Enjoy unapologetically authentic Thai food in the East End. All food is made from scratch by native Thai chef and James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas Benchawan Jabthong Painter.

Chef Benchawan and her husband—who also spend time in their Bangkok home each year—have painstakingly built out a restaurant that would fit into Bangkok’s hip Thong Lor neighborhood, but they have located it in Houston. Expect trendy Thai vibes, music, strong cocktails and an adventurous wine list to accompany Chef Benchawan’s acclaimed dishes.

When booking your reservation, all children—regardless of age—must be included in the head count. The largest party Street to Kitchen can accommodate is 6 people. If more than 6, you can arrange a private Thai tasting menu, including a minimum spend. Please contact us via email at eatthai@streettokitchen.org.

She will create a feast to remember, using lavish ingredients like Grass Fed Ribeye, Crispy Tiger Prawns, Fresh Gulf Seafood, Perigord Truffles and Caviar.     Great food, the staff was presumptuous at best. The gentleman running food and bussing the table was very nice. They insisted on telling us how the meal should be handled so we were not allowed to order an appetizer while we looked over the drink menu. Seated under an air vent asked to move but told the other tables were reserved. We were 1 of 2 tables seated. When we left they were less than half full. Went elsewhere for dessert did not feel very welcomed.

    Outstanding service, great knowledge of the menu. Our waitress was very helpful in recommending dishes for first timers there. The ambiance is lively and food is spicy. The drinks are unique and well made. 5/5 stars.

    Food was good, service was good overall. A little bit slow initially, but after that no issues. Very spicy, true to what the waiter said!

    How did this place get a Michelin star? My friend and I each ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and the shrimp was undercooked. We only ate a few bites and asked them to take it away. I told the waiter about the issue. He apologized, but did nothing to make amends. Very disappointing.
