Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen
At Strong Waters, we take the meaning of craft to the next level by sourcing only the freshest and highest quality ingredients for our cocktails and cuisine. We utilize the “Farm to Shaker” method for our cocktails, meaning we create unique drinks from local ingredients that transport you to another time and place. Our craft beer list is constantly changing and we only select beer from breweries around the state to give you a true taste of the Carolinas. Speaking of taste, we believe you’ll love our take on the flavors of the Lowcountry in the dishes on our main menu!
We took my mother here for her 94th birthday and they were so accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious and Jess, our bartender and server was exceptional. The scallops were amazing! Definitely check it out!
Ugh, I wanted to love this place. The menu is creative with a variety of great options, and the cocktail list is impressive, but it just didn't deliver. I know that part of the issue is that we dined on NYE, with limited staff, and the restaurant was absolutely packed, but we just didn't get enough out of the experience to make us want to return. Our cheese board must have been reused from a previous table because a wedge of cheese had an obvious bite, but we just threw it aside instead of overwhelming the already frazzled weight staff of 2. The lobster mac & cheese was good but lacked any wow factor, and the ribeye was extremely chewy. The place has potential, but they would have been better suited to close for NYE instead of delivering a subpar experience.
Holiday evening. Staff was very friendly but busy. Menu is interesting but a little limited. Overall, pretty good.
Excellent menu and staff!
The food and cocktails were fantastic!
Everything was great! Thanks.
Always good ,cocktails interesting and inventive, food was well prepared nothing overcooked
No atmosphere! Steak thin and small. Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Potatoes ok. Grandson had lobster Mac. Very little lobster
Dine here two nights ago while on a trip to Myrtle Beach. It was a quiet night. The bartender waited on all of the patrons. Another gentleman did serve the food out of the kitchen .
Beer and cocktails were good. I had the Blood Orange Old Fashioned and it was excellent. We shared the lobster egg rolls and the crab and pimento cheese dip. Both are excellent.
Lobster mac and cheese was good as was the burger and rock shrimp taco. The rock shrimp po boy didn't have enough shrimp and the fried green tomato BLT would have been excellent if there had been more bacon. I hardly tasted the bacon at all. The regular fries were fine but the truffle fries were not that great. Could hardly taste the truffle!
Stick with the small shareables until Strong Waters improves their main courses.
We have been here on several occasions for lunch and dinner and have always enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The food is interesting and well prepared. There are several sharing options and small plates. We especially enjoyed the sea bass tacos and the burgers were also a big hit. The wine list and beer options are wide ranging and should suit most tastes.
Great service and cocktails. They were out of fish for seafood options disappointing
Our experience was good until the golf-outing diners flooded into the room as we were about half way through our dinner. Our table was 5-6 feet from the bar so that we were engulfed by the crowd and the noise level precluded conversation even across the table. The staff was taxed but did see to it that we received our bill promptly so that we could escape. The low-country caprese was a tasty riff on the original. My crab-cake sandwich was very large and very good. My husband was disappointed that they were out of the sea bass AND it’s alternative grouper. His steak was good but not the seafood he was looking for. We would give them another try with the caveat that there was no golf group on the premises!
Very good food and the service was great. Recommend that you give it a try.
Fantastic experience. Service was great, drinks killer and the food top notch.
Great service from the moment we walked into the restaurant. Travis made excellent cocktails and provided fantastic table service. The only reason I did not give all 5 stars was because they were out of two sides...fingerling potatoes and risotto. We made adjustments in our choices and were mostly satisfied. My Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Admittedly, I should have let them know, but wasn’t in the mood to make it an issue. Would totally go back, and would make them aware of items not prepared appropriately. Oh, and the solo live music was really nice.
What a great meal and wonderful drinks. Highly recommend Strong Waters
Food ok. Service ok. Drinks were the best thing. Nothing special, probably wouldn’t go back.
Excellent farm to table restaurant. This was our second time dining at strong waters and it was just as good as we remembered. The chefs board had a nice variety of tasty items to start us out, and the drinks were delicious. The food is incredibly fresh and sure to please.
Scallops were very good, chicken and dumplings tasted like progresso chicken noodle soup.
Food took 90+ mins to come out for a party of 6. Not good for it being not busy that night. Once we got served, the food was good. Cocktails are great, but be prepared to wait for food.
This restaurant served amazing food! Great service and trendy decor.
Really fun place with interesting craft cocktails and fun food! Travis was attentive and fun and did a great job taking care of us! Relaxed atmosphere, cool vibe and great place to visit! We had tuna tacos and fried green tomato blt along with a few different appetizers- Brussels sprouts and shrimp and crab dip- all very good. Cocktails are fun and interesting- they will accommodate your likes and bartenders creation is a fun one to try- unique to your tastes! They had live music- guy and guitar played everything from Chris Stapleton to Tom Petty- really good! Highly recommend checking them out!
We had a great time. Staff was super friendly and the food was tasty and unique for the area. We will definitely be back and we recommend it to others!
The food was very tasty. There were only 2 people working. They were the hostess, bartender, waiter, delivered food to tables & busboy. Too much for a full restaurant. Hopefully they wasted their hands after touching the dirty dishes.
Everything about Strong Waters was Great. Service was awesome. The live music was point on along with the cocktails and food. Will be back.
