About
Color me (and three others) crazy but the place looked boarded up and closed. I think y'all better check this one out and see if it should actually be on the site.....
The restaurant is closed and apparently out of business!
Stuzzi Closed in June and is no longer in business!!!!!!
This restaurant is closed. Remove from Open Table!
the restaurant is permanently closed. we did not eat there.
We booked a reservation and when we arrived there was a padlock on the door with no explanation. This was very disappointing.
Restaurant was closed. No indication why. Had to rate in order to write a review, hence the poor ratings. Hope to try again sometime soon.
I made a reservation, only to arrive and see a sign on the door saying Stuzzi was closed for vacation. Very disappointing. We love the food at this restaurant, but have been disappointed time and time again by service, cleanliness, and now arriving for a reservation to see a closed sign. Doubtful we'll give Stuzzi another chance.
I got there and a place was closed wasted my gas to get there that is unacceptable
Made a reservation. Got to the restaurant with a sign on the door saying “on vacation until Sunday”.... maybe don’t accept reservations then
Made a reservation, showed up, and the restaurant had a sign on the door that read “on vacation til Sunday”.
Criminally underrated, probably due to past issues with service.
Ordered gluten free pizza (allergy) and 20 minutes later was told that they didn't have any that day. SO it delayed everyone's meal. I ordered gluten free pasta with vodka sauce. I was assured there was no flour in the sauce. after being in the restaurant a full hour, dinners arrived and the sauce was so thick that if there wasn't flour it was like eating the sludge at the bottom of the pot from the day before. The waitress seemed very new and didn't want to go back to the boss with problems or complaints. I didn't eat the meal - but she was more than happy to charge me for it. I thought I was finding a new Gluten free pizza option - but clearly it was a bust on all accounts. Never again.
Great pizza!!! The best in town.
Service was slow so you need to prepare to longer than an hour for lunch.
The food and service were excellent! He raviolis were fresh made and the pizza was delicious! I wanted to give the restaurant the highest rating! But the ambiance needs work. And the place needs a really good cleaning. And maybe dishes that aren't chipped. Bring in a decorator, maybe a woman's touch, and people will be lined up at the door.
We were seated a few minutes after arriving at Stuzzi, but waited 15 minutes before our server brought menus or took drink orders. It then took about 10 minutes to get water, another 10 minutes to get my husband's glass of wine, and another 30 minutes to get my glass of wine. It seemed like the other tables around us, including a large party of 8 that arrived after we did, got served long before we did. When we finally got our food, the eggplant parmesan was very salty but the pizza was ok.
Great pizza
Awful service
Stuzzi never disappoints !! Great tasty and amazing food! Pizza is on point !just like on Italy ! Pasta is amazing ! Appetizers yummy! And the desserts dreamy !
This is my favorite Italian restaurant! Authentic cooking to the tee!
Very disappointing, poor service at the bar, dirty wine glass, waited 30 minutes past our reservation time, although they were seating others. We were waiting at the bar. They must have forgotten us, but we finally got our table after asking twice. Service was very slow, food order incorrect, and when the food did arrive we still had no silverware, napkins or plates. Not sure we will return here.
our family has been Stuzzi many times. while the service has always been just fair, we came for the pizza and pasta. this time, the service was terrible (long time to get service, food served without small plates or silverware). And the margherita pizza was missing flavor (no basil), the foccacia was super salty and the broccolini was limp. clearly they had plenty of customers. I am disappointed that they don't the edge they had a few years ago. fortunately we have alot of good pizza choices in RVA
Great Food; Great Service; We were able to get a reservation at the last minute.
too many pizza options to produce just "fair" pizza.
Service was just OK.
The waiter was unfamiliar with the specials and didn’t volunteer any information. We had to ask many questions. The service also was somewhat inattentive.
Great time with family
Every other place was slammed so we decided to give Stuzzi another try, hoping not to get a repeat of a way-too-soggy-in-the-middle pizza like we did last time. We were not successful. Service was not attentive, bare minimum kind of thing. :-(
Had not been to Stuzzi in at least a year. Food and service were great.
Will not wait this long between dining experiences at Stuzzi.
This was my first visit here. I ordered a personal pizza and it was just fabulous. I also tried the fried Mozzarella and it was very light and delicious. My friend had a salad and said it was awesome. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful.
Amazing flavors. Fantastic wood fired pizza. Omg, ravioli was unlike no other. Fresh fresh fresh!!!!
Unique flavors. Great, quaint atmosphere. Fantastic service. A very pleasant dining experience.
Had reservation. when we got there we were asked to wait at bar. so we got drinks, which were not good and continued to wait for 20 minutes after our reservation time. We left. Had never heard good things but had to give it a try. the rumors were true.
We have eaten here multiple times over the years. The pizza is solid. We decided to go with caprese and order a calzone. When the caprese came out - we thought it was a a bit of joke. There were 2 slices of tomato and 2 slices of mozzarella. We have come before and it was 4 of each. So we were a bit disappointed. The calzone was good - but a bit unique. It was literally a pizza folded in half with some ricotta cheese in there. Not thick like a normal calzone, but it was good.
We weren't too impressed overall with this meal, but, when we come back - we just stick to pizza.
Food is amazing. Service is chaos.
It is a friendly and family atmosphere. This is my second experience and it was as great as the first, simply wonderful and authentic!
Everything was great our service was outstanding definitely a must visit here in Richmond
Had reservation for 7:45, didnt get seated until 8:30. Food took an hour. Once it arrived it was delicious
Great authentic pizza, great authentic pasta, great setting, authentic Italian, great pizza oven, beautiful bar. It’s my favorite restaurant! I love this place! It makes me think of my Italian roots.
Some of the best baked spaghetti I have had. Individual and family portions are generous. With a pretty good wine selection. Enjoyed the Montepulciano.
Service and kitchen was terrible. A very confusing moment never to return.
Our first visit to Stuzzi’s — Arrancini rice balls were as delicious as those we had in Rome, as was the pizza and cannolis. Between watching the pizza dough being tossed, and the taste of the food and wine, we felt like we were back in Italy! Will be returning soon!
Great food, very authentically Italian. Wood fired pizza like you would get in Italy and perfect Cannoli. But they'd almost run out of wine and didn't have Italian coffee :(
