This was my first time Dining at STK and I absolutely love this place, the service was one of the best I’ve experienced. Cooper was super nice! All of the food came out looking perfect and tasted really good, from the appetizers all the way to the main course. The oysters were freshed, the crabcake was juicy and full of crabmeat, calamari were crunchy, Steak was cooked perfectly. I will definitely come back again with more friends :).

Food was delicious. Went for happy hour and the meals ordered were basically tapas. Small one bite foods. I did make a note that we were there for a Bday celebration but I think it's the only place that hasn't provided a small pastry/dessert for the bday girl I've ever been too, though I guess restaurants all have their own policies. Great place but probably wouldn't return.
Celebrated my husbands birthday! The steaks we got were absolutely delicious; it melt in your mouth!! The tuna tartare appetizer was delicious as well. We will come back whenever we’re craving delicious steak!
Amazing food. The service was great. Though I did think when making the reservation this was the rooftop place... it is not. But I was still happy in the end
We went for my sons 18th birthday on a Sunday evening. We sat it the far back side room on 2 cheap wood veneer tables pushed together (not even a table cloth ) and plain plastic banquet chairs with a view of an industrial wine cooler. We had 4 steaks that were good- not spectacular- and 4 sides- the mushroom confit was terrible and cold, We had 2 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine and the bill was over $750 - they didn’t even bring a birthday dessert for my son. I would have said something while I was there but didn’t want to spoil my sons evening by pointing out the sub par table and food. I expect the Steak house experience is going to be overpriced but this was ridiculous and sadly disappointing.
It was enjoyable, some items got mixed up and the steak was over cooked, but it was recovered well!!

Honestly, it was a disappointing evening. Though our server was great, kind and apologetic when things weren't the way they were supposed to be, I wouldn't come here again. In an effort to be Boujee, the thumping music and oddly placed photo booth in the middle of the restaurant made it difficult to even have a conversation at our small table of 4. Slow to arrive food, including bread for the table that arrived nearly 30 minutes after ordering, combined with barely warm steak and lobster (2 of 4 steaks were on the well done side of medium when ordered as medium rare) left us with a "why did we come here" taste in our mouths.
The server tried his best, and he honestly saved the evening from being a complete fail.... brought us a round of wine and desert and I believe felt genuinely disappointed that our meal was less than perfect. In fact, he tried to get the manager to stop by, but sadly, the manager couldn't be bothered to speak to us. I suspect we were a bit older than the demographic the establishment appears to cater too.
Our advice.... find another steakhouse. And... if they are all sold out, don't come here because they are the only reservations open. There is a reason.
Had reservation and had to wait 20 minutes. Establishment was extremely loud for the quality of food and cost not worth money spent.

Three hours to eat dinner and had to beg bartenders and waiters to take our order. Super nice staff. But that doesn’t change the extreme lateness my mother and I experienced. I’ve never seen such a fiasco in my years of dining experience. They need older managers handling the execution of service. The food looked like something I made in 5 minutes. Crummy dishes for the restaurant week. They should not even do it if it’s going to be that skimpy and cheating people. I’ve been to Stk all the over the world. Not a good reflection.
STK was fantastic!! We made reservations for my sister's 25th birthday and it sure was a celebration!! The vibe was energetic and included a DJ; it was a great experience!
I was really disappointed with this place! We made reservations for 8:15 and didn’t get seated until 9, then ordered drinks and waited 30 min before this even arrived. We ended up getting our meal around 10:00 so didn’t get to eat until late!!!!! It was supposed to be a fun experience for my birthday and I was deeply disappointed. The steak was cooked perfect but the shrimp were over cooked. I probably will not be back. Had higher expectations for this place. Also, it’s way overpriced for the food content. If you are going to charge that much then you need to be able to deliver awesome food! Sad.
We had a reservation for 8pm and did not get seated til 9pm. When they finally sat us they chose to put us in a small corner next to a huge/ loud party. Food was delicious. Initial service was terrible. When we finally moved our sever was awesome and had great recommendations. I would not come again due to the overbooking and seat choice

We went for my 30th birthday and it was amazing. Our server Jordan was one of the best servers I have seen in a while. She was very attentive and made us laugh. Every time we come here it is such a great experience. We will definitely be coming back.
The server was WONDERFUL but the food took almost 45 minutes to come out and we weren’t seated until 20 minutes after our reservation.
Major complaint was a reservation made for standard (indoor) seating was not honored at the time of arrival. Instead an additional 45 minute wait beyond reservation time was quoted. This was misleading and we were not dressed to be seated outdoors. Furthermore, service outdoors was spotty, as given the distribution of patrons indoors and out. They did a commendable job with the limitations at hand, and we're very apologetic for the issues that arose.

