A terrific improvement from our last visit where the DJ music was in my opinion loud doof rubbish to this visits chilled tunes. Bar service was also much more timely with moderate table service. Our waiter John was excellent and the food first class.
Thoroughly enjoyed the newer menu as we hadn't been for a few months. Everything was excellent with several highlights. There are a few things we couldn't fit in which will be worth a try next time. Obviously a talented group of chefs.
The waitstaff and wine staff were helpful and attentive without being overly so. The young woman who looked after our table was bright and knowledgeable.
Beautiful food, loved the menu, drinks and even the coffee.
We were pretty close to the kitchen, which I enjoy watching, we could see the staff working away, haste without stress and noise. Lovely experience.
A little expensive, but food was so very good. We had a lovely afternoon, thank you.
Hayley was amazing as always!
Loved the market fish dish!
Amazing food and friendly staff. Absolutely worth every dollar
Excellent service, great location and food. Good value for money.
Amazing food. We did miss the chicken on the menu. The staff were lovely to our girls (4 and 6)--really appreciate that!
Food was sensational from start to finish, not one item was not to like. Particular mention, the Moreton Bay bugs and last but not least "the bombe" dessert....absolutely amazing and a must try!
Second time dining here and was not as good as the first. Food is excellent, however service could be Improved, our waiter could have done with a bit more finesse when asking why we didn't finish one of our dishes, left my partner feeling quite embarrassed. We finish our meal at 8pm and eventually had to ask for the bill at 9pm as we were left sitting at our table waiting. Quote noisy, especially with a table of 6 drunk people right behind us. Probably won't be back.
Great views. Gave us a great table as requested and made our anniversary special
Outstanding food and service.. the main course was a little slow coming out but we had a fabulous evening
Amazing experience. We went for my partner's B'day and were sat right on the river with a brilliant vantage of the city and bridges. The duck was fantastic. It's expensive, but the value is there when you look at the entire experience.
Always good service and food at Stokehouse Q however there was an event on this evening that impacted on the usual prompt service and food / drink deliveries.
Outstanding service amazing food and some superb location
Fabulous dinner for our group of ten.
Everyone had a lovely time and the bill was reasonable given the quality of the food. Location and service.
Service was fairly ordinary. Had to ask for sparkling water to be topped up as well as wine.
Food was good but not amazing so overall value wasn’t great for a restaurant of this caliber.
Delicious food, consistently good produce, and a highly satisfying wine list- Stokehouse Q always a great option. Highly recommended!
I’ve entertained for business and dined with family. The service and food quality outstanding have always remained outstanding
Food and location was excellent as usual. This is a favourite 'special event' restaurant for us an have been several times with family and for business events. View over the Brisbane river and city backdrop is great. Restaurant had a service staff member call in sick on the night and were a little short staffed but I found the sommelier made an excellent backup waiter. Thanks for a great night.
Our main meals had too much salt which spoilt the whole meal. Wayne's steak was salt crusted which was not in the description and my duck was salty. Neither of us added any salt to our meals as we always taste first before adding salt. We both normally use salt but the meat was extremely salty. We had just come of a cruise and found the meal we had paid for at their top restaurants on board was a lot better. My husband and I have eaten at top restaurants around Australia and aboard and found the Stokehouse lacking and I would not recommend it.
One of the best dine-in place in Brisbane.
Never fails to disappoint.
Keep up the good work guys🙂
A piece of barramundi the size of two fish fingers for $40 is a joke. Air dried tomato.......is actually tomato powder. The total bill was $215....we went looking for dessert elsewhere.
Excellent! Our favourite place to eat in Brisbane!
4th time at StokeHouse. Came to give it another go after a previous bad experience. Really disappointment. Poor service, overpriced for average food.
Great food in a pleasant setting overlooking the Brisbane River
Service was impeccable from wait staff.
Side dishes were to salty to eat and the staff took that off the bill.
Apple dessert was for use of a better word, tough. A knife would have been better to cut through the skin and only a spoon and fork was in hand.
Overall experience of the restaurant was very good.
We love Stokehouse but our recent evening was outstanding. Food, Service, everything was wonderful.
Nice location. Very trendy. Music too loud. Very noisy. Staff is very friendly. IMO overpriced. My steak was ordered medium rare, came rare. Veggies came cold. Dessert was fine.
This restaurant was recommended to us by friends in Brisbane and we where not disappointed everything from the the time we arrived to paying the bill was seamless.
Our table gave us an uninterrupted view of the city and Brisbane river the service was exceptional along with the food.
Thank you Stokehouse for making our weekend away from Coffs Harbour, such a pleasure to receive such a high standard of service along with the food and wine.
What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday lunch with friends.
Bottomless Bollinger and lovely food. Great value and generous serves of food and bubbles.
We had an outstanding evening, which ticked all the boxes. Would certainly return.
Had my girlfriend and my 1st anniversary and she likes very certain foods so can be hard to get quality. I can not say a bad thing about Stokehouse. Lovely customer service, very nice atmosphere and food was the very best! Thank you
Great venue for a business lunch or special occasion.
Great setting. Excellent choice of food and wine.
Situated on the banks of the Brisbane River at Southbank, Stokehouse is a beautiful relaxed venue. My companions and I all enjoyed a delicious lunch, while staff were very pleasant & professional. The barramundi I ate was very tasty & cooked perfectly. The dessert I chose ( Neapolitan ice-cream), made up of layers of white & dark chocolate with a contrasting pink layer of unusual rosella flavour, was exceptional.
We went here around 2years (2017) ago & it was good.
This time (29/06/19) & it was fantastic.
We are foodies, & our dishes equaled a-grade restaurants in Sydney.
Garry, not hiding in an office, but tending tables, is an asset to Stokehouse.
Lovely table next to the river. Food and service was great with one exception: the wine waiter (s) filled our near-empty glasses with wine from another table. So our wine was somewhat wrecked and the other table was denied some of their own wine. This should not happen
Great food and service. Look forward to our next visit
Always a fantastic experience here – and beautifully supportive of our gluten and dairy free needs. Thank you team!
