It is a friendly and family atmosphere. This is my second experience and it was as great as the first, simply wonderful and authentic!
Everything was great our service was outstanding definitely a must visit here in Richmond
Had reservation for 7:45, didnt get seated until 8:30. Food took an hour. Once it arrived it was delicious
Great authentic pizza, great authentic pasta, great setting, authentic Italian, great pizza oven, beautiful bar. It’s my favorite restaurant! I love this place! It makes me think of my Italian roots.
Some of the best baked spaghetti I have had. Individual and family portions are generous. With a pretty good wine selection. Enjoyed the Montepulciano.
Service and kitchen was terrible. A very confusing moment never to return.
Our first visit to Stuzzi’s — Arrancini rice balls were as delicious as those we had in Rome, as was the pizza and cannolis. Between watching the pizza dough being tossed, and the taste of the food and wine, we felt like we were back in Italy! Will be returning soon!
Great food, very authentically Italian. Wood fired pizza like you would get in Italy and perfect Cannoli. But they'd almost run out of wine and didn't have Italian coffee :(
Food and service was great!!! The fresh pizza and pasta was awsome!!
We were a party of six. Arrived 5:30. The only table occupied. After placing our order it took in excess of 30 minutes to be served - I assume they were doing a brisk delivery service because the chef looked busy. We only ordered pizza. The wait should not have been that long. We should have just asked for one check but we asked for individual checks and that was a mistake. The waiter was nice, but inept. The food was okay - nothing to rave about.
The food is just phenomenal. There were out of far too many wines on wine night and the wait time from ordering to serving was not insubstantial. Regardless, we love Stuzzi. There is no pizza like it in Richmond to be found.
I was really disappointed with this experience. The room and the food were ok, but my wife ordered a sandwich and salad. The dressing was way too heave on the salad, which was on the same plate as the sandwich, thus drenching the bread.
The real disappointment was the service. It was spotty, slow, and disjointed. Food came out haphazardly. Perhaps the worst part was there was an older gentleman, I assume the owner, who was berating the staff where the diners could see and hear it. It felt like Hells Kitchen. While there were service issues, one shouldn’t hammer the staff in public. I won’t be back.
The restaurant was packed and I had made a change in people a couple hours earlier and moved the reservation back 15. Sat us right on time which was nice as people were waiting in line to get in. Had the family pasta and family pizza which was perfect and great value. Service on point. Dessert with the donuts was great. All around perfect night.
Pizza is wonderful...can’t go wrong with any of them, calzone too!
Watching families of long-time Richmonders sample better-than-authentic, made-in-house traditional Italian dishes is nothing short of the ideal dining experience. Stuzzi is warm and romantic and certainly the understated neighborhood gem for which I wish nothing but success.