Food was great, the manager made us feel welcomed. She was very attentive. My daughter loved the sliders. Bartender seem nice but due to a mistake on the order he never came back to check on us to see how was everything with the meal. He seemed upset or maybe he was just having a bad day. Hope his day got better.
Great server, and great food
Place was empty but food was great. Service suffers due to poor staffing levels.
The staff seemed outwardly hostile, not even getting off their seats to accommodate us. For the price, the food wasn’t great, neither were the drinks.
Great food and friendly staff. Loved the cocktails.
I can’t believe I’m even writing this. Our service was amazing. I don’t recall the bartenders name but I know he just moved from Michigan. He was great, super friendly, quick and gave us some options. We were super excited to try here, read the reviews what could go wrong right? We got the chefs board for an app it was ok nothing spectacular about it. Then we got the FGBLT, duck and the lobster Mac n cheese. The sandwich was ok nothing super great about it. The duck my husband got he said was a let down. And last but not least the Lobster mac n cheese was the worst of all. Now we LOVE lobster Mac n cheese. We’ve had it from several different places and loved everyone so I was super excited about it. It was beyond unbearably smoky. Overpowering smoky. Now I thought maybe I was just being sensitive, my husband eats everything and took two bites and couldn’t stand it either. For $32 we expected a lot more out of it. It didn’t have much ‘cheese’ either. Super disappointing. All the presentations were nice. Our waiter was super kind and adjusted things for us and I felt terrible sending it back but I couldn’t believe how terrible it really was. We also were the only ones there for a solid hour which was kind of odd. Unfortunately don’t think it will be a place we go back to.
Amazing bar/restaurant.. beautiful decor.. delicious food.. and unique drinks from the bar. Our bartender whipped up specialties based on a few of our favorite flavors. Can’t wait to return!
Place is ok....made a reservation for my mother on sister on mothers day,was not busy and didnt even need a reservation. We sat down at 1130 and did not receive our food until AFTER 1230! Not one sorry or apology from anyone. All we got was from our waiter and he simply said "your food is coming up" mind you it was still 20 mins after he said that. My mom and sister had the lobster benedict they said it was really good,I had the chefs choice 3 egg omelet...it was ok again, could have been sooo much better but I did not get hardly any feta cheese and the shrimp were way too big for that omelet. Inwas very excited about the grilled bacon but what I got was to pieces of regular bacon...it dis not live up to its picture. Overall I get what they are trying to do here but for that price your customer service and ticket times are underwhelming to say the least. Could easily be a five star place.
Service was excellent. We were sat loud next to a loud child and moved no problem. The kale salad- kale was very mature and a little hard to chew. The dressing taste like plain oil. We asked for additional dressings. The tomato basil vinaigrette was amazing. We then moved on to the scallop entree. It was about 5 scallops that we're slightly overdone over 2 pieces of broccolini and a tablespoon of butternut squash puree. Ok food small portions=not a good value for a $100 dinner
My daughter and I visited Strong Waters during a weekend Mom/daughter trip. I made a reservation on open table for 7:30, and upon walking in, we were about to be the only ones for dinner. There does not seem to be a host/hostess, so we had to go to the bar to be seated. The establishment is pleasingly minimalistic-trendy and clean. It was surprising to find that all tables in the bar were high-tops (not my preferred seating)... except for one reserved for larger parties. The server who sat us was friendly and available without being overbearing. He recommended the charcuterie, which was very very good. For cocktails, I had the Lavender Field (Vodka, lavender syrup, cranberry, lime) and my daughter had the Honeysuckle Mule; both were not overly sweet and DELICIOUS. For dinner, I had the Pan-seared Tuna with cilantro coulis. I asked for it medium rare, and it came out so rare that I had to send it back. Although there was no mention of cumin in the description, I could not taste the Tuna nor the cilantro due to the overabundance of the spice. My daughter got the market fish (don’t remember the name) over rice, and it was done perfectly. We ordered the Strawberry Shortcake for dessert which was extremely dry, not flavorful and very disappointing. The chef board and cocktails were the highlights of our visit and I would definitely return to start there and move on to an actual restaurant afterward. All that being said, because the ambiance is pleasing, the service is excellent, the drinks and chef board were on point, I would strongly recommend it for a pre dining or cocktail/ live music experience.
Enjoyed the Chicken and Biscuits particularly the cracking garnish and the green tomato salad. The craft cocktails were delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming but not obtrusive
Overly priced for mediocre food. We ordered drinks and appetizers and could not eat the apps because they were so bad. Ambiance was great and it could be a fun place but they need to work on food quality
Did not honor my reservations. Had reservations for 645, showed up and was told that I couldn’t be seated until 7:45.
Food and drinks were great, enjoyed everything we ordered! Music was awesome. The lighting was the only thing we think could be improved, did seem very cozy in the main part of the room.
We went to Strong Waters for their Valentine's three-course meal. It was excellent, as were the drinks & staff. The live music was great & the atmosphere was very stylish. Despite it being a relatively small venue the seating was very comfortable even with the crowd. The smoked cocktail was delicious and the ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. It even had a speakeasy entrance that we entered through. I highly recommend it and hope it excels in the area. I'll definitely be back to try the regular menu. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
