Brianna was amazing. She made sure that everything was amazing even though my husband ended up with the wrong meal. She went back to the kitchen to make sure that we had the right meal. Over and beyond her services to make sure we have a great experience.
we observed the employees taking masks off when they had stepped away from patrons to go to the kitchen or bar. Also, our servers mask did not cover his nose.
2 of the 4 people enjoyed their food.
We went during valentines day and it was pretty busy. My friend received a well done burger instead of a medium. The manager immediately came out and comped the burger AND the desserts to boot. Overall we had a good time.
Some staff not wearing masks over their nose which was very concerning especially as they were in customer’s faces like that. Our waiter was great and wore his appropriate the entire time. Margarita flight was a favorite.
Great overall experience - we were there for Restaurant Week so go the Surf & Turf meal that was offered. Filet, Shrimp and a Snow Crab - paired with garlic green beans and mashed potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly - as was the shrimp - the crab was slightly over cooked - meat wouldnt "pull" out like it should have but still tasted good. Wait staff was very attentive - I will go there again no doubt!
We visited for my birthday during Norfolk restaurant week. We both ordered the pre fixe surf and turf which was EXCELLENTLY prepared; however, we were surprised to have to ask for condiments which would, in our minds, be a normal accoutrement to such a meal, and then to have to wait while our food was unfortunately cooling for said condiments to be delivered. We even had to ask for crackers for the crab legs and forewent seafood forks. Our server was less than attentive mid-meal. Don’t order the Mimosa flight unless you enjoy mostly tinctures champagne, but I was very pleased they allowed me to send it back and get a truly delightful caramel apple mule instead!
This is a nice hidden gem in Waterside. I enjoyed the food, ambience and service. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Server made great menu recommendations. I will be back soon.
Waited for 15 minutes after being seated. No one talked to us. Wait staff helped tables in front of us and behind us several times. We weren't even given water. So finally we left.
The food was exceptional along with the view. Nice water view dining experience with excellence service, and drinks!
Although it was raining the water view was relaxing. The quiet atmosphere was conducive to conversation with my dining partners. The seafood platter was delicious. Bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer an excellent choice or paired with a salad would make a good meal. Would highly recommend.
The food was good, the drinks were good as well. The prices are a little steep though.
I expected with the prices that this place would be good. My husband's drink was missing an essential element to it which made it taste horrible and the waiter didn't offer to get him a new one or take it back to get it added. We were never asked if we wanted anymore adult drinks, nor received refills on the only water he brought. The seafood was tough and cold by the time we got it. Our waiter never checked on us after we got the food. We spent $140 on food and drinks that were very poor. And there were only a handful of tables the waiter was handling so he should not have been so negligent of his tables
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Would recommend.
Food was horrible and fast food like at best
Tl;dr - Most of the food was not good, and were not worth the money.
Our waitress was nice and quick and the drinks were fine. Beyond that, we're never going back here again.
We started with a dozen oysters. I've eaten a lot of oysters in my life, and this is the first time I ever sent them back. They smelled fishy and were not fresh. While the waitress assured us they were fresh today, they tasted like spoiled seafood. So either she was wrong about that, or they just get cheap oysters.
Next, our entrees were just bad. I had the stuffed flounder with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were super dry, as was the flounder. It seemed like it had been cooked, then sat out and microwaved. My husband got the seafood pasta, and it was the best dish we had, simply because it was OK. But it wasn't worth the $30 they charge for it.
I'm not happy giving a 2 star review, because the location on the water is great. Maybe some of their other dishes are better, but our experience was bad. We won't be going back, despite it literally being within walking distance for us.
Very good service from Grace, the food and beers she recommended were excellent.
Hubby and I ate outside and enjoyed a beautiful sunset near the water. Worth the view every time.
It was a pleasurable experience.
Food was great. Menu limited due to COVID-19.. but whar ordered was great.
We had an amazing experience. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. The food was amazing and they kept everyone distant due to COVID.
We love this place!!! Food is great, ambiance is great n so is the staff
Food was horrible. But great server
Food is on par with the other seafood restaurants in the area, but it’s waterfront dining area is perfect for watching the sunset while you dine.
Wonderful place! Amazing food (key lime pie a must!) Very kind staff.
The beer battered haddock and the soft shell crabs were tasty. The meals which included french fries and cole slaw were a little overpriced. It would have been nice to have other selections of sides, I e. baked potato, green vegetable, rice pilaf, etc.
Daughter in town visiting
Nice outdoor seating area with waterside views. Reasonably priced.
Very disappointed, not planning to go back anytime soon.
We sat out on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed the food and location. We had calamari, hush puppies, fried platter, burgers, sweet potato fries. It was all amazing. Our server was on point and friendly. I’ve recommended it to family and friends who have expressed the same. I will definitely return.
We had Kaitlynn as our server and she provided an exceptional experience for our first visit to Striper’s. We will definitely be returning and requesting her as our server!
We had the seafood platter, everything was good, especially the fried shrimp. The sweet potato fries and the garlic green beans were outstanding. The wait staff were excellent.
Ready to be helped by anyone. They made sure we had a waitress and it was a good experience.
Stripper is having a very hard time after a COVID. Several new servers and cooks. Manager was trying to make up for it, but the problems were obvious. I hope they can get it together soon, because I love the venue.
Our server was great, she seemed to be the only one actually working while the rest of the staff seemed confused.
Food was good, although it was delivered to our table in several separate deliveries.
Excellent food, environment and service!
Dinner was awesome
Gorgeous day - sat out on the patio and watched all the boats go by. So nice to get out!
Service was all over the place. Our waiter didn’t know the menu at all and had to keep coming back and change our orders. Luckily the food was good, but maybe do a little homework before you clock in
Very, very slow service with very little business on a Monday night.
