Wonderfully prepared, thoughtful food. It was very nice to have vegetarian food with protein options.
Fresh produce and creative seasonings but sadly no gluten free options.
The evening was perfect. A beautiful table was set for seven on our arrival. (always welcoming). The dinner selections were varied and all very good. Quail salad!! And the chocolate dessert....awesome.
Worst dining experience we have had since COVID. Waitress brings empty glasses (NO ICE). Water is in a glass bottle. They do not serve iced tea as Texans know it. Only lavender and some other flavor in a bottle. They could even use Lipton. Don't know what state they thing they are in but should review the culture or go back to Austin. We went right around the corner to the Chop House and enjoyed salmon and a pork chop cooked to perfection. "ICED TEA" and a variety of fine wine was served at a "reasonable price." The menu of the first restaurant did not reflect the online menu displayed. We were told "oh it changes everyday and since this is not the only restaurant it may not be exact." Really? Then why put one online in the first place? Please go back to Austin where they like things "WEIRD" and incorrect. Before you ask we did pay the tab and tipped the waitress 20%. A first class restaurant would have comped the unfinished wine and whatever the waitress referred to as tea.
I will definitely be going back to see how their menu evolves as the season's change! A friend recommended the spinach & chard dip. When we got there chard was in lower supply but they were all stocked up on fresh, ripe tomatoes so it was replaced by a tomatillo salsa. I love the idea of eating this way, cherishing what is fresh and available and making something special from it! We also enjoyed the quail knots, the black salt and vinegar fries and a delicious little strawberry rhubarb pie. I cannot wait to try more from Store House!
Great atmosphere, service and wonderful fresh and creative food options. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about what to order if having to be on a Gluten Free diet.
Lisa was fantastic. She was really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The quail knots were our favorite menu item we had. We will definitely go back again soon.
We had a great time. Adorable small restaurant, immensely attentive and lovely staff, excellent and inventive food.
Great atmosphere, music, service and food. Well curated adult beverages and fresh veggies. Bastrop has gained a jewel.
We came to listen to the live music, so the wonderful food was a bonus! I’m sure we’ll be back.
Just as good as the first time!
Quail was way overcooked and tasted like an overdone skinning chicken wing. Pasta was also bland and the service was far from great, especially considering home few tables were getting waited on inside. Did not live up to the hype with a know Austin Chef.
Tried one of the specials (shrimp ceviche) and was not disappointed. Everything was A+
Always a fantastic dinner. Make sure to get your reservation in advance!
I wish I could write a better review. I had so much hope in going here that Bastrop was going to finally have an Austin quality restaurant but that is not what we found. First off, the outside 4 top tables are not even at the correct height. I am 5’2 and the top of the table was above my chest. This seems a pretty easy thing for a restaurant to get right. I had the mushroom pasta dish and it was tasty but it was odd to use a macaroni noodle instead of a different noodle. My husband had the smoked vegetables and they just weren’t special. The margarita style cocktail was tasty. Just really a disappointing evening when I had such high expectations. Maybe I was just hoping for too much.
We appreciate you dining with us. We encourage open communication between our guests and staff to make sure we exceed your expectations. I'm sorry the table was uncomfortable and we would have gladly offered a different table had we known. We hope you will visit us again!
Love the fresh food and the service is very good, but I have had issues with my reservations made thru Open Table. Seems to be something they are working on.
Perfect dinner and evening after the storms Friday April 23. The food, service and atmosphere are all wonderful. In fact they were exceptional! I will be going back!
Thank you for your support!
As soon as I heard about this place in Bastrop, I was looking for an occasion to make plans and visit. The venue is cozy with a small indoor dining room and charming patio. It was intimate without feeling crowded.
The menu is a handful of incredibly well-executed dishes. At our first time eating there, we learned that they also rotate in additional specials based on what's seasonal, or rather currently ready for harvest at their farm.
Everything we had was fantastic -- from drinks to dishes to dessert.
Would highly recommend it for anything from appetizers and drinks to an hours-long multi-course dining event.
Thank you so much for coming out! We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon!
A must go, best of the best. Great staff, food & atmosphere
Great farm to table place with fresh food & unique dishes.
Thank you for coming out to dine with us!
Love this place and so happy to have them in Bastrop. Good drinks. The black salt and vinegar fries are absolutely amazing! 😋
Thank you for dining with us and for the kind words! We believe our fries are the best in town!
We love everything about this place! The food is so fresh and very high quality. The staff is always friendly and the cocktails are perfect!
Thank you for the kind review!
We had the Texas board, quail knots, and Farm BQ. We cleaned our plates it was so good. Can’t wait for our next visit!
Come back soon! Thank you for coming out to dine with us!
Incredible quail knots !
Beautiful guitar music by Jonas Wilson!
Thank you for dining with us!
Lovely patio, great service from Lisa, amazing food. The neighboring establishment had live music, but fortunately, we didn't mind too much.
Thank you for the kind words! We are grateful for Lisa!
Mildly disappointed. Our meals did not come together so I was almost done by the time my husband’s food came. Wagyu beef was tough and chewy. I’d go back to give it another try but only because there aren’t many options here.
We ordered a selection of appetizers and entrees. They were hit or miss but different enough to all be enjoyable. Relaxed and comfortable service
The Food was awesome! We were with another couple and tried everything except the steak. The Shrimp & grits and the Quail knots were my personal favorites ..
We are so lucky to have a good new Chef in Bastrop! Thanks so much for a lovely meal!
On Bastrop main street, a gem of a restaurant. The food was fresh, relaxed atmosphere friendly service and reasonable price for the quality.
We tried several different dishes and they were all outstanding!
We had a wonderful time! The food was amazing snd the staff warm and welcoming! A new favorite for sure!
Thank you for stopping in! We are so glad you had a great time!
We had the steak and it was unbelievable! Lovely inside as well as in the courtyard. Such nice people too!
Thank you for dining with us!
Great addition to Bastrop! Recommend the salt & vinegar fries, focaccia bread, and Texas Waygu. I cannot wait to go back and save room for dessert.
We are so happy to have found our home in Bastrop! We can always pack up dessert to go :) Hope you come back soon!
Food and service was great!
Music choice was a bit hectic and too loud to have a relaxing conversation.
Our server did reduce volume for us.
We will be back!
Thank you for stopping in to dine with us!
Come for the food, stay for the cocktails!
We eat here regularly now, and are very thankful to have this level of restaurant in Bastrop. Best farm-to-table in the area.
Thank you for the support! We love having you dine with us!
New to the area, it’s good to have a new choice to eat in a small
Town. Ambiance is good for a date night.
Food was pretty good. Not many choices, my husband was very satisfied with the steak. Music kept turning on / off and was very loud at times.
Nice cocktail option.
Thank you for dining with us!
Our server was super friendly, he explained the menu in full including the specials. The cocktails were FANTASTIC! I can’t wait til they open up for lunch. Everyone is super super friendly, and helpful. I plan to spend a lot of time at the Storehouse restaurant!
Thank you for dining with us! We're happy you'll be a regular! We are anxiously awaiting to open more hours to serve our fantastic guests!
It was a delightful evening in the patio, with Lisa to greet us and a good waitperson to explain the food. The ambiance was mild 70's, sunset light, and quiet surroundings! We ordered "almost" everything, because Daniel likes for all of us to sample/share, which was great. I love veggies mostly, so I passed on the Drum. I give 5 Stars!
Thank you for coming out! We agree that Lisa is wonderful and we're lucky to have her provide great service to our guests. We hope you'll return soon!
