Enjoy unapologetically authentic Thai food in the East End. All food is made from scratch by native Thai chef and James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas Benchawan Jabthong Painter.

Chef Benchawan and her husband—who also spend time in their Bangkok home each year—have painstakingly built out a restaurant that would fit into Bangkok’s hip Thong Lor neighborhood, but they have located it in Houston. Expect trendy Thai vibes, music, strong cocktails and an adventurous wine list to accompany Chef Benchawan’s acclaimed dishes.

When booking your reservation, all children—regardless of age—must be included in the head count. The largest party Street to Kitchen can accommodate is 6 people. Outstanding service, great knowledge of the menu. Our waitress was very helpful in recommending dishes for first timers there. The ambiance is lively and food is spicy. The drinks are unique and well made. 5/5 stars.

How did this place get a Michelin star? My friend and I each ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and the shrimp was undercooked. We only ate a few bites and asked them to take it away. I told the waiter about the issue. He apologized, but did nothing to make amends. Very disappointing.
