Once we arrived, greeted after a while by the Waiter in the bar, although at those coronavirus times grabbing the glasses by it's top seems a bit stressed rather than the bottom. Honestly service could be better, but the food was excellent.

We inadvertently made a reservation for the Olive Grove while meaning to go the Union Street Cafe. Staff was very accommodating, and we were given access to the Cafe menu while being seated in the Olive Grove. Service was very good. The food, however, was just ok. Ramsey's specialties, wellington and risotto were not as good as they should have been. The wellington crust was tough and the risotto was slightly undercooked. Would be willing to give it another chance, making sure the reservation was for the Cafe.

Didn't realise olive grove was the bar not the restaurant so dont book if you want food! Staff were great though and accommodated us in the restaurant with little problem. Food was really amazing as was service. General atmosphere lacks but couldn't fault food and wine.

Really great experience at the Olive Grove. The bar staff were very accommodating with our big group. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the Olive Grove to others.

My review is more about the restaurant upstairs rather than the bar. Booked at the Olive Grove to go with my dad (Wednesday), thinking it could be fun to try some cocktails and nibbles but when I walked in downstairs, all I saw was a sad empty basement. A poor attempt to recreate a Mediterranean patio on a basement without windows, I don't think the olive tree in the middle is enough. I can imagine this being a fun place on the weekend maybe, with a large group filling in the space but still... it's just a small basement with terrible lighting. Quite depressing if you're on a date. Luckily they had tables at the restaurant and we had an unexpected, delicious, tasty dinner. I cannot fault the food. Giving it a whole new meaning to Italian food. Interesting flavour/ingredients combinations. It was a shame the sommelier brought us a carafe to the table without showing us the bottle first. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant looks ideal for business lunches I would say.

I’m very very disappointed on this. I booked 2 weeks in advance for my birthday dinner there. At the moment when I arrived they told me in a very disrespectful way that the place was shut for a private party. I went with he hostess to tell them to explain it to me. And they said that they tried to call to tell me that my reservation was cancelled. Of course they didn’t called me. They should tried harder or send me messages or email. Even though let me know from here. I chose this restaurant for my birthday and I had great expectations. I admired Gordon Ramsey, I’m very disappointed. I’m on the food business and I know this is. Or the polite way to treat a client. They should told me that they would make it up to me in a Roger way. And they were just not interested, not in me. Not in my friends. Not that my birthday was cancelled. Thank you, for ruining my night. Never coming back! Not interested anymore in the place.

Excellent food. Some reviews have marked the service as slow. It certainly wasn't fast but best described as 'considered', allowing a lazy Saturday afternoon meal. Maybe too considered if you are in a rush and having a business lunch, but just right for friends in no rush. Will definitely return.

Pleasantly surprised, food was delicious, service was impeccable and personable, they catered for my additional (last minute) guests, stretched out the night at the bar downstairs. Would recommend and be back soon. Good times!

Had a great evening catching up with a friend here. Cocktails were fantastic, very inventive! Food was small plates but great value, allowing us to splash out on trying most of the cocktail menu!! The service was the only thing that let the place down. We waited a long time for our first drinks (30mins!) and then after that they were very attentive... perhaps a little too much, but we still had a great eveing - the ambience was good.
