Succotash PRIME is a progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award winner Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern Steakhouse menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified, and passed from generation to generation for centuries. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

                                                                                                    Generally good quality food and a nice interior. The serving sizes for our party of four during the Sunday brunch were small considering the moderate to high price point. Also, our server seemed to be sleepwalking through his shift. Some of the fried chicken came out half raw, too.

                                                                                                    It was a nice experience. The best part of the meal was the corn bread appetizer. It was served with hot honey and cinnamon butter. Just delicious. The old bay mac and cheese was also really good. Our server gave us some good recommendations from the menu to try and she was very attentive.

                                                                                                    Great food, venue, and service. I had questions about a Korean / U.S. Southern hybridization, but it works. The dirty fried chicken was great. I am 99% certain the gochujang sauce was homemade, and it was great. It has a slightly more course (than the usual) texture that really went well with the chicken. A friend had the catfish and it was also delish. The mint julep ice cream was also excellent - plainly made locally / on premises with lots of actual fresh mint, no extracts that I could detect. And there was a Demerara sugar or the like woven through the ice cream that really added a slightly but neat texture. Huh, just realized there are at least two “texture” based distinctions for the meal. Kinda neat. Also, the staff, particular the bar staff upstairs, were top-notch.

                                                                                                    My sister and I just dined at Succotash for the first time to celebrate our joint birthdays. We both ordered the Taste of the South tasting menu. I highly recommend this option for first time guests, as it offers a variety of starters, mains, sides, and desserts for the table to enjoy family style. We also ordered some delicious cocktails and mocktails (my sister is pregnant, so we loved that there were good options for her). The food was delicious, and we left absolutely stuffed and satisfied. As a veteran of the service industry, I was also very favorably impressed with the staff and their attention to detail and great service. We were greeted at the door with birthday wishes and seated promptly at a lovely booth table. Our server, Brian, was helpful, friendly, and attentive to our every need. The food was run out by multiple servers and/or food runners in perfectly timed waves. Silverware and place settings were reset as needed. We never had to ask for anything. Everything was anticipated. The manager, Clark, stoped by multiple times to check that our experience was perfect- and it really was! Thank you to everyone who contributed to our wonderful night!

                                                                                                    The food and service were amazing. I cannot wait to visit again. The crab dip was delicious. The seasonal salad with shrimp added was outstanding. Highly recommended

                                                                                                    Our experience at Succotash was incredible. We did the Taste the South experience and we found it to provide great value, both in terms of diversity in the dishes provided and the portion sizes. The standouts for us were the smoked ribeye, fried green tomato salad, and all the chicken dishes. Service was also excellent.

                                                                                                    Great evening, great company, superb Succotash!! Hu-See served us as we were the only customers: with kindness and genuine hospitality. Food and drinks deliciously tasty! Hu-See recommendations were right, the dessert flavor surprised all of us. Clark, the manager, made sure everything was ready for us to enjoy the “happy” time. Thanks! We will be back!

                                                                                                    We had a wonderful brunch experience at Succotash Prime. I highly recommend the deviled eggs (we tried both the green tomato kimchi and the bacon jam) and the kimchi crab dip. We also enjoyed the Hangover special and the Crispy chicken sandwich (spicy was perfect!) . I was hoping to try a tofu dish but the only option was the Delta Rice Bowl. That was ok, wish it was more like a bibimbap. The star of the brunch was the banana pudding!! you have to get it!! highly recommend!! Service was very good, our waiter was training a newbie who was building up his confidence. To top our wonderful brunch the place is just beautiful! Worth coming back!!!
