This is a neighborhood gem! Elegant yet casual, comfortable and welcoming inside! Small menu but something for everyone! Have visited several times and have enjoyed all the food we have ordered! The owner is very personable and always greets the guests. Kyle is the greatest server! Give it a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Very good choices for the limited menu. They don't serve liquor - just beer and wine, but the food makes up for it. Great quality. The dishes we tried had something a little unique about the way they were prepared, which made it a better experience, too

This restaurant is a true “neighborhood gem”! It is beautifully decorated, with relaxing, comfortable seating . they have an impressive wine list and delicious food. I had tenderloin sliders—delicious! Perfect cook and flavor. I like the fact that they offer small plate, in addition to their full size menus. You can go for a casual week night dinner or for a special celebration!

Very nice ambience,great seating.Food service was very slow for a place that was less than half full.Beef tenderloin sliders ordered by 2 of us medium rare were well done and dry.Beet salad with pears and cheese was virtually devoid of beets and pears.Pork belly egg rolls and Caprese salad with salmon was very good.After discussing with our server,we heard the slow service was due to being short staffed in the kitchen.Interesting but means nothing to a customer.In response to our comments on the poorly prepared entrees,we were asked if we would like them re-prepared.We declined.No offer of removal from our check was made.In short,we have tried them but will not return.

They were not busy when we arrived and it took about 10 minutes before anyone even greeted us or gave us a menu ( there was no one at the host station and a sign that said seat yourself) There were three servers at the bar who saw us come in.
They were out of burgers (on a Saturday at 5:45?)
Once we got waited on and got our food it was very good. Maybe some glitches to work out and training to be done?

We have eaten here several times before and only twice had a negative experience. Once was with an inexperienced or badly trained waitress and the second was when we ordered the pork tenderloin sliders which had a minuscule amount of meat in them but it was tasty. Our food has been on the whole been very good here but Saturday we had a young waitress and she was not well trained. In a restaurant like Stompin Barley you shouldn’t need to have to ask for more silverware. My husband had the Caesar Salad which was good and I had the Wedge Salad which was also good. I had the Shrimp and Grits . It was Florentine on Saturday and whilst good it could have been even better with a little more sauce. My husband had the Scallops which were only served with Asparagus for $26 - Some New potatoes or pasta would have been a good addition. We find the wine list a little pricey and nearly always have the Cune Rioja.

A hidden gem! The name leads you to think it’s more of a beer and burger place, but the menu, wine list and ambiance are lovely! Beautiful interior, good service! Food for the most part was great. Would definitely go back.

I reserved my table online but called to ask if they were baby friendly as my group had a 1 year old and they said they accommodate minors but there were no high chairs. Someone then called me back Bc the owner offered to bring in a high chair from home which was extremely thoughtful. The waitress was amazing and sneaky. I kept grabbing my glass of water and getting surprised because it was somehow always full. Very kind people. The interior is beautiful and modern. My only problem was with the food. It was presented beautifully but had no flavor. And the portions were very small. The desserts seemed to be premade or something. This business has potential but might need to up their food game.

Great waiter but... would have been better off not opening... the great truffle fries we’re oily. Could not get ice tea. Food wrong temp on steaks. Heard the chef left from last time we were here... brought 2 year old no high chair was told they were looking to be a 21 and up location but nothing on here or at the rest. Said that. Look they have a great idea and a lot of the food was great but the downside was huge tonight. Will miss the crab soup but tonight’s was very good. The owner needs to set the standards then make them work, tonight was a great effort by almost zero staff! Will give it a try again as it was great the first time ...

