude was very nasty, we all received wrong orders just was not a good time will never go again.
Thank you guys it was fun be back soon for my bday.
Part 3 of review:
The issue here is not the fact that I hadn't been sung to but how it was handled. It's sad that this was my 2nd experience at the same location & same "Birthday" occasion as I booked last year. My 1st experience back in 2018 for my birthday was wonderful. It was booked the exact same way.
I will no longer suggest this restaurant to anyone nor book any reservations that I used to speak so highly of because of two peoples demeanors & un-professionalism.
For anyone making reservations, make sure you add notes in the section that says "Special Requests (optional)" even if you've selected the special occasion because from what the Manager on duty (Celia or Cecilia) says there'll be no notes on your reservation.
It was amazing the food was great the drinks were phenomenal ! My husband and I cannot wait to go back. Making a reservation was also smart because this place gets packed
It was great atmosphere just really tight quarters to your neighbors really couldn’t have a conversation with my husband
The waitress told me the steak had to be cooked well done because it was thick. Well it came out black, chard & thin as a board! I also got sick the next day. Was not worth the $120 bill. Plus was very dark in there.
Noisy. Otherwise good. If we go back to a concert at Foxwoods, we'll probably go back there
Everything but the bathrooms were perfectly acceptable in quality and standard. The women's bathroom however, was absolutely horrifying. Not only were all 3 of the stalls completely out of toilet paper for the entirety of our visit (around 1:30pm), but when we went to use the facilities at the conclusion of our meal, one stall was covered in what can only be described as female waste, and two separate waitresses had to be informed before anyone went inside. As long as you're okay with using outside facilities, this would be a good visit.
The atmosphere was nice. Seeing the kids excitement when the drinks came out was great. I was disappointed there was no kids menu. That I paid 25$ for a drink for kids. And the adult alcoholic drink (bowl) did not taste any different then my kids. The turkey club tasted like one I can get at a chelos or Greg’s. Our waitress never came over to ask us how we were. And also forgot we asked for extra candy in the kids drink. We had to remind her. Over all I think it was very expensive. Not sure if I would go back. But I would recommend friends to try at least once.
Food was super expensive not worth the money and our $25 drink didn’t even have the word sugar factory on the cup for a good picture it was scratched off and warped.
Food and ambiance were excellent!!! Prices are on the higher end especially the goblit drink for $36, but overall a great experience. Service was quick and the waitress was attentive as well.
Amazing food and drinks !! Goblet drinks are pricey but worth it !! Totally recommend
We were expecting to have a better time, the waitress was running everywhere and we could barely ask questions about food. On top of all of that our food was horrendous! The fettuccine Alfredo was by FAR the worst I’ve had.. so bland and tasteless! I’ve made it a million times and this was disgusting, I expected for it to taste better than mine, clearly not! Will not be going here any longer.
It was so amazing! My husband and I had a wonderful time! We will definitely be coming back!
The waiter took a little longer than expected but overall was a pretty good experience
Waitress was very sweet and polite, very helpful with the drinks and food we selected. Love the atmosphere! Been there so many times I highly recommend. I had reserved there about 6 times and I was about 15 min late and they still had the cortuse to take me and my family!
If you like to get asked to move your table 3 times during dinner to fit people inbetween the tables then this is the place for you. Our table was probably 3inches from the table next to us and as a result had to move our table, as requested by the hostess, to let people through. So much for enjoying ourselves.
Then the goblet we got-the valentines drink-went all over the table which flustered the server and as a result only got 2/3 of our drink because she stoppes pouring it into the goblet to clean up but then didnt pour the remaining 1/3 into the goblet once the mess was cleaned. We watched the table next to us though go through the exact same thing with the exact same drink, but they got the remaining 1/3 of their drink poured into their goblet. I just wish that the $38 drink we ordered was full.
Entrees came out while the appetizer plate was still on the table which isnt a big deal but in order to make room for the entree plates i had to hold the appetizer plate and i thought the food runner would take the appetizer plate with him, but he did not. So i was left holding this massive appetizer plate with nowhere to put it until the server saw my plight and came over a few minutes later. She apologized and said that the runner should have taken it, but its kind of annoying when so many things go wrong from so many different areas.
We decided that our trips here are done; we usually come for every birthday and whenever we do a date night but time after time are dissappointed. We will instead go to the bar for a drink and somewhere else for dinner where they value service. If I am going to be paying $300 for food and drinks then I expect a level of service that does NOT happen here.
I WANT to like it here, I have tried time and time again to enjoy myself with my husband and each time there is something that goes wrong. This last time is the breaking point though.
Only complaint is that the tables are far too close together. You're like on top of the tables next to you so you don't really get any privacy to talk to your guest
Nice place cool atmosphere food is awesome waitress was very polight.
Very expensive for what we got and therefore don't see the value in spending that much. We got two orders of chicken tenders, two burgers, and one other meal. There is no kids meals, so the tenders were off the appetizer menu. the drinks are VERY expensive.
Food was good, however they brought the appetizer out at the same time as the food. Which was all fine with us however their faces all said "uh oh we messed up". Outside of that it was nice
We enjoyed the frappes very much so!
Overall experience was an enjoyable time spent with family. Service was speedy and friendly. Atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Food was good, waffles and chicken delicious, fried seafood dinner was good but did not get much food for price. Reason for 3 ratings was that several of our dishes were dirty including all drinking glasses and 2 appetizer plates. This was prior to food being served and instead of being able to fully enjoy the food we had to keep inspecting dishes. This left me with a lack of satisfaction and split whether I would want to return.
Stay away from the $36 goblet drinks. Wayyyy overpriced. I should of known when there wasnt a price on the menu. One goblet costs more than both my wife and I meals lol. Also whatever they put in it to make it fizzle hurts your stomach so beware. Our bill was. $120 for two burgers and two drinks ( one drink each person ). Such a ripoff.
My friends and I had a 10:45 reservation, after seeing a show at Fox Theater; we were so glad we had one since the line was so long waiting to get in. The host greeted us immediately and brought us to our table; our waitress came, introduced herself and explained some items on the menu. We had a vanilla milkshake; a Peanut Butter/Chocolate Martini and a Caramel Macchiato Martini....the martinis were fantastic while the milkshake was nothing out of the ordinary. Our drinks were very reasonably priced (unlike the Goblets which are rather pricey).
I found The Sugar Factory to be clean; the staff pleasant and efficient and the menu (both food and drinks) very expansive. It is VERY loud and noisy, however, and the lights are turned off and on often to help celebrate a birthday or other special occasion.
We enjoyed ourselves at The Sugar Factory; it is an experience you have to try!