STK did it again! Came in for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner. The food was exceptional. Nicole the manager made sure everything was perfect even though she didn’t need to since Alejandro made this night extra special. Everything he recommended was above and beyond. Make sure you ask for him and don’t even ask for the menu he will give you the best recommendations, I didn’t know what wine to order I explained what I liked and he brought the best wine, now one of my favorites . The music was amazing, me and my friend didn’t want to leave! The place had the best ambience, music was insane. STK made us feel safe with all of the Covid regulations, they have a very sweet lady cleaning every surface, every seat. My favorite restaurant in SD to this day.
My husband and I went for our 19th wedding anniversary and it was everything we wanted. Jordyn was an AMAZING server, passionate about customer service, and made sure we had everything we need. There was never an empty glass on our table. This shouldn't be difficult to do but so very few servers can pull that off.
I highly recommend the food! Everything from the salad to the dessert was amazing. We ordered the wedge salad, bone in filet and cowgirl ribeye with mashed potatoes, bacon mac n cheese and finally the cheesecake. The steaks were cooked perfectly slightly under medium, the mashed potatoes were the creamiest and most flavorful mashed potatoes I have ever had and the bacon mac n cheese was absolutely to die for.
And, if you want a truly unforgettable experience, make sure you ask for Jordyn to be your server.

Went for my birthday! The food was great. We were seated in a quiet back room. Service was a little weird at first, but great by the end. Overall it’s a good steakhouse.

We are on vacation in San Diego from New York so, as you can imagine, have great options in New York when it comes to dining with equally awesome service. STK was a fun, lively environment and our server AO (Anthony) was awesome! He gave great recommendations while we decided what to order, was very knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. Honestly felt like we were eating with a friend because he was just a genuinely nice guy. Overall great dining experience and surpassed the expectations of two opinionated New Yorkers who had been to the STK in NYC before!

Service was horrible. The server too fast paced. More like he was so quick to drop us off and never pick us up again. Our meals got mixed up. I ended up having to ask for items that was already on the other dish not knowing it should’ve been mine to begin with. If only he was there and the one serving our food, then I wouldn’t have to had do all of that.

We specialize in vibe dining which is a concept where you can have a drink at the bar, then have dinner with a DJ spinning in the background, before continuing the after-party in the restaurant. We came to celebrate my Sweetheart’s 40th birthday. It was our first time visiting and had previously made a brunch reservation. We were so happy to have Emily take care of us. She was amazing!! She made us feel at home and answered all of our dining questions. Emily was attentive and sincere. She normally works evenings, but I’m so glad we met her at brunch! We will definitely be back and will certainly be requesting her! Keep up the great work, Emily!!

We had a party of 18 we had to book 3 different reservation spaced out because it only allows you to reserve for 6 ppl. We enjoyed ourselves we had champagne bottles we spent a lot of money. So once we pay and leave we are outside in front of the restaurant waiting on our Uber‘s. When I’m guessing the manager comes running out with a bill saying we didn’t pay it. I looked at the bill looked at the bill and realized it was me and my boyfriend’s bill. Just for us two we spent about 450$ We paid the bill cash and tipped nicely. I told him with the attitude sir we already paid because he embarrassed us like we would leave a restaurant hang out in front and we haven’t paid our bill!!! He made us come back inside until he verified. Once he verified that we In fact did pay our bill all he did was apologize🤣 After he embarrassed us!!!! We had a party of 18+ that was only me and my boyfriends bill. So you can only imagine how much money we spent overall. That’s the thanks we get for spending all this money here. Hunted us down and called us back inside the restaurant until they verified that we DID pay the bill. We paid and selected the tip amount on a tablet that our server was holding and gave her all the money. So how was it unclear if we paid or not? Ohhhh maybe because it was most of the party was African American? Is that why we We’re hunting down like we couldn’t afford our bill? Horrible experience will we stick to Mastro’s!!!