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed but we had the Tenderloin Sliders on Friday night and there was very little pork in them. There was only enough meat in two for one slider. Quality was fine but I am not sure it was pork tenderloin - more like roast pork. We will definitely return. Waitress Gretchen (?) was very good.

was really looking forward to trying this place but should have know Easter was not the time to do it - prime rib was undercooked & chewy, salmon was extremely salty, alfredo was sticky & bacon was greasy + NO dessert, not even a cookie :(( but decor was attractive & food presentation was nice, may try again later but not at the top of my list, sorry

The food was fabulous! There were 4 of us dining and each of us ordered the 6 oz. fillet. with a salad. The steak was cooked perfectly for each of us and the presentation was outstanding! We loved the wedge salad as well as the Caesar salad...both were delicious. There was a great selection of wine to choose from. My husband and I love this place...it's one of our favorites! Try the Shrimp & Grits or the Salmon or actually anything on the menu...you won't be disappointed.

First visit and very enjoyable. We ordered from the Taste of Hamilton County prix fixe menu
($36). The value was amazing. My husband had the octopus appetizer, Korean ribs and strawberry parfait and I had she-crab soup, salmon, and flourless coffee cake. Both of us were delighted with every dish. The coffee cake was more chocolate-y than coffee flavored so they could call it flourlesss mocha cake and thereby capture the coffee and chocolate lovers' vote.
We ordered a bottle of red Conundrum to drink and were tickled to find it was a liter instead of 75cl. The screw cap came into its own, so now enjoy this easy wine tomorrow night as well.
Gretchen, our waitress knew a lot and quickly returned with answers to our most penetrating questions. Kudos to an incredible chef.

Outstanding food! The preparation and presentation are always excellent! We took newbie's with us and they were very happy with their choices. Continue to hope more people find it and become devoted to it so it doesn't go away!!

We enjoyed two salads and wine. You have the option of salads, small plates and full entrees so they can satisfy any appetite level. The menu changes seasonally. It does not have ordinary meat and potatoes type food. If you like to try new things, this is the place to go in NE Carmel, easily accesible from west Fishers and south Noblesville too

Don't let the name fool you! This is not a brewery with bar food. It's a casual chic restaurant with a good beer and wine list and a seasonal menu of interesting culinary creations. They recently changed the set-up of the restaurant to provide for a separate bar area with high-top tables with very cushy, comfortable seats. This is a neighborhood gem, in a easy-to-miss spot, with an unfortunately deceptive name! Try it; you'll like it!!

We went to Stompin Barley on the recommendation of a friend. It did not disappoint. We had a table of 6 and we all had to share a bite of each others food, it was so good. Overall vibe of the place is good, food is displayed with a flair. I highly recommend Chef Kyle's menu!!!

Our first time to experience Stompin' Barley tonight. The Pulled Pork Egg Rolls were really good! The Filet and Beef Medallions were cooked to perfection with great flavor! The Cajun Sweet Poitato Fries were super good but spicier than we thought they'd be but very good! The Brussel Sprouts were also fantastic; crunchy like I like! The Chocolate Cake was good but a little dry. We added Ice Cream with it and it was so good with the fresh brewed Coffee we ordered. Our server Lauren was knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs; refills were there before we asked and service was great! The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and very clean. Beer and wine only! We're goin' back!

Waiter was very attentive and equally as accomadating. My initial thought was $38.70 was pricey for a glass of wine, salmon salad and tip ... but the salmon was VERY fresh. Often times when you get salmon on a salad at other restaurants ... it is fishy, not tasty and there is nothing exciting about adding it to the salad. I typically do not eat fish as I am vegan. (If necessary, my only protein exception is shrimp and salmon.). A vegan burger addition to the menu would be real nice! To be candid, The Local has a vegan burger and Four Day Ray has a vegan burger, so I frequent them. I would dine there, again.

For my mom's birthday, I took her and my aunt's to Stompin' Barley. I had been there twice before, but they had not been and loved it. We all had the salmon and a nice bottle of wine. Service was great!

Perfect as always. One of the top 3 restaurants in the greater Carmel, IN area including those spots (i.e., Provision) along the 86th Street / Keystone corridor. If you haven't tried Stompin Barley, you are missing out on great food, wine and exceptional service from local owners. Forego the chains and dine at Stompin Barley.
